AEW’s Cash Wheeler has been charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm in Orlando.
One half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions was arrested Friday morning in Florida.
Wheeler has plead not guilty to the charge and will be arraigned today.
Wheeler could face five years in prison if convicted.
AEW has issued the following statement:
“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”
Wheeler and his FTR partner Dax Hardwood are supposed to be defending the titles against The Young Bucks at the All In at Wembley Stadium.
