NXT Champion Samoa Joe called him an undeserving contender, but Shinsuke Nakamura has brought out a side of Joe we haven’t seen in NXT. Tonight at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, Joe and Nakamura headline the return to Brooklyn with the NXT Championship on the line. No Way Jose vs. Austin Aries
Aries with the takedown and scramble. Aries ducks between the ropes when Jose tries to create offense. Aries offers a handshake and Jose accepts before slapping Aries. Jose with a takedown and he looks for a right hand. Aries moves outside and Jose chases him back in. Jose lands the wind-up punch inside and Aries rolls out. Jose with a double sledge and he runs Aries into the apron. Aries comes back to snap the neck on the top rope and he works Jose down. Flying elbow to the back gets Aries a nearfall and he works a chinlock. Jose works the comeback and sends Aries to the apron. Jose runs Aries into the top turnbuckles and tosses him back in. Aries with a kneebreaker and a back suplex throw into the Last Chancery. Jose gets the rope break. Rolling elbow attempt from Aries blocked for a TKO from Jose for a nearfall. Aries tosses Jose out when he attempts to finish and a suicide dive connects outside. Jose worked on the rope again and Aries with a corner dropkick. Falcon Arrow from Jose counter gets a nearfall. Rolling elbow from Aries blocked by Jose with a lariat. Full-nelson slam blocked and Aries with a crucifix bomb. Corner dropkick lands for a nearfall and Aries stopped up top by an uppercut. Sunset flip bomb by Aries drops Jose into the Last Chancery.

Billie Kay vs. Ember Moon
Submission grappling to feel each other out and Moon with a handstand hurricanrana. Billie blocks a crucifix and works Moon down. Forearm gets a nearfall and Moon comes back with a springboard crossbody for a nearfall. Eat Defeat from Billie gets a nearfall and she locks in a Widow’s Peak. Moon dropped into a facebuster that gets Billie a series of nearfalls. Moon with a back elbow to start the comeback. Spinning back kick and a neckbreaker and underhook suplex combo from Moon. Cartwheel clothesline in the corner and Moon connects on a corkscrew stunner off the top.

Bobby Roode vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas
Roode with a side headlock and snapmare. Roode stops himself on an Almas dropkick and he continues to play to the crowd. Almas catches himself on the ropes as Roode tries to throw him out and Almas with a dropkick. Headscissors sends Roode out and Almas with a shoulder tackle from the apron. Roode runs into the ropes to crotch Almas up top and he works on keeping Almas grounded. Knee in the corner followed by a delayed vertical suplex by Roode for a nearfall. Back suplex flipped out of by Almas and he lands a springboard dropkick to knock Roode off the top. Springboard corkscrew plancha lands outside by Almas and a corkscrew crossbody back inside gets a nearfall on Roode. Almas charges Roode and Roode comes out of the corner with a clothesline that turns Almas inside out for a nearfall. Almas lands on his feet on a German superplex and a straitjacket suplex gets Almas a nearfall. Springboard into a standing moonsault lands on the knees of Roode. Fisherman’s suplex blocked for a small package by Almas. Roode dropped by a kick in the corner and double knees land. Hammerlock DDT blocked and Roode with back elbows. Big boot from Almas and Roode with a spinebuster. Glorious Bomb connects.

Ciampa and Dawson start and Dawson runs him into the corner. Dawson chooses the left arm of Ciampa to work on, but Ciampa returns the favor as they grapple to a stalemate. Dawson ducks outside to avoid a chop from Ciampa. Dawson returns to the ring for a side headlock. Dash comes inside as Ciampa starts a comeback and gets knocked down. Dawson pinballed between Gargano and Ciampa and Gargano with a nearfall. Gargano focuses on the left arm and Dash with a tag. Gargano with a drop toehold and an armbreaker on the left arm. Dropkick nearfall and Gargano continues to out-Revival The Revival. Dawson gets control with a back elbow and Gargano now stuck on the Revival side of the ring. Gargano slides out and leads The Revival into a chase back inside. Ciampa and Gargano send them out Suicide dive from Gargano and a knee off the apron by Ciampa. Ciampa tossed onto the top rope back inside and Dawson with a back suplex for a nearfall. Ciampa worked down by Dawson. Ciampa elbows his way out of the corner and gets a sunset flip for a nearfall. Ciampa kicks The Revival away, but they are able to pull Gargano off the apron and get Ciampa back on their half for a front suplex that gets Dash a nearfall. Ciampa continues to get dropped in the middle of comebacks and Dawson with bodyscissors and a chinlock. Dash flips himself inside as Ciampa gets close to the tag and fakes an injury. Ciampa gets the tag and the referee didn’t see it, stopping Gargano in his tracks. Dawson misses a splash in the corner and Dash misses a knee on the ropes. Gargano in like a house of fire on the hot tag. Neckbreaker gets a nearfall on Dawson. Apron spear almost puts Dawson down. Wilder sneaks a tag and Dawson fakes a punch to land a DDT. Wilder with the nearfall. Gargano rolls Dawson up for a nearfall. Ciampa in and Dawson tries the fake punch again, but Ciampa pulls him down and locks in the armbar. Wilder struggles to kick away and gets away from Gargano to break the hold. Gargano with a spear that takes him and Wilder out. Small package gets Ciampa a nearfall and all four down now. Forearm exchange sees Ciampa land a knee. Dawson superkicked and a jackknife cover nearly wins the titles. Wilder hit with the kick combo and the referee counts to three, but Dawson put Wilder’s leg on the bottom rope. Ciampa pulled out and tossed into the post. Wilder chop blocks the left leg and Dawson comes off the top with a stomp. Inverted figure four in for Wilder and Gargano with no place to go.

Bayley pushes Asuka off a side headlock immediately. Bayley avoids the submissions and they lock in a test of strength. Bayley rolls Asuka up for nearfalls and lands a corner splash. Crossbody out of the corner sees Asuka land a knee to drop Bayley. Asuka with a hip attack back inside and abdominal stretch in between the ropes. Bayley bounces the head of Asuka on the top turnbuckle, but Asuka throws Bayley into the second turnbuckle. Kicks on the apron punctuated by a Drive By kick that gets Asuka a nearfall. Asuka and Bayley take turns bouncing each other in the corners and a suplex lands for Bayley. Knee drop after an elbow to the back and a clothesline from Bayley gets a nearfall. Back elbow in the corner lands and Bayley gets sent to the apron, but she snaps a stunner on the second rope. Springboard crossbody out of the corner gets Bayley a nearfall. Asuka drops Bayley for a shining wizard to get a nearfall in return. Bayley put up top, but she fights out and hangs Asuka in the tree of woe. Springboard elbow drop gets a nearfall for the challenger. Asuka with forearms and Bayley with a knee to the midsection. Hip attack from Asuka and Bayley with a running knee. Asuka with a stretch muffler and a pinning predicament sees Asuka grab on to an ankle lock. Asuka with roundhouse kicks to the chest and Bayley catches it. Bayley tells Asuka to hit her and she lands a backslide for a nearfall. Asuka comes back with a spinning back hand. Bayley with a facebuster for a nearfall and Asuka ties Bayley up off the kick-out. Asuka Lock applied and Bayley turns her way out. Bayley-to-Belly lands, but Asuka able to kick out. Bayley charges Asuka and she lands a flying armbar into the Asuka Lock. Bayley falls back and stacks her for a nearfall. Head kick drops Bayley and she pops back up. Slap to the face from Bayley and Asuka lands a spinning hook kick. Buzzsaw kick by Asuka.

Joe and Nakamura exchange strikes and Nakamura with a takedown. Joe reverses and looks for ground and pound, but they break. Positions and submissions exchanged once again and Nakamura with the nearfall. Knees from Nakamura work Joe into the corner and he drops. Good Vibrations in the corner from Nakamura forces Joe to move outside. Joe trips Nakamura and pulls him out. Chops and punches from Joe, but Nakamura bounces Joe’s head off the apron. Nakamura ran into the post and Joe rolls him back in with a second left on the count. Nakamura goes for knees back inside, but Joe with the senton in the corner and the corner enzuigiri. Nakamura comes back with a running knee as Joe is guillotined on the apron. Knee drop misses on the floor and Joe with a suicide dive. Nearfall for Joe back inside and a back elbow followed by an elbow drop for a nearfall. Roundhouse kicks to the chest by Joe and he works on the right shoulder. Joe with the surfboard. Nakamura with a knee, but Joe sweeps the leg and lands a powerbomb. Nearfall and Joe strings submissions together with a Boston Crab and a STF. Crossface follows. Nakamura lands an enzuigiri as he gets back to his feet. Nakamura with a spinning heel kick that puts both down. Kicks and knees from Nakamura. Joe laid on the top rope and a knee lands. Joe comes back with the inverted atomic drop and big boot, but the senton misses. Facelock by Nakamura and knees to the top of the head. Nakamura charges Joe in the corner and runs into the STJoe. Muscle Buster set up, but Nakamura kicks him away. Missile dropkick from Nakamura puts both down. Forearm exchange and body shots exchanged. Joe swings his left arm and clubs him with a lariat. Joe looks for another clothesline, but Nakamura with the flying armbar. Joe turns out and goes right into the triangle choke. Joe lifts the legs and pulls him through for a Cloverleaf. Nakamura able to get the ropes. Coquina Clutch applied, but Nakamura runs him into the corner. Submission broken, but Nakamura runs right into a knee. Nearfall for Joe and he takes the neck again in the Coquina Clutch. Nakamura able to position himself and get his foot on the bottom rope. Nakamura fights off the top and catches Joe with a German suplex. Kinshasa blocked by a powerslam from Joe for a nearfall. Muscle Buster attempt again fought off by Nakamura, but Joe with an enzuigiri. Muscle Buster connects and Nakamura able to kick out. Another Muscle Buster set up, but Nakamura falls out. Joe down and Kinshasa lands. Joe kicks out. Knee to the back off the top lands for Nakamura. Joe out of it and Nakamura sizes him up. Kinshasa lands.
