Greetings and Salutations! Tonight is the last week of the Gold League Matches as we have the Semi-Finals next week. Jon Moxley will face Jay White in a  super important match for rankings in the Continental Classic. critical matchup on tonight’s show. We also have Swerve Strickland taking on RUSH that can have implications for next week’s semi-finals. And in a match for pride we have Mark Briscoe facing Jay Lethal. Along with that we will have a AEW Women’s Number 1 Contenders Match between Riho and Saraya. With all this in store, let’s get straight to the action!


AEW Continental Classic Gold League: Swerve Strickland VS RUSH


Strickland and RUSH get the match started evenly matched until RUSH tosses Strickland outside. RUSH with a dive onto Strickland at ringside. Back in the ring, RUSH continued with the momentum as he sends Strickland to the corner and delivers a few kicks. Strickland is poised to come back and gets some offense it, but it didn’t last long as RUSH slams him hard onto the mat. Strickland with a kick, but RUSH catches it and slams him hard on the apron. RUSH sends Strickland to the barricade as they battled outside of the ring. As the two men battle on the outside, Strickland hits a German Suplex on the hard floor. RUSH comes right back with a Dropkick that sends Strickland to the barricade, but Strickland comes back and begins to target RUSH’s leg by first slamming it on the steel steps.

Strickland is finally in control, but RUSH is right back in it. Both men give each other German suplexes and rolling elbows. Both men had the same idea as they hit a Double Kick that sends them both right down. RUSH Suplexes Swerve right into the turnbuckles. Swerve is back in it though and he trips RUSH and locks in a single-leg crab. RUSH escapes and is able to hit a Piledriver for a 2-count. RUSH and Strickland end up on the apron and RUSH with a Suplex right onto the floor. RUSH goes for a Senton and Swerve moves out of the way and ends up hitting a 450 Splash. Strickland keeps the attack on and hits a Flatliner followed by a Brainbuster for a 2-count. Strickland hits the House Call and the Swerve Stomp for the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Chris Jericho is set to talk about Kenny Omega and addresses the future plans of the Golden Jets. Jericho says it’s unclear how long Omega will be out of action. He then says that plans aren’t confirmed for their tag title shot at Worlds End but Jericho stresses that the most important thing is Omega’s health. He says they are all pulling for Omega, and the Golden Jets will be back when Omega is back.


AEW Continental Classic Gold League: Mark Briscoe VS Jay Lethal


Briscoe gets things started early as he chops Lethal, but Lethal didn’t hold back as he chops Briscoe right back. Lethal with a Dropkick on Briscoe, but Briscoe comes right back and hits a Missile Dropkick. Lethal sends Briscoe to the outside. Lethal with a dive, but Briscoe catches him and Suplexes him on the floor. Briscoe on the apron hits a Diving Elbow on Lethal.

Back in the ring, Briscoe with some chops on Lethal. Briscoe hits back with a Brainbuster. The two are back up and they trade hits until Briscoe is dropped by Lethal with a Lethal Combination. Lethal climbs to the top ropes but Briscoe hits a Dropkick sending him through the ropes. Briscoe with a dive onto Lethal at ringside. Lethal with some offense that includes punches and he slams Briscoe. Lethal with a Flying Elbow for a 2-count. The two men battle it out and Lethal goes for a second Lethal Injection, but Briscoe catches him and slams him. Briscoe with a Fisherman Buster for a 2-count, followed by a Death Valley Driver. Briscoe is looking to end things with a Froggy Bow, but Lethal with a block and does a Spike DDT for a 2-count. Briscoe with a Jay Driller for the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

After the match, both men shake hands.


A video package highlights MJF getting into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Wardlow in a video package says the payment for his sins cannot be delayed any longer, and he will bring The Devil to his knees….


Samoa Joe Talks…


Samoa Joe comes out and says he wants answers. Joe says that Roderick Strong made some good point last week. Joe questions how MJF was laid out a few weeks ago and calls MJF out. MJF comes to the ring and reminded that Joe said he would protect him prior to their match at Worlds End. MJF then says that The Devils henchmen didn’t actually attack Joe. MJF says he doesn’t trust Joe and then gets in Joe’s face as he says they don’t need to wait until Worlds End.

Some masked men charge the ring, but MJF and Joe fight them off. The lights go out, and The Devil appears on the screen. We get a message from the Devil. The message is a challenge to MJF for him to defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship. MJF and Samoa Joe accept.


Backstage, Renee Paquette is with Best Friends, Kris Statlander, and Rocky Romero. They announce Chuck Taylor is injured. In the end, Orance Cassidy agrees to face Romero on AEW Rampage.


AEW Women’s World Championship Contenders Match: Saraya VS Riho


Ruby Soho is shown watching backstage. Riho gets things started early and sends Saraya to ringside. Riho with a  Hurricanrana at ringside. Saraya hides behind a security guard and hits Riho with a cheap shot. Saraya sends Riho to the barricade twice. Back in the ring, Saraya controls the match but Riho fights back and hits a Tiger Feint Kick. Riho with the momentum until Saraya catches her with a kick in mid-air. Saraya missed a wild shot and Riho comes back with a Northern Lights Suplex for a 2-count. Riho with a top rope double stomp, followed by a Charging Double Knee for the win. Soho was seen smiling backstage.

Winner: Riho

After the match, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm comes to the ring being carried my Luther. Her and Riho fight and Riho gets the upperhand with a Tiger Feint Kick. Mariah May blindsides Riho with Storm’s Title.


Tony Schiavone reads a statement from TNT Champion Christian Cage. Cage says that he has taken Nick Wayne on a vacation. Casge then says that he will address Adam Copeland’s challenge on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision.

Backstage, MJF argues with Samoa Joe. MJF finds a mask from a goon outside of Mogul Embassy’s locker room. Prince Nana comes out, and MJF grabs him and yells at him. Swerve Strickland is out and gets in MJF’s face. Strickland says that MJF has been dodging him. MJF makes fun of Swerve’s theme song. MJF says he is proud of Swerve, but he hasn’t been avoiding him. MJF tells Swerve he’s not on his level and Swerve calls MJF a whiny bitch. Swerve tells MJF to be careful and MJF says Swerve should watch his mouth. MJF threatens to blow Swerve’s house down. Mogul Embassy is there but Samoa Joe shows up as backup for MJF…


Roderick Strong (with Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) VS Komander (with Alex Abrahantes)


Strong chops Komander, but Komander with an Arm Drag sending Strong down andfollows that upwith a Dropkick. Strong hits a Backbreaker to Komander. Komander sends Strong over the ropes and down to the floor. Back in the ring, Strong grounds Komander to keep him subdued, but Komander comes back and hits a Springboard Dive, then follows that up with a Phoenix Splash for a 2-count. Komander dives onto Strong, Taven, and Bennett at ringside. This opening allows strong to hit a End of Heartache for the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong

After the match, Roderick Strong says it’s obvious that MJF is The Devil and tells Samoa Joe to wake up. Strong says Joe is his best friend by proxy.


AEW Continental Classic Gold League Match: Jon Moxley VS Jay White


Jim Ross is BACK and calls this match. White plays games with Moxley as he tries to avoid him but Moxley hits some elbows on Moxley. They battle at ringside and Moxley with a Piledriver on White. White sends Moxley to the stairs. The two end up fighting up the ramp after briefly going back and forth. Moxley dumps White with a Back Body Drop on the ramp.

Back in the ring, White once again tries to avoid Moxley and eventually sends Moxley to the outside. White targets the leg of Mox. Mox comes back though after some offense from White and eventually hits a Superplex from the top rope. White ends up at ringside again and Mox with a Dive. Mox then sends White to the steel steps and grabs a chair bu the ref puts an end to that thought. White throws the chair into the ring. As the ref gets the chair, White hits Mox with another chair. Mox comes back and hits a Paradigm Shift for a 2-count.

White with a Dragon Screw on Moxley’s injured leg. Moxley isn’t down and out and comes back with a Knee to White’s face. White with a Sleeper Suplex on Moxley. White with a Kiwi Crusher for a 2-count, but Moxley comes back with a Super Lariat. White comes back and goes for the Blade Runner, but Moxley evades it and stomps White, but White hits the Blade Runner for the win.

Winner: Jay White

Swerve Strickland comes out and stares down White. White attacks Moxley’s injured leg and walks away.
