NJPW star El Phantasmo has revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
Earlier today, NJPW made this announcement:
“EL Phantasmo, who was scheduled to wrestle this week on the Super Jr. Tag League Tour and at Power Struggle November 4, will be taking indefinite leave due to a health concern.
We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Phantasmo wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.
The following changes have been made to forthcoming cards:

El Phantasmo himself explained the situation on social media. He said that through various scans it was discovered that he has “a little tumour of cancer”.
“Believe me I am in good spirits and not worried or scared,” he wrote explaining that he has “amazing family, friends and fans” at his side and “the support of warriors who have gone through the same thing.”
He asked that his friend Chris Bey needs the prayers more than him. TNA’s Bey was severely injured at TV tapings over the weekend.
