This is the final show at Robarts before we head to Ft Lauderdale, and the National Wrestling Alliance has tons of title matches including the main event where EC3 puts up the Ten Pounds of Gold against Jax Dane.

Once again, we’re at the Robarts Arena in Sarasota, FL. Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call, and the First Match of the Night is…

NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy and Kylie Paige)(c) vs. Missa Kate and Ruthie Jay

But here’s the thing; Envy is not here with a serious case of the flu, according to Galli.  So, Paige is defending solo and this is a handicap match.  Jay starts and hits a high front suplex on one-half of the champs for a two count.  Tag in to Kate and she gives a handstand senton for another two count.  Both women double-team Kylie, and as Jay gets her in a fireman’s carry, she rakes her eyes and sends Kate out of the ring.  Kylie gives a hip attack to Jay and covers for a two count.  She is in control and sends Jay into the corner with a dropkick for another two count.  An enzugiri gets blocked and Paige has her legs but she gets shoved off and Kate tags in and goes right at the champ to collect what’s hers.  A Kick-Fil-A finds the mark, and then the Pretty Security make their way to ringside.  Jay dives on them, and Kenzie comes out from the crowd, gives Kate a Kenzie Cutter, and drags her baby sister on top for the win.

NWA World Women’s Championship: Kenzie Paige(c) vs “Miss Starr” Samantha Starr (with Chelsea)

Starr gets a strong start but a Paige stomp in the corner halts that momentum.  Starr manages with a rollup for two and then we get an…

Ad Break (I should rant and rave, but this is more to hype up their upcoming Paranoia tapings, and it should be noted that the NWA will have new stuff on The CW starting February 6th.  More to come in the weeks ahead.  For now…)

We come back and Paige is now facing the power of Miss Starr who grinds her down.  The champ pulls her down by the hair and then Paige gets back in the driver’s seat.  There’s a slap fest going on and Starr hits Paige with a Flatliner for a two count, then goes for a Samoan drop, and then Paige grabs her ankle to indicate she’s injured/  As the ref checks on it, Starr looks on, and then goes after her regardless of her injury.  That’s when the champ suckers Miss Starr in with a Kenzie Cutter Outta Nowhere (patent pending) to get the pin and the win.

Your Winner, and Still NWA Women’s World Champion:  Kenzie Paige

After the match, Chelsea injects herself and that turns out to be a bad idea.  As Kenzie gives the badmouth to Chelsea. Starr comes to and gives the Starrstruck DDT. She makes Chelsea raise her hand in “victory.”  So it looks like this is far from over

Backstage, Kyle Davis speaks to Thom Latimer since the loss at the Samhain PPV to EC3. This is bulls***, Latimer claims of his loss,  and he feels there are machinations in place that prevent him from winning the big one.  Simply put, his eyes are peeled and watching.

Now let’s head back to the ring for tag team action with…

The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana, with Joe Cazana) vs. Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox

(Author’s Note:  As we begin 2024 anew, I want to establish fights like this as something more unique.  Therefore, I wish to claim this, a “Happy Happy Hoss Fight™, folks.)

KC and Murdoch start and the former NWA champ says to hit him like a man.  The younger Cazana tries and then there is a slam by KC to Murdoch and AJ slams Knox afterward, and the Crockett Cup champs powder out of the ring to rethink strategy on the CountryGentlemen.  Soon, all four men brawl on the outside of the ring, and then Murdoch sends KC back in the ring with a Full Nelson slam.  He tags in Knox and he gives the kid a running crossbody.  He and Murdoch make an example of the younger Cazana, as he is a Gentleman in Peril.  He shoves Knox off and gets the hot tag to AJ and he is a Gentleman en Fuego.  He and KC give it their all, but the high/low is delivered and they are back on their winning ways.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox

After the match, Eric Smalls from Samhain gets in the ring and punches Murdoch in the nethers, and gives a moonsault.  Afterward, Knox crushes him since it was a small matter.

(Thenkyew, I’m here all week.  Try the nachos!)

Davis now has The Southern Six backstage on who they will face in Ft. Lauderdale for the Paranoia show. they say that it doesn’t matter who they face because when you’re hot, you’re hot.  But when you’re not…sorry Kyle Davis.

Now for the main event for the …

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: EC3(c) vs. Jax Dane

Galli alludes to the history of when Jax Dane won the Ten Pounds of Gold against Hiroyoshi Tenzan in 2015, and how much he wants Sweet Charlotte back around his waist.

The bell rings and they feel each other out.  Neither is in a rush, but want to find a crack in each other’s armor.  Dane places the champ up on the top turnbuckle and EC3 applauds the effort before he fights back.  Dane gives him a shoulder tackle and he easily overpowers the OverMan.  Dane gives a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a corner splash and EC3 rolls out.  Dane pursues and takes the fight to him.

Back in the ring, Dane stomps his ankles and hand, a la Ronnie Garvin.  EC3 counters with a side headlock and the challenger reverses with a backdrop suplex.  They go back and forth until Dane rushes in the corner but EC3 escapes, and Dane goes hard into the post.  He tries to ram EC3 into the turnbuckle, but it gets blocked and the champ clotheslines Dane to the outside and then there is a dive by EC3 to the floor.  Back in the ring, EC3 climbs the turnbuckle and gets a crossbody, but Dane pops the trunk and covers for one, two… kick-out by the champ.  Dane attempts the Trapped City submission, but Ec3 counters and delivers the One Percenter once, then twice, and the third time is the charm as he covers for the one, two, and three.

Your Winner via Pinfall, and Still NWA Heavyweight Champion:  EC3

After the match, they shake hands in a show of respect as the credits roll.

Final Thoughts:

EC3 and Dane was a great match, but I just wished it was longer.  Also, Kenzie and Kylie delivered for their respective matches, and Knox/Murdoch prove to be a force in the tag division.

For now, we’ll see ya in seven on The CW!
