Bro, it’s true. Matt Riddle is no longer a WWE superstar.

He tweeted out the news late on Friday, September 22nd, from @SuperKingofBros:

Just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE. Thank you for the memories and opportunities also thank you to all the fans for the support and love you give me every time I go out to the ring. See you all soon 🤙

A competitive mixed martial artist, Riddle transitioned to pro wrestling. After a brief apprenticeship on the indies, he got a great push in NXT.

On the main roster, he was a significant player in numerous storylines, including the very fun pairing with the exuberant Riddle alongside the dour Randy Orton.

Away from the ring, though, Riddle was a constant source of news, from issues with women to a recent, bizarre accusation of difficulties dealing with airport security.

He was recently off injured.

Riddle’s release follows a long list of WWE releases on Thursday, including bigger names such as Dolph Ziggler, Dana Brooke and Shelton Benjamin.
