The team of El Desperado and Master Wato maintained their two point lead in the NJPW Super Jr. Tag League tournament with a win over Kushida and Kevin Knight in today’s action. Kushida and Knight obviously went in with a plan to work on Wato’s arm, grounding him to set him up for the Hoverboard Lock for the majority of the match. Knight bent the rules a bit by tearing Desperado off the apron so that Wato couldn’t tag out. Knight locked Wato in another arm bar submission and even took the time to pose for the crowd believing he and Kushida had the match well in hand.

Wato finally bulldogged Knight to the mat giving him enough time and space to tag Desperado. Desperado focused on Knight’s leg and knee. Knight only escaped the Numero Dos submission by reaching the ropes. Desperado and Wato cut Knight off from Kushida returning the favour to their foes. Desperado fought his way out of Knight’s arm lock and kicked out a Reverse Destroyer. Wato caught Knight as he leaped at Desperado giving him a suplex. Wato dove on Kushida to take him out on the floor as Desperado pinned Knight with Pinche Loco.

Togo goes for his garotte. Ishii stops him from doing any damage with haymaker to the jaw. Yano and Ishii dump Evil and Yujiro over the top rope at the same time. Ishii drops Togo with a lariat. Yano rolls him up for the pinfall.
