Liv Morgan and her attorney can breathe a sigh of relief of sorts.

The most serious charge against her has been dropped by law enforcement officials in Florida.

Morgan (Gionna Daddio) is no longer being charged with “possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid”.

Morgan still faces a possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) charge but that has been moved to a misdemeanor court.

That charge can be punishable of up to one year in jail or probation and a $1,000 fine. Because Morgan was driving at the time of her arrest she could also face the suspension of her license.

The recreational use of marijuana is still illegal in the state of Florida and approximately half of the United States. Medical use was made legal in Florida in 2016 but patients must pay $75 a year to be enrolled in the program and carry around a card proving they are part of the program.

America’s neighbors Canada and Mexico have both legalized the recreational and medical use of cannabis.
