It was Saturday night, and it was still all right for fighting on AEW Collision, no matter what pacifists say. The House of Black has remained dominant in trios action, but CM Punk and FTR step up to the plate to challenge for the titles.

Now due to circumstances beyond my control, this is goin g to be a very abbreviated recap, starting with…

AEW RAMPAGE

  • Darby Allin won over Brian Cage and then Luchasaurus beat him down.
  • Orange Cassidy retained the International championship over Johnny TV, and then Wheeler Yuta came down from commentary to challenge him next week for the title.
  • Saraya won over Skye Blue to earn a spot in the AEW Women’s Title match at All In versus Hikaru Shida.
  • Aussie Open overcame The Outrunners in their AEW debut and they are still your ROH Tag Team champions.  Afterwards Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis got on the mic and they said they’ll still remain the champs despite MJF and Adam Cole’s challenge.

There. All caught up so we can get to…

AEW COLLISION

We start with Tony Schiavone in the ring with Ricky Starks. Schiavone says he’s suspended after whipping Steamboat last week. But he got a managers license and Starks vows he will still be on since this is his show. He’ll start a war next week.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens with Billy Gunns boots) vs. Iron Savages

They beat the jobber du jour with the Arrival and the Mic Drop.  After the match Caster gets on the mic proclaims they will rise to the top of the tag division. Bowens asks Greensboro to throws the scissors to Billy Gunn because everyone loves The Acclaimed.

Next was…

Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander vs. Diamante and Mercedes Martinez

The big move of the night has Martinez take Diamante and give her a Razors Edge to Statlander and Nightingale outside the ring to clear them both out.  After all four women go for heavy firepower, Nightingale rolls up Martínez but she reverses and Diamanté presses her back for let age for the pin and the win.

Your Winners via Pinfall: Diamante and Mercedes Martinez

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come out, and Cage feels disrespected by Darby Allin.  He vows that he will never get the belt. Arn Anderson comes out with his son Brock, and he challenges Luchasaurus, but the big dino beats him silly. Allin comes out with his skateboard and gives an ollie to Lucha’s back. He then challenges Luchasaurus to a match next week on Collision.

Samoa Joe defeated the other jobber du jour in Andrew Edwards. Then the King of Television gets the mic and calls out CM Punk. Says he hasn’t heard a responded and he will force a response from him.

Powerhouse Hobbs comes out and wants to move to the next chapter of his book which involves redemption, and he calls out The Redeemer, Miro. He comes out but gets jumped by QTV on his way to the squared circle.  Guess we have a feud.

Now it’s time for the Main Event, and it’s for the…

AEW Trios Championship: The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews, with Julia Hart)(c) vs. CMFTR (CM Punk, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler)

This was a big match feel, and everyone gave the the Greensboro fans their money’s worth.  At one point, FTR nail a double avalanche superplex to the big man King as Punk hits the big elbow, but they can’t put him away.CMFTR give the Mega Shatter Machine to King, but Matthews breaks the cover with a Meteora. Harwood gives him the brain buster, only to be nailed by a knee to from Black and Punk returns fire with a roundhouse kick, and then dives outside.  Samoa Joe makes good on his earlier threat as he runs in and locks in the Coquina Clutch.  Meanwhile, Harwood takes the fight to King, but Hart distracts on the apron, and King delivers the lariat to Harwood for the one, two, and three.
