Greetings and salutations! We are here for Slammiversary 2023. Its a full card and I’m sure we will get tons of surprises so without further ado, let’s get to it!


Countdown to Slammiversary


Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans & Jai Vidal vs Jody Threat & Death Dollz (Courtney Rush & Jessicka)


Early in thematch Jessicka had Vidal all over the ring but Vidal runs to his corner. Rush ends up coming in and making Vidal run. This match was exactly what you thought it would be so let’s jump t the end. Threat is in the match as the hot tag and she takes everyone down. All members of the match are in but Shaw superkicks Jessicka but then Threat suplexes Shaw. This allows Rush to hit  Vidal with a Spear! This is good for the win!

Winners: Jody Threat & Death Dollz (Courtney Rush & Jessicka)


Digital Media Championship:Joe Hendry (c) vs Kenny King w/ Sheldon Jean


King is on a mission and he takes it to he champ from the start. Hendry is able to turn things around and hits a beauty Vertical Suplex. Jean manages to come in and cause a distraction. King then hits the champ, Hendry hard. Through the match, Jean keeps trying to get themselves involved, but this gives King the opening to coke the champ. Hendry is able to show what he is made of and is able to muscle out of everything that King throws at him. Hendry hits a Fallaway Slam on King but the pin is stopped as King puts his foot on the rope. The match keeps going and King hits Jean as he runs in the ring and Jean is on the apron. Hendry tries all he can but it wasn’t enough to put King away. King keeps fighting Hendry and slams him down, Jean grabs Hendry’s foot as King pins him to become new Digital Media Champ!

Winner: AND NEW Impact Digital Media  Champion; Kenny King


Slammiversary Main Show


 Ultimate X Match: KUSHIDA vs Alan Angels vs Jonathan Gresham vs Kevin Knight vs Mike Bailey vs Jake Something


The match started with a surprise as Jake Something was a surprise entrant to the match. Jake is able to make his presence known early as he overpowers Knight hard. Jake is then able to take out Gresham and Bailey with a double clothesline in the ring. Jake is now the targeted man and everyone teams up to take hm out. Jake ends up outside of the ring and Gresham does a Tope Suicida on him. Bailey follows that dive up with a Moonsault on him. In the ring. Angels is able to hit a double Spanish fly on Gresham and Bailey. Angles and KUSHIDA then square up and KUSHIDA is able to put Angels on his shoulders and out of nowhere Knight Dropkicks him.

Bailey then delivers a huge Moonsault on Knight. Bailey continues his run and is thinking of climbing the cables unitl Angels makes his presence known again with a steel chair. Angels then takes the chair and beats Kight with it. Angels has the full momentum of the match as he does a Reverse Rana on Knight from the top rope. Jake then makes his way to the C but Angels stops him with a kick to the gonads, sending him down hard. KUSHIDA then finds the opening and takes everyone out and rushes to the X to finally grab it!

Winner: KUSHIDA


We see Team Canada Members at ringside. I wonder who can be teaming with Scott D’Amore???

In the back Gia Miller is with Kenny King. Here is what he had to say:


Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: The Coven (Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King) vs Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly 


Kelly and Wilde are going at it until Kelly hits Wilde with a Pump Kick. This doesn’t keep her down too much as Wilde take Kelly down and separates her from her partner. The Coven have a clear advantage as they double team Kelly hard. King with a Senton but Kelly is able to move out of the way. Kelly is finally able to make that hot tag on Slamovich! Slamovich is bale to take everyone out and stand tall in the middle of the ring by herself. Slamovich with a Kick on Wilde and goes for the pin, but King is able to break it up.

King with a Butterfly Suplex on Wilde that makes her hit the corner hard. Slamovich is now in and flies through the ring from the top rope to King. She then hits King with a Dropkick to ensure she can’t interfere. King with a Boot to Kelly. This was not enough to end the match. King is back in the equation as she hits a Big Boot to Kelly Wilde then hits Witch’s Wrath for a 2-count. Kelly pulls King out to prevent The Coven’s finisher. Masha hits Snow Plow on Wilde for the win.

Bully Ray & Deaner w/ Kon vs Scott D’Amore & Eric Young – Special Enforcer: Darren McCarty


So in what ended up being a not huge but let’s be honest a huge surprise, Eric Young is back in Impact. Eric Young teams up with his Team Canada mentor against the person who took him out and Bully Ray. D’Amore surprises everyone as he takes out Deaner with a jumping Clothesline, then he follows this up with a leg Drop. D’Amore calls on his partner, Eric Young and they hit a double death drop, but that was only good for a 2-count. D’Amore keeps impressing as he hits a Sky High on Deaner. It’s time for the Canadian Destroyer, but Kon comes down and stand on the apron for an interference. This didn’t phase the Special Enfrocer as Darren McCarty comes in and knocks Kon down.

The ref is so focused on Kon that Ray comes in and takes out D’Amore with a shot to the back. Bully goes full on the hate as he is able to find D’Amore’s mom at ringside. He keeps taunting her. Back in the ring, Ray with a Low blow on D’Amore. The ref sees this but Young begins to plead with the ref not to DQ ray. The match goes on but eventually, the ref can’t take Ray’s cheating and just ups and leaves the match.

With no ref in the match, McCarty decides to put on the stripes. D’Amore is able to recover enough and hits a Spear on Ray. This allows D’Amore to give Young the hottest of hot tags. Young is in the match as he hits Deaner with a Spike Piledriver. Kon decides to insert himself back into the match and pulls McCarty out of the ring as he does a count for Young. A1 is in and clotheslines Kon to take him out of the equation. McCarty then just ups and gets involved as he hits a Stunner on Ray for payback from March. D’Amore climbs to the top and his Ray on the Gonads from the top rope. There is a table set up and the actual ref, McCarty is back in the match and helps D’Amore by putting Ray through the table. D’amore then hits a Canadian Destroyer on Deaner. Young then climbs the ropes and hits an Elbow drop for the huge win.

Winners: Scott D’Amore & Eric Young


We get a Nick Aldis promo and he says that tonight we will “open the book of the Aldis era”  and he will beat Shelley.


X-Division Champion Chris Sabin vs Lio Rush – X-Division Championship


This is such an intriguing match. Rush takes the early control as he hits Sabib off the apron with a Handsring. With Sabin on the outside, Rush does a dive out to him. Now we finally get the start of the match. Sabin is already showing signs of an injury and this is the story through the match. We get a doc and trainer but Sabin continues in the match.

Rush is a Final Hour but Sabin is so resilient that he gets up from it to keep the match going. Sabin tries to come back, but the injury is too much. Rush hits a second Final Hour, but Sabin is too injured, and Rush is able to pick up the shocking win. We have a new X-Division champ!

Winner: AND NEW Impact X-Division Champion; Lio Rush


Gia Miller is with Alex Shelley. She asked, based on Sabin losing the belt if the Motor City Machine Gun era is done. Shelley is a man of few words and says nothing before he just walks away.


IMPACT World Tag Team Championship:ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs Moose & Brian Myers vs SUBCULTURE (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) w/ Dani Luna vs Rich Swann & Sami Callihan 


This match was absolutely insane and I implore everyone to watch this match on Social Media. Swann hits a Shoulder Breaker on Webster, followed by a stiff kick right to the face. Moose is in the match and he takes control of Swann a bit. Moose sets Swann up for a Powerbomb, but Swann gets out of it and takes out both Swann and Myers out. Bey gets in the match. Bey tries to take it to Moose, but Moose ends up hitting a Powerbomb on the apron to Bey. Bey is able to make is way to a corner and his partner Callihan tags back into the match.

Callihan with a Death Valley Driver on Webster. Swann is back in and hits a Rolling Splash also on Webster. Austin inserts himself and ends up kicking Swann into a Neckbreaker from his very own partner, Bey. Shortly after that, we see the tag team tactics from Myers and Moose as they come in and hit Syncing Powerbombs on the champs. Andrews is in and hits a Double Pele Kick on Moose and Myers. Moose fights back and eventually hits a Bicycle Kick, but Andrews was able to see this all coming as he hit a Stundog Millionaire on Moose. Bey and Swann came right back into the match and hit Double Stunners on Moose.

As the champs go for the pin. The Rascalz come in and stop the momentum that Moose had as he just hit Cutters on the champs. Andrews lands a Shooting Star Press on Myers who was down after a group fight. 1..2..3! New Champs!

Eddie Edwards w/ Alisha Edwards vs Frankie Kazarian w/ Traci Brooks


As we had in their previous match, Alisha inserts herself into the match early and trips up Kazarian. The women’s legend, Traci Brooks is in and she ends up tripping Edwards to give Kazarian that advantage. Both men are outside of the ring and Edwards hits chops on Kazarian. Edwards send Kazarian back into the ring. Edwards with an Atomic Drop, and a Belly-to-Belly Suplex for a 2-count. Edwards puts the boots to Kazarian unitl Kazarian counters and gets a bit of the advantage on his side. Kazarian is near the corner and Edwards runs at him, but Kazarian moves out of the way, sending Edwards to the outside.

Kazarian has the advantage and hits a slingshot Hurricanrana to the outside of the ring. Alisha inserts herself back in and rakes the back of Kazarian. Edwards then takes the match to Kazarian for a bit as he took advantage of his wife’s interruption. Kazarian fights back and sends Edwards to the corner and hits a Clothesline, folloed by his Springboard Leg Drop. Both men are back up and Edwards hits a Backback Stunner for a 2-count.

The two men battle back and forth until Edwards his a Superplex from the toprope on Kazarian. Shortly after that, Kazarian hits a Slingshot Cutter for a 2-count. As the match goes on and both men are showing signs of wear and tear, Kazarian bumps the ref by running into him. Alisa is in, Kendo Stick in hand. The Legend Tracis Brooks is in and hits a Running Clothesline on Alisha. While all this was going on, Kazarian locked in a Chicken Wing on Edwards and he was tapping! Kazarian break it up and a bit after, Eddie grabs a Kendo Stick and hits Kazarian wit it to only set up a Boston Tea Party for the win.

Winner: Eddie Edwards 


 Knockouts World Championship:Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Trinity


The match gets started and through the early parts of the match, Purrazzo is looking for her Fujiwara Armbar. Purrazzo actually locks it in after some combo back and forth, but Trinity is able to get out and she hits the champ with a Crossbody. Trinity hits a second Crossbody off the top rope for a 2-count. Trinity then goes for a Springboard move, but Purrazzo comes right back into the match and takes her down. The women battle back and forth and Purrazzo stops Trinity’s momentum.

Purrazzo with an Irish Whip that makes Trinity bounce off the corner. Trinity comes right back from that and kicks Purrazo in the face, and hits a few clotheslines. Trinity then looks for Star Struck but Purrazzo gets out of it. With both women back up, Purrazzo finds the control of the match and hits a Piledriver for a 2-count. Purrazzo with a Russian Leg Sweep attempt and looks for the Queens Gambit, but then somehow she looks for a Fujiwara Armbar. Trinity fights and claws her way to the bottom rope for the break.

Trinity tries to get a breather outside of the ring but Purrazzo stalks her. Trinity is able to take advantage as she smashes Purrazzo’s face all over ringside. Back in the ring, Trinity hits a Split Legged Moonsault for a 2.9 count. Purrazzo comes right back and hits a Queens Gambit on the apron and goes for a pin, but Trinity is up at 2.9. Trinity comes right back and takes full control of the match. Trinity with a splash from the top, then hits Star Struck. Purrazzo has no choice but to tap out!

Winner: AND NEW Knockouts Champion; Trinity


IMPACT World Championship: Alex Shelley vs Nick Aldis


Shelley takes it right to Aldis as he spits water in his face as the bell sounds, but Aldis comes right back with a Powerbomb. Aldis is lookig for the early win as he locks Kingsley Cloverleaf, but Shelley is able to get the rope break. Aldis hits an irish whip and continues to put the boots to Shelley. Shelley is able to escape and he starts focusing all of his offense on Aldi’s legs. Shelley hits a Dragon Screw, but Aldis comes right back and traps Shelley in the apron as he chops, punches and generally takes over on the champ. Shelley is able to come back from this and whip Aldis to the Steel post.

Shelley starts to bend and twist the fingers of Aldis in the ring. Aldis comes back and both men exchange blows until Shelley hits a Superplex off the top rope on Aldis. Shelley is in control as he hits a Sliced Bread on Aldis also. From the Sliced Bread, Shelly converts that to a Motor City Stretch. Aldis is able to get out, but Shelley takes it to Aldis. Shelley with a second Sliced Bread, but Aldis, being the vet he is turns this into not one, but to piledrivers. This was only good for a 2-count.

Aldis is done with the games and he gets the belt. The ref sees this and as he is putting the belt back, Aldis hits a Low Blow on Shelley. Aldis with a hard head first move but its only good for a 2-count. Shelley fights back , Aldis is countering, but Shelley hits a DDT on the belt that was somehow in the ring and then hits a Shellshock for the win!

Winner: AND STILL Impact World Champion; Alex Shelley

After the match. Alex Shelley is celebrating and then….former IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander is BACK! Alexander goes face to face with Shelley and says “I’m back”.

Slammiversary 2023

This was a fun show! All matches had a great build up and they delivered. We saw some cool surprises and some not so obvious ones (Eric Young). Josh Alexander is back! What more can I say? All in all, this was a great show and I will give a special shout out to Traci Brooks who delivered in her appearance tonight.
