AEW’s Cash Wheeler will not be going to trial.

Prosecutors in Orange County, Florida, have decided to drop the case against him and clear him of any wrongdoing.

The prosecutors did not give a reason as to why they have decided not to pursue the case against Wheeler.

Wheeler had been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm over a traffic incident in July of last year. Daniel Matta had accused Wheeler of weaving in and out of traffic honking his horn to get Matta to move out of the way on Interstate 4. He stated that Wheeler pointed a gun at him after he drove by and passed him. Matta picked Wheeler out of line-up as the person who threatened him.

Wheeler had pleaded not guilty.

The trial was to begin next week.
