F4WOnline is reporting that the WWE has cut ties with Gable Steveson.

Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, was once a hot prospect in WWE but never rose to the hype surrounding his signing in 2021.

As part of the 2021 WWE draft he was signed to the Raw brand without having wrestled a single match. Stephanie McMahon even introduced him at WrestleMania before he laid out Chad Gable.

Steveson was later shifted to the NXT brand. He debuted at The Great American Bash against Baron Corbin. His performance was largely criticized by fans who cheered on Corbin who was supposed to he the heel in their bout.

Stevenson had 17 matches in total with WWE with five being dark matches, the match at GAB and 11 house show matches. The most notable dark match involved him beating Cedric Alexander at SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution.
