For the first time ever an NXT Takeover spans two nights which means double the fun for wrestling fans. Here are our predictions and prognostications.

Finn Bálor (champion) versus Karrion Kross (challenger) – NXT Championship Match

John Powell

Editor-in-Chief

It is time for Karrion Kross to continue his disrupted championship reign. Balor doesn’t need the belt to be over in NXT and hopefully he can be the person to unite the Undisputed Era as breaking them up was probably the dumbest thing NXT has ever done. Winner: Karrion Kross.

Kross takes the NXT Championship signalling a new era in NXT has begun.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

Karrion Kross is a juggernaut and there’s no reason they should stop the momentum now.  I say keep the rocket strapped to his back and he should have a record-breaking title reign. What I would do is use the next year to build up a match against WALTER and finally put the NXT Title match on the WrestleMania main card, where he can lose it before heading to the main roster. Winner: Karrion Kross

Rob Fuego

Veteran wrestler/trainer

Kross should have a main event spot again at this time next year. And the way to do that is to pave the way with a win here. Winner: Karrion Kross

Jewells Malone

Pro wrestler, deathmatch star

Kross will kill it, but he’ll fall just short of capturing the gold. Winner: Finn Balor

RJ City

Finn Balor will get the win, after a new paint job frightens everyone.

Kyle O’Reilly versus Adam Cole – Unsanctioned Match

John Powell

Editor-in-Chief

The Undisputed Era gets their revenge on Cole’s betrayal as he heads off to the main roster and the band reunites hopefully under Finn Balor’s command in a few weeks. Winner: Kyle O’Reilly.

Matthew Byer

Probably the match of night and a pretty hard hitting contest.  Cole will win in the end, but there will be a lot of false finishes before that happens.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

This could very well be the match of the week – not just NXT, but WrestleMania as well. If the match is as good as the preview video, this will be gold. I think Cole gets the screwjob win, leading to O’Reilly challenging him to a Loser Leaves NXT match that ultimately gives O’Reilly  the fairytale ending, and sends Cole off to his next venture on the main roster. Winner: Adam Cole

Rob Fuego

Veteran wrestler/trainer

I see major things ahead for Adam Cole – I would love to see him adopt more of a Ric Flair type persona. Winner: Adam Cole

Jewells Malone

Pro wrestler, deathmatch star

Some interference from the locker room will come into play, and Adam Cole will use this to his advantage to get the win. Winner: Adam Cole

RJ City

Wrestling personality

This will end in a draw, after Bobby Fish throws in both their towels.

Johnny Gargano (champion) versus Gauntlet Eliminator Winner (challenger) – NXT North American Championship Match

John Powell

Editor-in-Chief

Bronson Reed cements his legacy in NXT by wiping out Gargano. Winner: Bronson Reed.

Matthew Byer

Contributor

I’ll go with my pick Cameron Grimes again.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

I think LA Knight’s push continues with his second win in as many nights. Winner: LA Knight

Rob Fuego

Veteran wrestler/trainer

Winner: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

Jewells Malone

Pro wrestler, deathmatch star

This match is going to be sick. In the end, Johnny Wrestling will get it done. Winner: Johnny Gargano

RJ City

Wrestling personality

Bronson Reed will win, after he doubles down on his Bam Bam Bigelow tribute by shaving his head and tattooing flames on it.

Jordan Devlin (champion) vs. Santos Escobar (interim champion) – NXT Cruiserweight Championship Ladder Match

John Powell

Editor-in-Chief

I am sure it will be a decent match. I just don’t have much interest in this one. It makes sense to have Devlin forge ahead with the plans NXT had for him before the pandemic. Winner: Jordan Devlin

Matthew Byer

My pick is Escobar becoming the undisputed NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

These two are in an unenviable position, since the setup of this match, which included Shawn Michaels, is invariably going to have people comparing this one with HBK’s match against Razor at WM10 under similar circumstances. This will be good, but no way it will be as good as that one. Winner: Santos Escobar

Rob Fuego

Veteran wrestler/trainer

Santos Escobar is another future main show main-eventer. Winner: Santos Escobar

Jewells Malone

Pro wrestler, deathmatch star

I expect this one will be stellar. Hopefully the violence will be highlighted in this one – this one deserves to have some bloodflow to really drive home the point. Winner: Santos Escobar

RJ City

Wrestling personality

The bad guy takes all the gold. Winner: Santos Escobar

Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart (champions) versus The Way – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

John Powell

Editor-in-Chief

It is far too soon for the new champs to surrender those belts, especially when one considers how fast the first champs lost the straps. Winners: Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.

Matthew Byer

Contributor

It is far too early for Moon and Blackheart to drop the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles so look for them to retain after a pretty good bout against The Way.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

With all the musical guests on hand this week, they couldn’t get Fastball to come sing “The Way” for their entrance?  Because they won’t be singing it after the match, because the winning team’s music will play, and that team will be Shotzi and Ember. Winners: Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon

Rob Fuego

Veteran wrestler/trainer

Winners: The Way

Jewells Malone

Pro wrestler, deathmatch star

Love my girls Shotzi and Ember, and am predicting they will win after a really strong match. Winners: Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon

RJ City

The Way will win via DQ, after Shotzi accidentally runs over the ref with her tank
