Just like it says in Cody Rhodes’ entrance music, wrestling has more than one royal family, and the Rhodes family has two new members making their debut.

Dustin Rhodes announced on X Monday, March 18, that his nephews, Wyatt and Wayne Rhodes, will be debuting as The Texas Outlaws in the Rhodes Wrestling Academy (RWA) which is run by Dustin, and will be competing for the promotions tag team titles. Wyatt and Wayne are the sons of Dustin’s sister, Kristin, making them grandsons of Dusty Rhodes.

Wyatt and Wayne are the newest members of a family that has been around pro wrestling since the 1960s, when “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes started wrestling. After having a Hall of Fame career, his sons Dustin and Cody Rhodes continued the family’s legacy. Dustin was the first of the Rhodes boys to break onto the scene and saw success and popularity as the charismatic and ever-entertaining Goldust. Cody also began working with the WWE, then left to help start AEW, before returning and becoming the WWE’s biggest babyface, currently pursuing the one title that eluded his father his whole career, the WWE Championship currently held by a descendant of another (or to many THE) royal family in wrestling, Roman Reigns of the Anoa’i family. The Anoa’i family consists of many Hall of Fame Wrestlers, like Rikishi, Yokozuna, and the Wild Samoans, as well as other household names like Umaga and the Rock to name a few.

Mike Raimondi also took to X to speak about the newest Rhodes family members debuting.

In a period where Rhodes is feuding with many members of the Anoa’i family, including Roman, the Rock and the Usos, Wyatt and Wayne could be the Rhodes next step in cementing the legacy of the Rhodes family name as royalty in wrestling entertainment.
