Even Tony Khan doesn’t believe Andrade El Idolo will be returning to AEW after tonight’s Worlds End event.

Tony Khan confirmed the rumors that Andrade is probably leaving AEW at the Worlds End media scrum. Khan called Andrade “outstanding”.

“As it stands right now I don’t see him renewing his contract but he is someone who I have a lot of respect for and would be parting on good terms is Andrade El Idolo,” said Khan.

Khan stated that Andrade’s contract is up at the “end of the year” and they had “great talks” about his contract.

“He has been a huge performer in the Continental Classic week after week. I talked to him about the great run Collision has been on and he has been a huge part of it. He has wrestled on the other shows and in the Blue League of the Continental Classic he was outstanding. I wanted to keep him involved at the top and if we had been able to reach an agreement he would be somebody we would slot in a prominent position. I think we did everything we could to show Andrade that we value him and his last run has been tremendous. If this is the way he is going to leave AEW talk about leaving on a high note,” said Khan.

Andrade fought and lost to Miro at Worlds End.

Andrade joined AEW after leaving the WWE in 2021. He initially had Jose the assistant and Vickie Guerrero as his manager. He also had Chavo Guerrero for a brief time as his consultant.

During his time in AEW Andrade’s online argument with Sammy Guevara escalated into a backstage confrontation. Andrade was suspended for his part in the altercation.

Rumor has it that Andrade is on his way back to the WWE to be with his wife Charlotte Flair.
