NJPW is not taking chances and is canceling, postponing the rest of the Year’s Golden Series January tour dates. The promotion will begin live touring again on February 6th in Chiba.

“With a number of wrestlers presenting elevated temperatures or being in close contact with same, and in accordance with event protocols, New Japan Pro-Wrestling has arrived at the difficult decision to cancel or postpone remaining live events on the schedule for January,” wrote the promotion in a statement.

The following events have been outrightly cancelled:

Tuesday January 25 Fukushima ・Toyota Crown Arena

Saturday January 29 Korakuen Hall

Sunday January 30 Ibaraki・Kamisu Bousai Arena

The Aichi event has been postponed from January 28 to April 18th.

All ticket holders will be able to get a refund while tickets for the Aichi January event will be valid for the April event.

“We deeply apologize to fans for the inconvenience, disappointment and concern caused by this decision, and appreciate your understanding,” stated the promotion.

A few days ago, NJPW was forced to pull Toru Yano, Satoshi Kojima, Tomoaki Honma, Minoru Suzuki, Taichi and TAKA Michinoku from the Golden Series tour because one of them had an elevated temperature.
