Both Vince McMahon and the TKO group have addressed the allegations in a lawsuit filed against McMahon, the WWE and then Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis.

Ex-WWE employee Ms. Janel Grant has accused the parties of sex trafficking, sexual and emotional abuse in her lawsuit filed on Thursday with a Connecticut court.

“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself,” a spokesman for McMahon told Deadline.

The TKO Group, the owner of the WWE brand responded with a statement of their own distancing themselves from McMahon.

“Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter pre-dates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally,” read the statement.

Currently, McMahon is the Executive Chairman of the TKO Group. It is not clear if McMahon will remain in his position with the company.
