For the record, Michael Hutter is not related to former TNA owner Dixie Carter, but wasn’t that a star-making gimmick? After never really catching on in WWE developmental as Derrick Bateman — not without lack of trying — he took the ball and ran with the Ethan Carter III role. Eventually, that morphed into the even more egotistical-sounding EC3.
