We are now at day four of NJPW Super Junior Tag League 2023 and today’s main event was Master Wato and El Desperado against TMDK’s Robbie Eagles and Kojei Fujita.

The match began with some back-and-forth chain wrestling, but Wato wasted no time locking Eagles into Vendeval. Eagles broke the hold when he got his toes on the ropes and Desperado then entered the match to stomp a hole in Eagles. Desperado hit a power slam and along with Wato, they were showcasing some great chemistry to damage TMDK.

Wato and Desperado were making quick tags, but Eagles reversed a side suplex from Desperado and hit a leg sweep followed by a sliding forearm. Eagles was now able to tag in Fujita who came in to hit Desperado with some stiff strikes followed by a springboard missile dropkick. He then went for a suplex, but Desperado blocked and hit a suplex of his own before tagging Wato back in.

Wato was now kicking the chest of Fujita, however, Fujita came right back with a dropkick to Wato’s face. Eagles got back in the match hitting Wato with a heel kick and a sliding kick to the chest. He attempted to stay on the attack, but Wato bounced off the ropes with a springboard European uppercut.

Wato then hit a jumping neck breaker, but Eagles got right back up and connected with a trio of kicks to Wato’s head. Eagles now hit back-to-back double-running knees to the chest of Wato in the corner. TMDK now hit the move of their stablemates, Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste, the Thunder Valley.

Eagles then hit Wato with sliced bread before transitioning to an Indian Deathlock, but Wato made it to the ropes. Both men were now trading kicks until Desperado and Fujita were tagged in. Now it was Fujita and Desperado trading strikes and Fujita caught Desperado with a dropkick, but Desperado came right back hitting a spinebuster. Desperado then locked in a Numero Dos, however, Fujita rolled out of it and hit a German suplex.

Fujita struggled to stay in control as Desperado locked him into the Numero Dos again and at the same time, Wato had Eagles in Vendeval. It was Eagles that managed to break out of Wato’s grasp and break up Desperado’s submission as well. Wato threw Eagles to the outside and Fujita was stuck in a two-on-one attack, Wato kicked Fujita in the chest, Desperado hit a side suplex and then Wato hit Recientemente II.

Desperado got Fujita back up and hit an Olympic Slam, but Eagles broke the count again. So, Wato threw Eagles out again and this time made sure to keep him out there. With Eagles out of the equation, Desperado hit Fujita with Pinche Loco and got the win, he and Wato now sit at six points in a tie for first place.
