Greetings and salutations everyone. On tonight’s episode of ROH TV we have Zack Sabre JR. returning to TV as he faces AR Fox for the NJPW World TV Championship. We also have a No DQ Fights as Mike Bennett and Matt Taven will take on Darius Martin and Action Andretti. Mercedez Martinez will also be returning to ROH TV as she faces Ashley D’Amboise. We have all of that and so much more on this week’s ROH TV, so without further ado, let’s get to it!


The show kicks off  with Dasha backstage and she is joined by The Macks, Willie Mack and Ninja Mack. The Mack’s agree to team up together.


Rey Fenix (w/Alex Abrahantes) VS Gringo Loco


The match was a fast paced affair as both men reversed and dodged the early offense from their opponent. Fenix with an arm that sent Loco to the outide. Fenix followed him out via a Springboard dive. Shortly thereafter, Fenix with a Frog Splash on Loco for a 2-count. The men battled back and forth a bit until Loco catches Fenix rolling and hits a Gorilla Press Slam on him. Loco with a Facebuster for an 2-count of his own. Loco picked up Fenix, and Fenix with some kicks to break loose and his a Spinning Back Kick on Loco. Fenix with a kick to the head of Loco sending him down and followed that up with a Big Splash for another 2-count. Loco tried to fight Fenix off but Fenix connects a Rewind Kick sending Loco outside to ringside.

Back in the ring, Fenix goes for a rolling cutter but Loco catches him and hits a cutter for yet another 2-count. They end up going back and forth some more and Fenix with a Huracanrana for a super close pin attempt. Loco is up and Super Kicks Fenix. Fenix shook it off and takes Loco to the corner ropes and hits a Double Jump Rana and almost won the match but Loco was up at 2. They battle some more and Loco gets the advantage, puts Fenix on his shoulders but Fenix fights this off and hits a Poisonrana, followed by a Rolling Cutter for the win.

Winner: Rey Fenix


Backstage, Dasha is with The Wingmen, Peter Avalon and Ryan Nemeth. They promise to beat the Iron Savages (Boulder and Bronson) while saying ROH is Wimgmen Country.

Its announced that Katsuyori Shibata will face Alex Coughlin in two week on ROH TV.


Willow Nightingale VS Madi Wrenkowski


This was a quick match overall. Nightingale with a splash on the corner and follows up with a Spinebuster. Wrenkowski fights Nightingale to the corner and ends up in the Powerbomb position but she fights it off and takes Nightingale down hard for a 2-count. Wrenkowski is in control and has Nightingale in the corner. Wrenkowski goes for a boot but Nightingale moved out of the way and hits a Pounce and follows that up with The Babe With the Powerbomb and scores the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale


Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) (w/Jacked Jameson) VS The Wingmen (Peter Avalon & Ryan Nemeth)


This match went exactly how you thought it would go. Nemeth takes an A$$ kicking in the early stages of the match. Nemeth eventually chop blocks Bronson and does a hip dance. The dance might have been too much as Bronson hits a Spinbuster on Nemeth. Boulder and Avalon were in and Boulder smashes Avalon down and goes for a Moonsault but Avalon moved out of the way. Avalon with a Splash for a nearfall. Boulder teased Avalon and Bronson comes back in. Iron Savages with an Electric Chair drop onto both members of the Wingmen and Bronson with the pin.

Winners: Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson)


Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal VS Cole Karter & Zack Clayton


Karter and Clayton with the early advantage but Daniels comes back. Karter hit a splash on Sydal and Daniels breaks up the pin. Daniels with the hot tag and takes everyone out. Daniels with a STO followed by Sydal on a dive to the outside on karter. Daniels with a Best Moonsault Ever on Clayton for the win.

Winners: Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal


A Kingdom hype video airs…


Lady Frost VS Miranda Alize


Short but fun match. Frost with a jumping knee and Cartwheel Canonnball on Alize who was on the corner. Alize comes back after a pin attempt and hits a release Suplex for a close pin attempt of her own. Alize with a Tiger Driver for another nearfall. Alize goes for a Neckbreaker but Frost fights her way out to hit an Air Raid Crash. Frost with a Corscrew Moonsault for the win.

Winner: Lady Frost


Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico) (w/Luther) VS Cheeseburger & Eli Isom


Cheeseburger with all the momentum until Angelico beats him down. Cheeseburger was cut off from his partner for a bit until the eventual tag to Isom. Isom clears the ring and takes control of the match. Isom with a beauty dive onto Serpentico who was on the outside. The referee is distracted and Luther with a hige Boot on Isom. Back in the ring, Angelico takes down CB and locks in a Leg Vine. CB is forced to tap out.

NJPW World Television Title: Zack Sabre Jr.(c) VS AR Fox


The first 10 minutes of the match saw tons of back and forth action that saw AR Fox almost picking up the win. Through the first half, AR Fox worked over Fox’s arm and Fox used his speed to repeatedly get out of Sabre’s joint manipulation. Let’s fast forward to the 10-minute point and AR Fox has Sabre down. Fox to the top rope and is ready for a slash but Sabre, with his veteran wit, rolls to the outside. They end up back in the ring and Fox get Sabre back down on the mat. Fox goes for a450 splash but Sabre avoids it and puts Fox in a European Clutch. This almost ended the match. Sabre is now in full control and kicks the legs of Fox to keep him on the ground. Sabre now locks in a Napalm Death Submission and Fox is forced to give up.

Winner: AND STILL NJPW World TV Champion; Zack Sabre Jr.

After the match, Dasha interviewed Sabre. Sabre said he has the chance to make history as the first NJPW World TV champ. He declared himself the best champion in wrestling, and the most active TV Champion in wrestling. This made the ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe come out. He is not happy with what Sabre just said. He offers to fight Sabre right now, but Matt Sydal and Christopher Daniels come out. Daniels said he has done it all but its time for Sydal to win some gold. Sabre eventually challenges Daniels and Sydal to a Tag Match, with a NJPW World TV Title shot on the line for Sydal and Daniels if they won.


The Gates Of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) (w/Prince Nana) VS Dalton Castle & Boy Brandon


Boy Brandon was rag doll’d all around the ring. Brandon with a Low Flatliner on on Kaun. Brandon continued to beat op on Kaun. Kaun finally had enough and overpowers Brandon and tosses him to the ropes. Liona with a boot to Brandon. Brandon continues to take a beating. Liona in the ring and he is still tossing Brandon around. Liona to the top rope and umps off for a splash, but Brandon catches Liona in the little Liona with his knees giving him the chance to tag Castle in. Castle with the hot tag and he cleans up. Liona is in the corner and both Castle and Brandon with tons of Splashes on him. Liona kicks Brandon and hits a dive on him. Kaun and Castle are battling it out. Kaun with a Gutbuster on Castle. Liona and Kaun now double team Brandon and hit a Double Facebuster for the win.

Shane Taylor & The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) VS Midnight Heat (Eddie Pearl & Ricky Gibson) & Schaff


This was a quick match that saw Shane Taylor and The Workhorsemen get the win after the Workehorsemen clear the ring of Pearl and Gibson leaving Taylor to hit a Package Piledriver on Schaff for the pin.

Winners: Shane Taylor & The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake)


Backstage, Dasha is with Vincent and Dutch. Stu Grayson makes an appearance and he questions The Righteous about why they are screwing with him. Vincent says that The Dark Order is holding him back. The Dark Order comes in and all the men go their ways but Grayson seems interested in what Vincent is saying…


Ashley D’Amboise VS Mercedes Martinez


Here was another match before the main event. D’Amboise counters a Fisherman’s Suplex with a roollup for a close pinfall attempt. D’Amboise now punching Martinez sending her to the ropes. D’Amboise with a Burning Hammer for another close nearfall. The match closed out shortly after this as Martinez takes down D’Amboise and hits a Curb Stomp followed by a Dragon Sleeper for the win.

Winner: Mercedez Martinez


Fight Without Honor: Action Andretti & Darius Martin VS The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) (w/Maria Kanellis-Bennett)


The fight started off and quickly as Martin jumps The Kingdom during their entrance. The weapons are out! They end up in the ring and Bennett eats a double dropkick with chairs. Taven gets a Drop-Toe-Hold on onto the chair. Martin launches off Taven and hits a Dropkick to Bennett. Andretti and Martin are ready to bat Bennett with weapons but Maria stand in front of them allowing Taven to kick a ladder onto them. Martin is now on the apron and Maria hits a Low Blow. Bennet quickly takes advantage and hits him with a chair. Bennett with Spinebuster to Andretti on a Garbage Can. The Kingdom are now bringing in more weapons to the ring.

The Kingdom set up a Doomsday Device but Martin moved out of  the way and Taven takes Bennett out. Andretti with an Arabian Press to both Kingdom members. Shortly after this, Taven with a chair to Martin’s back. The Kingdom with a Hail Mary to Martin on a bunch of chairs they set up. Andretti is fighting back and hits a Bulldog with Taven. Andretti was about to be hit with a Proton Pack but he fights off Taven and hits a Bulldog. Andretti places Taven on a table and hits a 450 Splash. Andretti wasn’t done as he Suplexes Taven through a table and the match was just about done if it wasn’t for Bennett making the save. Bennett and Andretti are punching the living daylights out of each other. Bennett wins this round as he spears Andretti through a table. Martin is slowly coming back and ready to fight back but Taven with a Purple Thunder for a nearfall.

Andretti and Martin are now at ringside. Maria with a pipe to Martin and holds him as Bennett chops the daylights out of him. Bennett with a Forearm but Martin moved out of the way and clobbers Maria. Martin and Andretti  are now back in the match and smacked Taven down on the chair. They hit Bennett with a Doomsday Device off of the ladder and get the win!

Winners: Action Andretti & Darius Martin

After the match, The Kingdom were slow to get up and offered the a handshake to Martin and Andretti. The Code of Honor was adhered to to end the show.

ROH TV: May 18, 2023

Once again, if this show was an hour long TV show with a focused card it would be an incredible show. There is too much YouTube Dark and Elevation level matches that make the show drag on. The matches that add to the overall stories are great but everything else is 1992 Superstars.
