The National Wrestling Alliance is not only gritty, but it can be very pretty, too. Especially since Pretty Empowered rules the women’s tag team division. Ella Envy and Kylie Paige have managed to take on all comers, but the latest challenge from the King Bees may test their mettle while trying to retain the title belts. Meanwhile, The Cazanas want their pound of flesh from Austin Idol, as Anthony Andrews has been recruited to Idolmania.

Galli presents a nice montage of both teams involved.

We come to you for the last time from Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call as we start the show with this First Match of the Night between…

Blake “Bulletproof” Troop (with Chris Silvio, Esq.) vs. Joe Alonzo

This is speed versus MMA mayhem, as the bigger Troop toys with Alonzo.  He even sticks out his jaw so he can slap him, and Alonzo uses the opportunity to gouge his eyes and chop blocks his knee.  From there, Alonzo has a target and keeps focusing on that bad limb to keep Troop off balance.  He is fighting dirty and goes up the top turnbuckle for a crossbody, but  Troop catches him and nails a side slam.  He goes into the ground and pound offense, but Alonzo escapes and manages to climb the top turnbuckle and hits a crossbody to cover but gets a two count, and then follows with a springboard punch to Troop’s head.  Alonzo attempts a sunset flip but Troop pulls him right up and gets rocked by a superkick.  He’s dazed but Troop is still on his feet, and as Alonzo presses the attack, he eats a roundhouse kick, and Bulletproof locks in a bulldog choke as the ref sees Alonzo is napping, so that means…

Your Winner via Referee Stoppage:  Blake “Bulletproof” Troop

To quote Troop, Alonzo went “Lights Out.”

May Valentine is backstage with Austin Idol, Zyon, and Anthony Andrews.  Idol says that they sell out arenas and turn out the lights like he did with Joe Cazana at Samhain.   As for Andrews, he admits he joined up with Idol’s team to share his side of the information he learned partnering up with AJ Cazana and will expose those secrets when it’s time, so let’s ride.

We’ll see that match later in the show, but it’s time for…

Magic Jake Dumas vs. Alex Misery

There’s no CJ or his tag partner Cody James escorting with The Magic Bastard.  but it makes no difference as Dumas attacks right away on Misery.  He rams his head on the top turnbuckles and gives him snake eyes followed by a boot to the face.  Misery is no slouch as he manages to evade his latest offense and nails a huracanrana on Dumas.  The Magic Bastarb goes back after him, but Misery knocks him down with a step-up enzugiri followed by a springboard missile dropkick to cover for a two count.  At one point there’s a blown spot by both men as they collide into each other from the ropes but Misery manages to transition into a triangle choke hold.  Dumas powers through and slams him to the mat, and chokes him with both hands before the ref can get involved.

A suplex by Dumas gets a two count, as he argues with the ref on the slow counting.  He then stomps on Misery’s head and whips him into the corner and a gets cocky pin for another two count.  They battle up the top turnbuckle, and Misery pushes off Dumas to the floor. He then walks on the tables in front of the Revolution crowd, and then lands a somersault senton, as the fans chant, “This is Awesome!*clap clap!*clap clap clap!*.” Misery sends him back into the ring to cover, but Dumas gets a foot on the rope to break the ref count. Misery pulls him away and still gets another count of two.  Dumas still has one more trick up his sleeve as he plants Misery with a tombstone piledriver and then he delivers a picture-perfect Moonsault.  So, Ta-Da!

The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana, with Joe Cazana) vs. Anthony Andrews and Zyon (with Austin Idol)

This is a great match that has sizzle, with the old “former friends turned bitter rivals” tag, and the Cazanas are ready to rumble with Idol’s proteges.  KC flies at Andrews, as he and AJ take the fight to the members of IdolMania on the floor, as it quickly devolves into a Pier Four brawl.  AJ almost Andrews but he backs away from his former tag partner, and as he rolls the masked man back in the ring he gives a series of elbow drops to Zyon.  Once again, he makes a beeline to Andrews but Zyon makes the save and then they pummel away at AJ as they keep him isolated in their corner.  AJ is a Gentleman in Peril but a mistimed move by Zyon allows him to make a break and get the hot tag to KC and he is a Gentleman running on White Lightning on the members of IdolMania.  He mounts Zyon with punches in the corner, followed by a powerslam on Andrews.  Idol clocks Joe again on the outside, and KC is distraught that this happened again to his dad.  That leads to Andrews taking advantage of the opportunity as he gets a schoolboy with a handful of tights for the pin and the cheap win.

NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy and Kylie Paige) vs. The King Bees (Charity King and Danni Bee)

There is serious heat for the tag champs as everyone in the Revolution arena boos them full-heartedly.  The King Bees are getting their proper due, as Galli tells us the Texas women have received the blessing of none other than the Female Fighting Phenom and former NWA Women’s champion, Jazz.

King and Envy start and they lock up.  Envy pushes her to the corner and gives her a shove. King reciprocates and nails a slam and a cover by for a two count.  She tags in Bee and she and King hit a double-team combo with a trip up and a shotgun knee to Envy for another count of two.  Then Envy slaps her and Paige is tagged in.  Bee goes for a waistlock on Paige, but she manages a standing switch and sends her to the ropes as Envy stuns her on the top rope.  Now things are looking Envy and Paige’s way as they isolate her in the corner away from King, and Bee is in Peril from Pretty Empowered.  Then Paige shoots her to the ropes, and Bee gets a desperation discus clothesline to lay her out.  Both women are down on the mat, and Bee crawls to her side, gets the hot tag to King, and is En Fuego cleaning house with a spinebuster and a Samoan drop for a pin, but Paige breaks the cover.  Bee is dumped out of the ring and Envy nails King with a Shining Wizard to cover but Bee comes in at the last second to help stop the count.  It’s pandemonium until Envy knocks Paige off the ring apron by accident and King comes from behind and delivers a front slam to get the pin in one, two, and three.

Your Winners, And New NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champions:  The King Bees

Bee and King are both in a state of shock as the ref holds their hands up in victory as the show goes to the credits.

Final Thoughts:

I had reservations about the women’s tag match in the main event, but The King Bees were the perfect opponents to face Pretty Empowered.  Add to that the title win, and now Envy and Paige will be ramping up to get their title back.  I wish more time was given to the Country Gentlemen/Andrews/Zyon match, but if that’s a dose of the fun to come, I’m down for it.

Until then, see ya next Tuesday from The CW.
