Okay, so the government in Philadelphia has pronounced that July 5th is MicroMan Day. Naturally, the crowd is encouraged to sing his song to honor him, but out of nowhere, Davey Boy Smith Jr. interrupts and knocks the World’s Greatest Wonder with a Bulldog Powerslam.

Apparently, Smith Jr. and Mister Saint Laurent were in cahoots because Laurent seemed at ease with the assault Davey delivered, adding on that MicroMan is an insult to the wrestling sport. The Mane Event and Willie Mack catch MicroMan as he lands on them.

What the hell is going on??

Akira (c) vs. Lince Dorado – World Middleweight Championship match

After winning the World Middleweight Championship, it’s been told that that wasn’t a coincidence but rather by design that Akira is wearing that belt. Aligning himself with Raven has given him the edge he worked for.

The chanting of Akira’s name from the audience is creeping me out. The cult is growing, and I don’t think I want to be here when it completely takes over.

Akira leaves his Championship with Raven as he rushes to pounce on Dorado, who’s waiting inside the ring.

Lince manages to regain his ground with a Step-Up Enzugiri that rocks the champ sideways. He looks to backflip from the top, but Akira soils his efforts. Really making him pay with sheer brutality.

Commentary is getting a little weird when they say that Akira’s whole demeaner is alluring and…. sexy? I just got icky chills down my spine as I laughed my ass off.

Dorado may have been able to counter Akira’s first attempt at a back breaker, but when you really think about it, it was a setup for the second one he initiates perfectly just to make Lince believe he was out of it.

Lince climbs back in with two beautiful Moonsaults, unfortunately, when he went for the third one, Akira had his boot up as it collides with Lince’s face.

Tragedy strikes when Lince went for some sort of Stunner move only to miss and get his mask removed by Akira, which results in him hiding his face with his hands as he rolls around on the mat. I didn’t see that coming. Damn.

Dorado does muster some speed when he flips Akira on the temple of his head while covering his face still. It was amazing regardless of what’s going on. He almost puts his mask back on, but Akira delivers the Death Penalty to retain.

Winner: Akira

We’re back with part two of MLW Expose to discover who is bankrolling the Bomaye Fight Club. They already revealed three possible suspects last week being Shane Taylor, Dan Lambert and Huawei. Now, we have four more suspects to look into.

Conrad Thompson and Jim Cornette, both voices in the podcast world have connections with Kane.

This one shocked me. Queen Latifah, actress and Hip Hop royalty. She’s a wrestling fans, you learn new things everyday, she could be sitting on the Bomaye Fight Club throne with Kane.

And lastly, Dixie Carter, former TNA wrestling president has a desire to return to promote the brand and could be doing that with the Fight Club. Sadly, none of these people are confirmed bankrolling sources. However, Kane has allowed us access to his business partner who will speak at Never Say Never this Saturday with, hopefully, some answers rather than more questions.

Elsewhere, The Sec0nd Gear Crew devise a plan to defeat the Samoan SWAT Team during their World Tag Team Championship match later tonight. Will it work?

Last week’s attack on Delmi Exo has left her medical condition rather unclear. Taya Valkyrie has been fined 2500 dollars and was suspended for a week.

Kane and Hammerstone are meant to attend a press conference today, but Hammerstone hasn’t shown up. If he’s playing games but ready to fight, regardless, he could be fined if he doesn’t arrive soon.

Billie Starkz vs. Mandy Leon

As Mandy makes her entrance, she doesn’t choose a weapon from the well-crafted bloody table of options The Calling provides, no, she simply runs her fingers through them because she doesn’t need them to finish Starkz in a few minutes.

Leon throws her coat at Billie’s face then follows that up with a clothesline and a German suplex. Starkz tries to fight back with punches to Leon’s head as she returns fire with a Kamikazi.

Billie surprises Mandy with a suplex on the main floor. The gas mask men intervene by shoving Billie off the top, so Leon can deliver a winning DDT.

Winner: Mandy Leon

Hammerstone didn’t take too kindly to the fact that Kane called him “a placeholder”, even though, he’s put the most work in his career for being the longest World Heavyweight Champion with 16 successful title defenses.

Kane counters by saying that he’s “the truth”. I think he’s alluding to thinking he’s better than Hammerstone in every way.

Lance Anoa’i & Juicy Finau (c) vs. Mance Warner & 1 Called Manders – Hardcore World Tag Team Championship match

There really should be more title matches like this one where the wrestlers can fight with whatever they please. Hardcore matches, no disqualification matches, cell matches and whatnot are the best ones.

Both teams already have chairs in hand as they start throwing their respectable furniture at the opposition before entering into a brawl.

The SST are holding their ground as Lance delivers an uppercut to Manders while Juicy’s head rocks Mance backwards.

Manders manages to turn this around for himself as he hits Anoa’i with the steel chair as Warner stuns Finau with those short little jabs at the jaw.

Lance delivers a Super Kick to Manders and Juicy throws a chair at him. Warner comes in and whacks Finau with a chair as well.

Anoa’i sets a larger orange ladder inside the ring, Fianu places Manders on top of a table waiting for Lance to leap from the top of the ladder. Fortunately for Manders, Warner whams a chair against Juicy’s head then launches it at Lance’s shoulder before climbing the ladder.

A jab knocks Lance off the ladder and crash into the smaller green ladder behind him. Ouch! The damn thing almost broke…

Finau received at least 10 chair hits to the head during this match. What surprised me to the point of confusion was that Juicy was about to leap from the second rope to plough down Manders who’s laid out on the table, but Warner beats him with a another chair then attempts to choke hold him.

Suddenly, Juicy leaps and crashes into Manders for a cover that grants them the victory. It happened so fast that I was perplexed. Ha! Ha!

Alas, the fun isn’t over just yet. Following that win, Raven sends a tsunami of his followers to attack what’s left of the SST and the SGC. Both teams amazingly manage to fight back and send The Calling retreating which has never happened since their abrupt arrival.

I guess they can get scared…

Winners: Lance Anoa’i & Juicy Finau
