Greetings and salutations! This week on Dynamite we will see the fallout from the attack on Kenny Omega as he will have a special announcement on the show. Also on the show, the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and his Double or Nothing opponent, Christian Cage will go face to face. Also on the show TNT Champion, Adam Copeland will defend his title against Brody King. With all of this and so much more, we will get straight into it.


Adam Copeland is shown arriving at the arena in Edmonton and he says that he’s not doing that great. Copeland says he just got off the phone with Tony Khan and announced that tonight’s TNT Championship match with Brody King is now a no-disqualification match. Copeland says House of Black wanted The Rated R Superstar, and now they have him.


Orange Cassidy VS Trent Beretta


Don Callis joins the commentary team. Cassidy and Beretta took the fight to the crowd for a bit. Cassidy tripped Beretta while he was on the barricade. Back in the ring, Beretta hit a knee strike, but Cassidy comes right back with an Orange Punch, that brought both men down hard on the mat. Beretta removed the turnbuckle pad, but the ref saw it and as the ref was giving him a talking to,  Cassidy removed another turnbuckle pad. Cassidy drops and used the momentum to run Beretta into the exposed steel. Cassidy rolled up Beretta and got the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

After the match, Beretta attacked Cassidy and eventually hit Cassidy with a piledriver on the steel steps. Beretta then sling-shot Cassidy into the steel beam underneath the ring. Beretta then grabbed a toolbox, and Cassidy grabbed a steel chair. Don Callis and Kris Statlander separated both of them. Callis and Cassidy leave together again as Beretta and Statlander argued.

Jack Perry promo aired. Perry said Kenny Omega isn’t as bad as he thinks he is. Perry said he hoped Omega could do all his classic moves in his hometown, because it would probably be the last time. Kenny Omega is in the hospital. He apologizes for not being able to be there live and blames The Elite for it. Omega says he appreciates that Matthew reminded him last week that the attack wasn’t personal, but just business. Omega says as an EVP he must handle some business of his own. Omega announces Anarchy in the Arena for Double or Nothing, The Elite vs. Team AEW where Team AEW will conist of FTR and says the other two names will reveal themselves to The Elite later tonight….


Serena Deeb chats…


Tony Schiavone brought out Serena Deeb. Deeb said she’s excited to wrestle for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Double or Nothing and that she loves Toni Storm, but she’s aware of the narrative. The narrative is that she can’t beat Storm. Deeb said losing is not an option. Deeb speaks about the seizures she suffered last year and says she can’t explain how scary it was. Serena said all that wason her mind during the recovery was the AEW Women’s World Champion.

Toni Storm is out. Storm says she thought she was going to hear from her challenger, but all she heard from was a charity case. Deeb told Storm to give a shit and take her seriously. Storm says she doesn’t give a shit about what Deeb went through. The two women go nose to nose and as Deeb tries to leave, Storm stops her, and before Storm can attack,  Deeb punches and KO’s Storm.


Orange Cassidy is backstage in the training room. Rocky Romero comes in and tells Cassidy that if he beats Jay White tonight, they can get a shot at the Unified AEW Trios Titles with a partner of their choosing. Cassidy wishes Romero luck but also said he will never team with Beretta again.


Mariah May VS Harley Cameron (w/ Saraya)


May blocked a kick and hit a headbutt on Harley. May up the ropes and lands a Missile Dropkick. May goes for a Hip Attack, but Saraya pulled Cameron out of the ring. May went to ringside and Elbowed Saraya.

Back in the ring, Cameron caught May in an inside cradle for a 2-count, but May came right back and hits a May Day before getting the 3 count.

Winner: Mariah May

After the match, Saraya attacked May, but Mina Shirakawa makes the save and her and May celebrate, dance, and have some champagne.


PAC is backstage seems off and says after being asked about a return for Death Triangle, he said he’s not too concerned about that. Jay White and BC Gold walk up and Jay White says no one is concerned about Death Triangle because it’s dead. White says that PAC lost to Okada, but he can beat him and he will bring the Continental Championship to Bullet Club Gold. Jay brings up that he has a match with Romero later on, and that was his focus.

A House of Black vignette and it was pretty much a tease for the eventual Adam Copeland and Malakai Black match.

An Elite vignette aired. It was Pro Elite.We cut to the back where Matthew and Nicholas Jackson praise the promo and say they will address Omega later.


The Champ talks


AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland comes to the ring and says that he is pissed off and wnats to fight. They replay the beatdown he took at the hands of Cage. Swerve calls out Cafe and the family. Christian Cage and his family come out and said that Edmonton is supposed to be the city of champions, but they won’t be getting any championships this year when the Canucks beat the Oilers later. Cage says he’s going to keep taking things away from Swerve until he gets what he wants at Double or Nothing. Cage says Swerve has been riding a wave of momentum, but waves always crash.

Christian says the only gold Swerve will have after Double or Nothing is the gold in his teeth, but he might have to take those now. Swerve says that he was not alone as The Mogul Embassy arrived from behind to stand with Swerve. Swerve runs down Cage and even threw in a Drake joke.

The Mogul Embassy attacked Strickland from behind and then Swerve got tossed to ringside. The Mogul Embassy then Powerbomb Swerve Strickland through the commentator’s table as Cage laughs.

Backstage, Christian Cage and The Young Bucks acknowledge they are working together as the setup was a great idea.


Willow Nightingale is backstage and the TBS Champion says she’s still feeling beat up from last week but you cannot beat the smile off her face. Nightingale says she’s ready for Mercedes Moné but wants to know if Mercedes is ready for her. Willow reminds us that she has a win over Mone and says she hopes she’s ready for the fight of her life.


 Jay White (w/Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) VS Rocky Romero


White was in full control through the match until Romero used a backslide for a 2-count. Romero hit Sliced Bread for another 2-count. White comes back and hits a nasty Brainbuster, followed by a Blade Runner for the win.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, Bullet Club Gold continued to attack Rocky Romero until PAC made the save.

FTW Champion Chris Jericho and Big Bill VS Mo Jabari and Harlon Abbott


Big Bill chokeslams both men and then tags in Jericho. Jericho with a Judas Effect on Harlon Abbott for the win.

Chris Jericho says they were in Calgary, then said he deserved the negative reaction and he will learn from his mistakes. Jericho then says The Learning Tree always learns does. Jericho thanks the people and thanks Big Bill for the great job he did tonight. Chris Jericho gave kudos to Katsuyori Shibata and also thanks HOOK while claiming HOOK hit himself in the face with the baseball bat. Tony Schiavone tells Jericho that HOOK will be back next week.


TBS Championship No DQ: Adam Copeland defeated Brody King


After brutal back and firth and hard slams through chairs, there was a table set up at ringside. Copeland tried to lock a Sleeper on King, but King is the one that locks the Sleeper on Copeland. Back in the ring, the two go back and forth some more until each man kicks each other.

King with a Cannonball in the corner for a 2-count. King with a Piledriver, which slowed both down a bit. After both men slowly get up and fight more, Copeland sat King on his shoulders and did a Death Valley Driver on the apron.  Copeland speared King through the ropes going through the table set up outside. Copeland with one more Spear in the ring to end things.

Winner: Adam Copeland

Brody King attacks Copeland with a Lariat, but Kyle O’Reilly comes out to make the save.


Mercedes Moné is backstage and she says we are only 18 days away from her in-ring debut for AEW. Mercedes says she thrives in the ring and under pressure and she is ready for Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing. Moné says Nightingale took something away from her that she can never get back…time.

Adam Copeland and Kyle O’Reilly are backstage and Copeland thanks O’Reilly for his help. O’Reilly says he’s happy to help but asks for a favor. O’Reilly says that since Collision is in his hometown on Saturday (Vancouver), he wants a title shot. Copeland accepts.


The Elite Speak


Kazuchika Okada jokingly tells Kenny Omega to get well. Matthew sends well wishes to Tony Khan and says he’s the best boss he’s ever worked for. Matthew then says that Tony Khan got in their way and that’s why they had to give him a TK Driver.

Matthew says Kenny Omega ended 15 years of friendship last week, and they had to give an EVP an EVP Trigger. Nicholas says if Omega wants Anarchy in the Arena, it’s on. The Bucks wish FTR luck in trying to find two other people to fill out the team AEW.

FTR is out and they say they have two people who stepped up ready for the match. Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson come out and all 8 men brawl to end the show.
