Charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm in Orlando, AEW’s Cash Wheeler appeared in court today with his attorney.

“He turned himself in late last night on a warrant by the Orlando Police Department. The charge is aggravated assault with a firearm. It is a third degree felony,” said Wheeler’s attorney asking for a bond of $2,500 with no contact with the alleged victims and no possession of any weapons.

According to Wheeler’s attorney, he has no idea who the alleged victims are.

The state attorney did not contest the motion as Wheeler has no previous history but described the incident as “road rage”.

“He allegedly flashed a handgun at the victim,” said the state attorney.

The judge signed off on the bond decision but instructed Wheeler to turn over any other weapons that are in his possession within 12 hours of his release.

Wheeler has plead not guilty to the charge.

Wheeler could face five years in prison if convicted.

AEW has released a statement saying:

“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

Wheeler and his FTR partner Dax Hardwood are supposed to be defending the titles against The Young Bucks at the All In at Wembley Stadium.
