The Los Angeles Times is reporting that former pro-wrestler Joey Ryan (Joseph Meehan) was recently fired by Disneyland.
According to the story, Ryan worked on the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland in California for three months on a probationary contract. Disneyland passed on granting him a full-time position.
It is not clear whether the past accusations made about Ryan played a part in that decision but the park confirms they weren’t raised, did not appear in his criminal background check.
“Mr. Meehan is no longer employed by us,” a Disneyland spokesperson told The Times.
Ryan was fired from Impact Wrestling in 202o when he was accused of acting inappropriately with fans and sexually assaulting several women.
Ryan denied the allegations in a YouTube video. He then launched a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the women who accused him of sexual misconduct.
The Time article reports that “almost all of those lawsuits were either dismissed or not pursued by Meehan, according to court records”.
