Could the Tuesday night brand keep up the momentum from last night’s huge rating? Likely not, but hey you never know.

Bada-Bing-Bada-Boom Battle Royal

Chase U and Garza/Carillo were the last two teams standing after a very brief BR.

Longer match but the criticism levied against the NXT tag team division is fair. Chase U feels way too overdue for Hudson turning heel and bringing Jayne into the mix makes this comedy act even worse.

Of course, Chase U wins.

Winners: Chase U

Various hype segments follow, including a second Lexis King promo that again blows me away at how good it is. Where was this ability in AEW?

Carmelo Hayes is out in the ring next. He’s quickly interrupted by Baron Corbin and later joined by Dijak and Dragunov. The clusterfrick promo goes on and on, and eventually Trick Williams comes out to help his brother from another mother.

Fallon Henley and Tiff Straton have a tiff in front of some of the Breakout competitors next.

Karmen Petrovic vs. Jaida Parker

Another insanely short match. Karmen wins with a knee submission.

Winners: Karmen Petrovic

More talking, this time with Tegan and Nattie. Look, Tegan’s starting to have a good build but we all know Nattie is going to turn on her. It’s happened WAY too many times.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Tegan Nox

More non-sensical booking when you’re trying to boost both ladies. Ultimately WWE goes for the copout by bringing Chelsea Green and Piper Niven out to taunt, leading to… wait for it… the distraction finish.

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

Post-match, the main roster girls fight to the back, letting Lyra cut a promo on Becky Lynch about Halloween Havoc. Becky appears on the NXTron and retorts.

Backstage, Melo and Trick tease tension.

Elsewhere, Gigi Dolin is interviewed about Blair Davenport. Dolin needs to be on the main roster, not in a WCW retread gimmick situation.

Still elsewhere, Von Wagner is rehabilitating from his injury with Robert Stone presiding. This was terrible.

Shotzi vs. Kiana James

Decent match but it’s sad how quickly Shotzi fell off in the main roster. What happened to her build? Seriously.

The Eddie Guerrero fake-out comes into play and helps Shotzi to victory. Boring.

Winner: Shotzi

MORE interviews backstage. Noam Dar, Akira Tozawa, Kelly Kincaid, Trick, Dom Mysterio, Shotzi and Roxanne Perez, Ariana Grace… this is only reinforcing the WCW retread feeling.

Ariana Grace vs. Brinley Reece

Another shortie! God this ep of NXT is just terrible.

Winner: Ariana Grace

ANOTHER talk segment, this time Bron Breakker bitching about Undertaker. Robert Stone interjects himself.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dijak

Decent triple threat here. Big spot is a Tower of Doom spot with Hayes getting the better end of the deal. Corbin hits End of Days but before he can cover, Hayes hits Nothing but Net for the win and Championship shot… again…

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

This was really a subpar episode of NXT and did no favors coming off a red hot opportunity.

Until next time, Stay Classy.
