I host the NXT review show every week on the Patreon feed. Have a listen! So without further ado, let’s get to it.

The show started with entrances for the NXT Championship match. Alicia Taylor did the formal intros for the competitors.

Bron Breakker vs. Von Wagner (w/Robert Stone) for the NXT Championship

Early off in the match Mr.Stone distracted Breakker and this opened up the door for Wagner to deliver a big boot to Breakker. Wagner then used his raw strength against Breakker Wagner would rag doll and toss Breakker throughout the ring to get the advantage. Breakker would then come back and make a comeback as he hit Wagner with a shoulder tackle and backdrop. Breakker then hit his Frankensteiner on Wagner. After escaping a submission attempt from Breakker, Wagner Body Slammed Breakker and then hit an elbow drop for a two-count.

Breakker recovered from this punishment as he hit Wagner with a Delayed Vertical Suplex. Now with Wagner back up, Breakker ran the roped and delivered a Lariat to Wagner as we went to commercial. With Wagner down Breakker locked in a grounded headlock but Wagner was able to escape this predicament with a back suplex. Both men were on the outside and Eagner threw Breakker to the stairs. With Wagner back in control of the match, he Chokeslammed Breakker on the steep steps. Wagner sent Breakker back into the ring and went for a pin but this was only good for a two-count.

Wagner then Body Slammed Breakker again and tossed him to the ring post like he was a a small child. Wagner then followed this up with a Fallaway Back Suplex but this was only good for a two-count. Things were looking bleak for Breakker as he attempted a comeback by tossing Wagner off the top rope and delivering a flying Lariat. Breakker then hit Wagner with another Shoulder Tackle and directly followed that up with a Spinebuster. With Wagner on dream street, Brekker climbed to the middle rope and hit a Steinerizer Bulldog on Wagner. Breakker was now looking to put things away as he set up for a Spear but upon execution, Wagner blocked it and hit a Jackhammer Suplex for a very close two-count.

Wagner was now visibly frustrated as he doesn’t know what else he needed to do to put Breakker away for good. This opening gave Breakker the time to get back into things. Mr.Stone climbed up to the apron but Breakker knocked him off and went for a Military Press Slam but Wagner turned this around into a Suplex which Breakker escaped and hit Wagner with a Spear for the pin and the win!

Winner: AND STILL NXT Champion, Bron Breakker

After the match, Bron stands tall as the music hits. Bron is given the NXT Title belt, and he raises it in the air. We go to replays. Von recovers as Bron raises the title and celebrates from the entrance-wa

An Alba Fyre promo aired where she hyped up her upcoming match against Mandy Rose. She says everything close to Rose will burn down and tonight the toxic empire will come to an end. Fyre declares she will be the last woman standing and the new NXT Women’s Champion.

Zoey Stark was shown walking in the most dangerous place in all of wrestling, the NXT parking lot with a smug and cocky look and demeaner as she walked on…

Bron Breakker passed through the curtain and looked exhausted. He went to squat down to catch his breath and take in the win when JD McDonagh appears, staring down at Bron. Bron stands up and JD congratulates him and says “you know you’re never going to be done with me, right?”

Zoey Stark Explains Herself

Zoey Stark looks smug and confident in the ring. She takes a mic and says that her back s feeling a lot better now that she doesn’t have to carry Nikkita Lyons on her back. She said she came back from injury in July like a bat out of hell. She then explained that she was summoned to a meeting with officials where she was informed they wanted her to tag with Lyons in the Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament. She said she felt great pride representing NXT on the main roster but that dream came to a sudden end due to an injury and her not being medically cleared. She said that while dealing with the injury, Lyons told her that she wasn’t angry at her for being injured and once she was healthy she went back to carrying Lyons.

Stark said that as soon as she felt the Tag Team Titles in her hands she knew what needed to be done. We then get a video of last week’s attack on Lyons. Stark said that she was helping everyone but the more she did the more people would cling to her. Stark said that she was just tired and is now part of the problem rather than the solution. Stark said she busted her ass too hard for this opportunity. She then looked at the crowd and told everyone in the Performance Center and at home ‘Screw You”. Stark said those are the same people who love Lyons. Stark said that NXT is no longer about the future, but about Zoey Stark. Stark continued by saying she is undeniable and she is now the hunter and every woman in the back is the prey.

Andre Chase is shown grading some papers as Duke Hudson appeared and said that Chase wanted to meet with him. Chase asked Hudson why he threw the towel in the ring last week. Hudson said that it looked like Chase was in pain and that is much more important than just a wrestling match. Hudson explained to Chase that he did it so Chase could fight another day. Hudson continued by saying he did it for Chase U. Hudson said he bleeds red and black. Thea Hail showed up to discuss a test she just wrote and mentioned that Hudson is starting to grow on her.

Sanga and Veer Mahan were shown meditating in preparation for their next match…

In the locker room, NXT Champion Bron Breakker is sitting as Apollo Crews approached him and said he came back to NXT for one reason as he stared at the title. He then told Breakker to watch him tonight.

Indus Sher (Veer Mahan and Sanga) vs. Jobbers 827278 (George Canon and Ariel Rodriguez)

Sanga tossed Canon like nothing. Sanga then choke slammed Canon. Veer tagged into the match and both he and Sanga sandwich Canon. Canon crawled to the corner as Veer stared right at Rodriguez who looked afraid to come into the match so Veer grabbed Rodriguez and tagged him into the match. It was much of the same borderline assault on Rodriguez. Veer and Sanga also did the sandwich spot on Rodriguez. Sanga hit a big boot on Canon on the apron and then hit Rodriquez with a backbreaker followed by a legdrop for the win.

Winners: Indus Sher (Veer Mahan and Sanga)

After the match Veer grabbed a mic and said that he and Sanga have respect for the Creed brothers and the fans respect The Creeds but the Creeds don’t respect Indus Sher. Veer said in India Indus Sher are treated as celebrities, but in America they aren’t appreciated. Sanga said the only time they’ll get respect is when they destroy The Creeds.

The Creeds were watching a monitor and they said they’ll step up to Indus’ challenge. Tatum Paxley and Ivy nile show up and Nile said that she was happy they don’t have to worry about Damon Kemp. Julius said they can’t leave Indus Sher unchecked. Nile said that The Creeds should focus on the Tag Team titles…

JD McDonagh made his entrance for the next match

The hardest working reporter in all of professional Wrestling, McKenzie Mitchell is with Wendy Choo. McKenzie asked Choo about Cora Jade’s comments from last week. Choo said Jade hurt her by giving her insults she hasn’t heard since high school. Choo said she’s going to give Jade two black eyes for that.

Apollo Crews made his entrance for the next match

JD McDonagh vs. Apollo Crews

The match started off with a lockup with the two wrestlers and they go back and forth exchanging submissions. McDonagh with an arm drag and a chop to Crews. McDonagh followed this up with a series of kicks to Crews stomach area but Crews came back with chops of his own. Crews then hit a Back Body Drop on McDonagh which sent him out of the ring. Outside, Crews threw McDonagh right into the announce table as we head to a break.

Back from the commercial, McDonagh re-gained control of the match as he hit a Back Suplex on Crews. Crews quickly came back and dropped McDonagh and went for a standing Moonsault. Crews then hit a splash in the corner on McDonagh and followed that up with two powerbombs.

After a short while McDonagh took Crews down and hit a stomp on Crews’ back. Crews rolled to the outside and McDonagh hit a Moonsault to him out there. McDonagh tossed Crews back in the ring and went to the top rope but Crews recovered and ran to McDonagh and hit a modified Superplex. Both men got back up and we had a chop off in the middle of the ring. McDonagh then rolled Crews up for a pin but Crews reversed it for a pin of his own but it wasn’t enough to win the match. McDonagh hit a Spanish Fly on Crews along with a headbutt. Crews came right back looking for a powerbomb, but McDonagh hit him with a sunset flip. McDonagh maintained control of the match as he sent Crews face first to the top rope and went back to the top rope but Crews moved out of the way and hit an elevated Uranage for the pin and the win!

Winner: Appollo Crews

After the match, just as Crews requested, Breakker was watching the end of the match from the entrance ramp…

The hardest working reporter in all of wrestling, McKenzie Mitchell was with Mandy Rose. McKenzie asked Rose about her title match later in the night against Alba Fyre. Rose said that through her NXT run people would count her out and said she couldn’t carry a title. Rose said that she continues to prove everyone wrong as she’s still the NXT Women’s Champion. She said she’s not a cliché, but she’s a one in a billion superstar. She said the title will stay with her by the end of the night.

The hardest working reporter in all of professional wrestling, McKenzie Mitchell was with Javier Bernal. Bernal said he’s going to be challenging someone tonight. Bernal issues challenges to Axiom, Ilja Dragunov, or any member of Gallus. McKenzie reminded Bernal each of them was unavailable for whatever reason. Javi then blamed McKenzie for holding him back.

North American Title Contract Signing

Booker T is moderating the contract signing and both men were in the ring after Booker introduced them. Carmello Hayes told Booker that it was an honour to be in the ring with him. Booker thanked him and asked Hayes how he feels about having the opportunity to become a three times NA Champion? Hayes said that he knows Wes Lee can go all the way but he now sees his limits. Hayes said that Lee’s best time of his life as champion will end next week after their match. Trick Williams added that Lee has nothing on Melo. Trick said that next week would be Lee’s first and only title defense. Booker then asked Hayes how far he’s willing to go to walk out as champion next week. Lee said that everyone knows how hard he’s had to work to earn the NA Championship and he played the hand the universe gave him really well and he’ll solidify the man he’s become next week. Lee said that he’ll risk everything to keep the title.

Booker then handed over the contract to Hayes who immediately signed it. Booker handed it to Lee who did the same. Booker then announced that the match is official for next week and asked the NXT-ras if they are ready? Haye’s said he would beat Lee down in front of the fans and no one would be able to do anything. Trick mocked Lee about knocking his head in the locker. Lee and Trick were about to go at it until Booker stepped in and said both men can save their drama for they momma, and saving the physicality for next week. Booker asked, Can You Dig That, Sucka?

We now get another Donnovan Dijak promo. He was in a dark room drinking whiskey. He said the truth is never simple, until he sits at the table. He said then you can give him the truth, or he’ll beat it out of you. He said that NXT is a soft society, but that’s going to change soon. He said he’s not a product of his environment and hard justice is on it’s way.

Odyssey Jones was backstage with Malik Blade & Edris Enofe. Blade explained that he wore the sweater vest as a tribute to his dad, who was a pastor. Blade said he is wearing the vests to honor his dad’s memory.

The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid w/Joe Gacy, Ava Raine) vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen (w/Fallon Henley)

Jensen with an armdrag early in the match and was able to somehow get a two-count from that. Reid tagged into the match and matched with Jensen as he connected with a slew of elbows. Briggs tagged into the match and hit Reid with a shoulder tackle. Jensen then locked in an armbar on Reid. Reid got up and was tripped up by a double-team from Briggs and Jensen as they hit him with their Baseball Slide punch. Red was able to tag Fowler in and dropped Jensen who went to the outside. That was when Raine got in the face of Jensen which bought enough time for Reid to land a Suicide Dive onto him which made Jensen smash right into the announce table.

Jensen went back into the ring and fought his way to make the hot tag to Briggs. Briggs took out both members of The Dyad by hitting Fowler with a shoulder tackle and Reid on the outside with a Rebound Lariat. Back in the ring, Briggs did a big splash on Fowler. Out of the ring, Kiana James showed up to confront Fallon Henley. Henley punched James who fell right on Jensen’s lap who helped her up. Back in the ring, The Dyad hit a distracted Briggs (looking at the fight between James and Henley) with a double Paydirt for the pin and win.

Winner: The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid)

In a pre-recorded promo, Shawn Michaels announced a new match for Deadline known as the Iron Survivor Match. He said there will be one for the men & women.

5 competitors will be in each and 2 superstars will begin the match. Competitors will enter the match in five minute intervals, where the goal is for them to obtain as many pinfalls and submissions as possible. Those who are pinned or tap out will be sent to the penalty box for 90 seconds. The winners will become the new #1 Contender for the NXT Mens & Women’s Title.

Indi Hartwell vs. Tatum Paxley W/Ivy Nile

Before the match started we saw the lights flicker like they have been for the last several weeks during random times. Paxley hit Hartwell with a dropkick early in the match. Hartwell then reversed an Overdrive and hit Paxley with a Lariat which was only good for a two-count. Hartwell controlled a lot of the match but Paxley tripped Hartwell and landed a forearm. Paxley followed that with a standing Moonsault. Hartwell has had enough and ripped the facemask off Paxley and stomped her while she was down. Hartwell tossed the mask to Nile who was at ringside and hit Paxley with a basement forearm for the win.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

We get another promo for SCRYPTS who seems to be the jigsaw of NXT right now. Scrypts talked about how he easily got past WWE Performance Center security. SCRYPTS mentioned they will make their NXT debut next week saying they are faster than lighting and no one can match their ability. Scrypts ended the promo by asking “who wants to play a game”.

Roxanne Perez confronted Indi Hartwell first by thanking her for her wining streak but then questioning why she ripped the mask off Paxley. Hartwell said Paxley wouldn’t care if she broke her [Hartwell’s] nose so she would do anything to get into the Iron Survivor Match even if it meant breaking someone’s face.

Mandy Rose vs. Alba Fyre in a Last Woman Standing Match for the NXT Women’s Championship

As soon as the match started Rose ran to the outside of the ring and said the match would be on her terms. Fyre dove on Rose on the outside and cleared the announce table. Fyre went for a Gory Bomb but Rose escaped but Fyre caught up tp her again and tossed Rose around on the outside of the ring. Shortly thereafter, Rose reversed a Body Slam and ended up delivering a Body Slam of her own on a steel chair. Fyre was able to beat the 10-count. Fyre went for a chair shot but Rose kicked the chair away and went for a Kiss From a Rose but Fyre was able to block it at the last second with a chair which hurt Rose. Fyre then put Rose in a Wrench Assisted Boston Crab.

Back from the break, Rose had Fyre fish hooked with the help of a wrench. Fyre was able to escape and hit Rose with a Front Suplex. Fyre continued her control of the match as she kocked Rose and went for a Tornado DDT. Rose made her way to the corner and Fyre hit a Cannonball on Rose. Fyre was in full control and grabbed a ladder and smashed it on Rose’s stomach and followed that up with a whip onto the ladder. Rose just moved away from the ladder dropping on her and as the ten-count continued she used the barricade to pull herself up. Fyre maintained control as she hit Rose with a Death Valley Driver onto a trash can.

Rose slowly made her way up but her knee buckled from all of the punishment and the chair to the knee after the Kiss From a Rose attempt. Rose was finally able to make a brief comeback in the match as she backdropped Fyre to ringside which hurt her own knee. Rose and Fyre then fought around the Performance Center, specifically the Balcony Area. Rose then shoved Fyre off the barricade but Fyre was able to beat the 10-count. Rose was waiting for Fyre to get up on the barricade and she dove to Fyre BUT Fyre hit a superkick on Rose and followed that with a Gory Bomb on the apron. Rose quickly got up from the finisher (UGH!) . Fyre then took a Baseball Bat to Rose’s stomach. Fyre laid Rose on the announce table and climbed a ladder that was set up. As Fyre made it to the top, Isla Dawn showed up and spit mist onto Fyre who went crashign thorugh the announce table as Rose barely moved out of the way. Rose beat the 10-count but Fyre was still down and out on the collapsed announce table to give Many Rose the win.

Winner: AND STILL NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose

After the match Mandy Rose limped to the back and Isla Dawn was a manic at the top of the ladder as we see the technical glitches from orevious weeks going nuts to close the show.

Here are some Digital exclusives post-show:

Next Week:

  • Wes Lee vs. Carmelo Hayes for the North American Championship
  • Wendy Choo vs. Cora Jade

NXT TV: November 15, 2022

The show was bookended with title matches. The men’s match was good considering Von Wagner was part of it. Now we see who the next challenger to Breakker will be. It appeared that after Crews beat McDonagh it will be him.

Mandy Rose is still champ after help from Isla Dawn. The commentators mentioned and knew who Isla Dawn was as they mentioned her time on NXT UK. I hope we get a solid reason for Isla Dawn attacking Alba Fyre or else this would be an underwhelming debut.

SCRYPTS debuts next week. Okay…

Im really looking forward to the NA Championship match between Lee and Hayes as we finally get the one on one match that I’ve wanted to see since April.

All in all, this week’s show progressed stories and we got okay in-ring which par for course on NXT TV.
