Shingo Takagi and Evil have made it to the third round of the New Japan Cup.

On night seven, Hikuleo did get some revenge on Evil for the post-match attack on his knee but Evil drew first blood as he gave Hikuleo a shot block from behind before the match could start. Hikuleo would follow Evil to the floor where he would whip him into the barricade and the announce table.

Walker Stewart: “He broke my phone!”.

Hikuleo missed a running kick. Dick Togo blasted his knee with a steel chair from behind. Togo and Evil would lift Hikuleo and smash his knee into the concrete floor. Evil keeps the pressure up on the knee. The official eventually steps in to check on Hikuleo to see if he can even continue. Evil throws him out of the ring. He distracts the official so that Togo can attack Hikuleo’s knee with a steel chair again.

Hikuleo ends up limping and fighting his best with one leg. Evil takes down the official. He delivers yet another shot block to Hikuleo’s knee. The entire House of Torture come running down to the ring. They bash and smash Hikuleo’s knee.

The official recovers, however, Hikuleo kicks out of Evil’s pin. As Evil distracts the official Kanemaru drop kicks Hikuleo’s knee. Evil puts Hikuleo into a single leg crab. He reaches the ropes to break the hold. Hikuleo rolls to the floor fighting off all of the House of Torture at ringside. One wonders where are all of Hikuleo’s allies in all of this? Hikuleo hits the TKO on Evil for the pin but the bell sounds. The timekeeper points at Dick Togo who hide the bell hammer behind his back. House of Torture lay a beating on Hikuleo again with Jack Perry beating him with a steel chair. Ren Narita shoves Hikuleo into the official. He takes Hikuleo down the Guillotine.

FINALLY, El Phantasmo and Tanga Loa hit the ring to rescue Hikuleo. ELP helps Hikuleo up. Hikuleo assists him with a splash on all of the House of Torture on the floor. GOD and House of Torture battle to the back leaving Evil and Hikuleo to finish the match alone. Evil escapes a chokeslam. He shot blocks Hikuleo’s knee for the hundredth time. Evil pins him with Everything is Evil.

Shingo Takagi made short work of Gabe Kidd with Last of the Dragon.
