A Bullet Club civil war of highlighted the sixth night of the G1 Climax tournament. Bullet Club leader David Finlay took on House of Torture leader Evil. Evil didn’t come to the ring alone though. He had the rest of the House of Torture: Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi and Sho, with him. Finlay brought along Bullet Club War Dogs Gedo and Gabe Kidd. Both groups exchanged warnings and challenges in the middle of the ring. Red Shoes refused to officiate the match with so many people in and around the ring. More officials came down to the ring to keep a close eye on both groups.

Evil and Finlay challenged each other to shoulder tackles off the ropes with neither man budging an inch. They then traded forearms shots. Evil won that exchange…with a rake to the eyes and face throwing Finlay over the top rope and to the floor. House of Torture made a move against Finlay but the War Dogs and the officials interceded.

Evil whipped Finlay into an exposed turnbuckle and choked him out with a T-shirt. When he was done, Evil threw the shirt at the War Dogs outside the ring. As the Red Shoes dealt with the angry War Dogs, Evil choked Finlay some more. Evil worked over Finlay’s back with a single-leg crab. Finlay clotheslined Evil over the top rope. The momentum carried Finlay over too.

Right away, both groups surrounded both men. The officials had to step between them. Evil and Finlay brawled on the floor. Finlay took over choking, stomping on and suplexing Evil for a one count.

Evil blocked a Finlay kick with Red Shoes’ “lower abdomen” putting him out for the time being. Finlay shoves Evil into one of the other officials knocking him off the ring apron and into the security railing. The same thing happens to the third official so all of them are down and the shenanigans can begin.

Both groups charge the ring. There is a standoff. The two groups go at it. House of Torture has the numbers so they easily win the showdown. The in-fighting doesn’t have any affect on Evil or Finlay as they laid motionless on the mat the entire time.

Finlay stops himself from colliding with the exposed turnbuckle whipping Evil into it instead. Finlay drives Evil’s head into the steel. Evil evades a spear. Finlay hits the official instead taking him out. Evil punches Finlay in the “lower abdomen”. Togo enters the ring, punches Gedo in the face and chokes Finlay with his garotte. Togo and Evil drop Finlay with a Magic Killer. Evil has Finlay pinned. Gedo pulls the official out of the ring before they can make the count.

Evil puts a steel chair around Finlay throat. He then hits the chair with the swing of another steel chair. A smiling Evil picks up Finlay’s shillelagh twirling it in the air. Finlay hits Evil with his NEVER Openweight Championship belt instead. Finlay whacks Evil right in the head with the shillelagh pinning him with Oblivion.

“Evil, you pulled out all the stops but you still couldn’t beat the Rebel!” said Finlay afterwards.
