Big signings aren’t equaling big TV ratings for AEW.

In the last few months AEW has signed NJPW mainstays and lynchpins Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay as well as six-time WWE women’s champion Mercedes Mone at great expense.

So far, those signings are not increasing AEW’s stagnant ratings which are now dropping below the usual 800,000.

This week AEW Dynamite averaged only 747,000 viewers and 0.23 in the key demos. Last week, Dynamite scored 891,000 viewers. That equals a loss of 144,000 viewers in one week’s time.

The key demos were also down from 0.33 to 0.23.

In comparison this week, WWE’s NXT pulled in 601,000 viewers overall with a 0.17 in the key demos down from 0.19 the previous week and Raw brought in 1,729,000 viewers, an increase of 2% per cent from last week. Raw’s key demos were 0.57 compared to 0.55 the previous week.
