We have hit that detour in the Road to WrestleMania. Will the happenings at the Chamber show have an impact on the Showcase of the Immortals? Here are our predictions for today’s big event.
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory vs. Riddle vs. AJ Styles – Elimination Chamber, WWE Championship match
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Brock Lesnar : -105 | Brock Lesnar |
Matthew Byer | Unless Roman Reigns interferes Brock Lesnar will win the Elimination Chamber match and walk out WWE Champion. However, if there is the aforementioned interference it opens up some interesting possibilities as to who the winner might be. Thus, if there is no interference by the Head of the Table the winner will be Lesnar, but if there is interference I’ll go with Rollins becoming WWE Champion. | Seth Rollins |
John Powell | This could be a tricky one. It would be great to see AJ Styles versus Seth Rollins at WrestleMania but then what does the WWE do with Bobby Lashley? I suspect we will see either a phenomenal Chamber or WrestleMania. | AJ Styles |
Bob Kapur | The biggest possible WrestleMania match is a title unification match, and the biggest names to be in that would be Brock and Roman. Which is why I see Brock taking this one. | Brock Lesnar |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winner: Bobby Lashley. Why?: He won the first time versus Lesnar and I truly believe he can do it again. If I’m wrong, I know he did his best. | Bobby Lashley |
Alex Podgorski | Rumor has it that WWE wants to do a title vs. title match at WrestleMania, and while most people favor Lesnar winning, I would rather the champion retain here. Reigns vs. Lashley is a much fresher match-up, especially since Reigns vs. Lesnar has been done before. It’ll be something relatively new and exciting, especially since the last two Reigns/Lesnar WM matches weren’t all that great. | Bobby Lashley |
Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Doudrop vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Alexa Bliss – Elimination Chamber Match
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Bianca Belair : -200 | Bianca Belair |
Matthew Byer | My hope is that it will be Bayley who is the surprise entrant in some way and wins as that would be the most interesting result. Otherwise the most likely winner is Belair. | Bianca Belair |
John Powell | Come on. Seriously? After such an unfinished storyline, angle? | Bianca Belair |
Bob Kapur | My heart goes with Rhea Ripley, who I think has the potential to be the biggest female star in the company if given the chance. My head, though, tells me that Alexa Bliss wouldn’t have been given weeks of TV segments only to lose her first match back. | Alexa Bliss |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi |
Winner: Alexa Bliss. Why?: I think Bliss is pretty talented. Her recent look is inspired by Harley Quinn and anyone who likes Quinn is great with me.
|
Alexa Bliss |
Alex Podgorski | While WWE usually doesn’t do long-term storyline, this match might prove to be the exception. There’s a ready-made story here in the form of Lynch vs. Belair, with Belair looking to avenge the misfortune of SummerSlam 2021. Not only did she lose, but she was humiliated. Winning here would at least let her get revenge on Lynch at WrestleMania and put that terrible episode behind her. | Bianca Belair |
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lita – WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Becky Lynch: -1500 | Becky Lynch |
Matthew Byer | Since Lynch’s return at SummerSlam and becoming champion, her title reign has honestly been really dull. A large component of it has been the heel turn and the dominant booking wherein nothing has been done to build up her challengers as being credible threats. Lita though represents an opportunity to build up a true rivalry that could go all the way to WrestleMania. As a former four time WWE Women’s Champion fans will certainly get behind Lita and believe she has a chance to dethrone Big Time Becks. Still will Vince McMahon pull the trigger and have Lita crowned the new RAW Women’s Champion? Sadly as much as I would like to say ‘yes’ instead Lynch will win and go on to WrestleMania to face the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match. | Becky Lynch |
John Powell | It would be absolutely fantastic if the inspirational Lita carried the belt into Mania and I think she just might as it is too tempting for the WWE to ignore? Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch and Lita for the title at WrestleMania? That would be cool except it doesn’t seem like the WWE has any plans for Lita beyond the Chamber. | Becky Lynch |
Bob Kapur | Well, I suppose putting Becky against a universally-loved Hall of Famer is one way to get the crowd to boo her. And they’ll boo even harder when she beats Lita. Which, really, is for the best. Lita winning might be a fun nostalgic moment – but with WrestleMania coming around the corner, they need to focus on the top current talent. | Becky Lynch |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi |
Winner: Lita. Why?: I’m giving this win to Lita because I could go both ways. My previous pick was Lynch when she went against Doudrop, so now I’m switching my hopes towards Lita. I want her to nab that title and for her to still be happy with her Hall of Fame status if she doesn’t win.
|
Lita |
Alex Podgorski | No one expects Lita to win here. This is just a feel good ‘I can still do this’ sort of run for her and nothing more. Lynch should beat her not only cleanly but quickly since she needs to look strong for her WrestleMania challenger. Winner: Lynch. | Becky Lynch |
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
Name | Prediction | Winners |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Drew McIntyre: -600. | Drew McIntyre |
Matthew Byer | Most will pick Drew McIntyre to win, but being the main feud is with Happy Corbin that probably won’t happen. Instead Corbin interferes helping Moss to win and McIntyre seeking revenge challenges Corbin to a match at WrestleMania. | Madcap Moss |
John Powell | Corbin will lend a hand and Moss will defeat Drew to set-up their WrestleMania match. | Madcap Moss |
Bob Kapur | The end-game for this one is to see Drew destroy Baron Corbin. One way to further this feud and up the stakes is to have Corbin cost Drew this match. Madcap Moss benefits by getting the win. Eventually, Moss beating Drew while Corbin can’t will lead to a split between the jolly twins. And that all starts here. | Madcap Moss |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winner: Madcap Moss. Why?: I’m letting fate really be in charge of this one regardless of my winner choice. I chose Moss because I like his name. | Madcap Moss |
Alex Podgorski | Moss is a sacrificial lamb to McIntyre, nothing more. McIntyre needs to get past him to get to Corbin to get revenge for both of them trying to end his career. To that end. McIntyre will likely carve through Moss like a not knife through butter, especially with all the objects he can throw Moss through/over thanks to the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation. | Drew McIntyre |
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Goldberg – WWE Universal Championship Match
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Roman Reigns: -1500 | Roman Reigns |
Matthew Byer |
It has been widely reported that this is the last match under Goldberg’s current contract. As a result everyone is predicting Roman Reigns triumphing in fairly predictable fashion. However, if the desire is to increase SmackDown’s ratings, having Goldberg win at Elimination Chamber, and lose a rematch on an episode of SmackDown would do it. Still I’ll go with the Head of the Table retaining. |
Roman Reigns |
John Powell | Goldberg is the latest icon to get fed to Roman Reigns. | Roman Reigns |
Bob Kapur | Like I said above, the money match at Mania is Roman vs. Goldberg, so that means Roman has to win here. Being that this is apparently Goldberg’s last match on his current contract, it wouldn’t make much sense for him to win here. | Roman Reigns |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winner: Roman Reigns. Why?: Most of the time I’m rooting for Reigns to win regardless of what happens. I’ve said it before he has that winning will power with or without being the one raising his hands in victory. | Roman Reigns |
Alex Podgorski | Once Reigns beats Goldberg, he’ll have beaten every single former Universal Champion. I predict that not only will he kick out of both a spear and Jackhammer with ease, but he’ll look even stronger than before by making the legendary Goldberg pass out to his guillotine chokehold. | Roman Reigns |
The Usos (c) vs. The Viking Raiders – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | The Usos: -500 | The Usos |
Matthew Byer | This should be a good tag team bout, but The Usos will retain to continue the dominance of The Bloodline and hold the SmackDown Tag Titles heading into WrestleMania. | The Usos |
John Powell | The Usos will continue to follow Roman’s lead with this Bloodline angle. | The Usos |
Bob Kapur | While I think the Usos should win, I could see them doing one babyface title win just as fan service for the Saudi bankrollers… I mean fans. | The Viking Raiders |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winners: The Usos. Why?: Jimmy and Jay, the Usos power twins. I’ve loved them since the first time I saw them wrestle when I was 13. They were amazing anytime they were on screen. | The Usos |
Alex Podgorski | The Usos are the longest-ever reigning Smackdown Tag Team Champions. I see no reason to end that reign so close to WrestleMania, especially when they can do something special at that event instead of something forgettable here. | The Usos |
Ronda Rousey and Naomi versus Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Ronda Rousey and Naomi: -300 | Ronda Rousey and Naomi |
Matthew Byer | While the team of Rousey and Naomi will win it will be Sonya Deville who taps out at the end of the match in order to protect Charlotte Flair heading into WrestleMania. | Ronda Rousey and Naomi |
John Powell | I don’t really have any interest in any of this or watching someone who despises wrestling fans like Rousey does. | Ronda Rousey and Naomi |
Bob Kapur | The stipulation that Ronda will have to wrestle with one hand behind her back (added on Smackdown) should make this an easy call. But of course that’s not how it’s going to go down. Naomi will finally give Sonya her comeuppance and get the win. But the bigger story will be post-match, where Ronda and Charlotte go at it, to further hype their Mania match. | Ronda Rousey and Naomi |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winners: Naomi & Ronda Rousey. Why?: I love my girl Naomi. I found her to be an ecstatic brawler when she used to be with Cameron but now as her solo self, I absolutely adore her. Mashed up with Rousey, who is a fierce wrestler, I’m in for a show! | Ronda Rousey and Naomi |
Alex Podgorski | If Rousey wins here, most people will think it a foregone conclusion that she’ll be winning at WrestleMania. If she loses, even if it’s thanks to the match stipulation, it’ll give some believability to the notion that a wrestler stands a chance against a part-timer from the world of MMA. Thus, to make people believe that Rousey’s ‘Mania match won’t be such a cakewalk for her, either she or Naomi will take the fall here. | Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville |
Name | Prediction | Winner |
---|---|---|
betonline.ag | Rey Mysterio: -200 | Rey Mysterio |
John Powell | No idea where this is going. Probably nowhere as the WWE has no idea what to do with The Miz. | The Miz |
Bob Kapur | With Rey being on the cover of the new video game, he has to win this one. Ultimately, I want this feud to lead to Miz and Maryse vs. Rey and Dominik, possibly with some kind of stipulation – Rey’s mask against Maryse’s hair, maybe? | Rey Mysterio |
Shelby-Liza Ndumbi | Winner: Rey Mysterio. Why?: This is the match I’ve been waiting to choose for. I have loved Mysterio since I was little. He was one of the smaller wrestlers I’ve encountered, aside from Daniel Bryan, but the best among the rest. I always enjoyed the 619 and him clacking someone in the face. It is hilarious to watch. He is my pick for sure. | Rey Mysterio |
Alex Podgorski | Miz just lost to Edge and this’ll likely be his chance to ‘get his heat back’ to prepare for some big match with Rey at Mania. Winner: Miz | The Miz |
