Greetings and salutations! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means? It’s time for a new episode of AEW Dynamite emanating from the Chartwat Arena. We are a mere 11 days from All In at Wembley and things are starting to get spicy. On this weeks episode of Dynamite we have Swerve Strickland vs. Wheeler Yuta, Hangman Page vs. Jay Lethal, Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Hikaru Shida for the TBS Championship, The Young Bucks vs. The Acclaimed for the AEW World Tag-Team Championship and so much more! So without further ado,  let’s get to it!

The show kicks off with some TBS Championship action….

TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (W/ Kamille) (c) VS Hikaru Shida

We start things off right away and the two lock up and go back and forth.Shida backs Mone right into the ropes and hits a move, then charges at Mone, but Mone moves and gets Shida in a cross-face on the mat. Shida escapes and hits a series of strikes on Mone, then follows it up with a Hurricanrana. Mone eventually rolls out of the ring and consults with Kamille at ringside.

As Shida controls the match, Mone rolls out of the ring again and Shida follows her. Once both women are outside, Kamille steps up and stand between Shida and Mone. With Kamille’s distraction, Mone hits a Meteora off the ring apron to Shida on the floor. Back in the ring, Mone knocks Shida down and connects with another Meteora.

Mone hits a Three Amigos series of suplexes on Shida, but isn’t able to hit the third one. Shida counters and hits a Falcon Arrow for a 2-count. Shida looks for her finisher, but Kamille pulls Mone out to the floor to save her.

Shida hits Kamille with a dropkick and blasts her with a Kendo stick. Mone is able to distract the ref and  Kamille decks Shida from behind. Mone drags a lifeless Shida into the ring and connects with her Mone-Maker for the pin fall victory.

Winner: and STILL TBS Champion: Mercedes Mone

After the match, Kamille and Mone are celebrating in the ring when Britt Baker’s theme hits. Kamille heads up the ramp to meet her, but no one comes out. Kamille sees someone with a mask int he crowd and attacks them. Baker runs into the ring from behind Mone and beats her down. Baker is looking for the LockJaw, but Kamille grabs Mone out of the ring.Baker and Mone stare eachother down as the heels flee.

Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett are backstage. Lethal and Jarrett start running down Hangman Page who rushes in and attacks both men. Page drags Lethal to the ring for the next match.

Hangman Page VS Jay Lethal

Hangman controls the early stages of the match, btu Lethal comes back and knocks Hangman out to the floor and hits several Tope Suicida dives through the ropes. The two fight on the apron and Hangman hits a Dead Eye on the apron which sends Lethal back on the floor. On the floor, Hangman bounces Lethal into the steps and over the barricade.

Back in the ring, Hangman hits a Death Valley Driver for a 2-count. Lethal takes over the match and goes for a number of roll-ups.  Page goes for a Dead Eye, but Lethal avoids it and counters with a figure-four leg lock. Hangman gouges Lethal’s eyes to escape. Hangman with a hard shot and hits a vicious Buckshot Lariat for the win.

Winner: Hangman Page

They air highlights from the recent RevPro event where MJF defended the AEW American Championship against Michael Oku. Will Ospreay saved Oku and his wife following the match from Friedman. We then get a video package for the match between Ospreay and MJF at All In.

PAC is backstage and reminds everyone that he is the number one contender for the AEW American Championship. He says Ospreay went to Tony Khan and took his spot at All In, but at All Out he will face the winner of the Ospreay/MJF match.

A video package plays, hyping the AEW TNT Championship match between Darby Allin and Jack Perry at All In.

Darby Allin Attacked…

Darby Allin comes out for his match but is attacked by Jack Perry. Perry dragged Allin backstage. Perry puts Allin under the garage door and tries to run a production case into Allin’s head but is stopped by security. Perry says he wants to beat Darby at his own game at All In and challenges him to a coffin match.

A film by Mariah May debuts. This is ultimately a promo hyping her match against Toni Storm at All In.

Mina Shirakawa is backstage. Mina says she hasn’t spoken to anyone since Forbidden Door and she is heartbroken by what has happened. Shirakawa can’t believe Toni and Mariah are the same people. Mina says she hopes no one gets seriously hurt at AEW All In.

AEW ALL IN Casino Gauntlet No. 1 Spot: Orange Cassidy VS Roderick Strong VS Kyle O’Reilly

Strong comes back after Cassidy started the match in control. Cassidy starts fighting back and re-takes control of the match. Unfortunately, The Undisputed Kingdom duo of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett run out with a steel chair. They set up the chair in the ring and look to takeout Cassidy and O’Reily, but Mark Briscoe and Tomohiro Ishii come out and take out The Undisputed Kingdom.

Cassidy retains his control of the match and eventually takes a breather on the chair that was set up earlier.  Strong and O’Reilly hit a double-team spot on him. Cassidy rolls up O’Reilly while he’s setting up the armbar on Strong and gets the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

Kazuchika Okada and Claudio Castagnoli are backstage. Castagnoli says the Continental Championship means a lot to him because he believes it was his tournament to win. Castagnoli is excited to face Okada next week during the first Dynamite in Europe. Okada says he’s the champion, not him and proclaims that he is the greatest tournament wrestler of all time. Okada wishes Castagnoli luck by saying “good luck, bitch”.

Castagnoli says he hopes he doesn’t get this version of Okada next week as he  wants The Rainmaker. Claudio says he’s gonna bring his best next week.

The Patriarchy are backstage as Christian Cage claims he called the match on AEW Collision right down the middle and neither team could answer the count of ten. Cage promises to hold every single title in AEW at the same time.

HOOK Speaks…

Tony Schiavone is with HOOK. HOOK says he can’t see out his one eye but he can see just fine with the other one and he says he wants his title back and wants to fight Chris Jericho right now.

Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith come out on the stage and Jericho says HOOK is a stupid son of a bitch. Jericho says he’s not fighting HOOK tonight because it’s not worth his time. Jericho then says it would be worth his time to fight HOOK at Wembley Stadium at All In.  Chris Jericho says this will be HOOK’s final chance for the FTW Championship at All In.

Jericho says HOOK also has to face Big Bill next week on Dynamite. Bill says he’s gonna beat HOOK down and shove him up Taz’s ass. HOOK accepts and says he’s going to tear Jericho limb from limb at All In.

The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Acclaimed

“Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn shows up as Bowens takes control of the match. Caster comes in and the two hit a double back-elbow to Matthew before delivering a hip-toss to Nicholas sending him over the ropes. Nicholas tags in and he and Matthew do some double-team moves on The Acclaimed.

After a commercial break, The Acclaimed was back in control of the match. The Acclaimed did a long “Scissor me timbers” spot off the ropes, that The Young Bucks took control after. “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn is eyeing to use a chair on Nicholas Jackson at ringside, so he ejects him. Matthew Jackson works over Caster in the ring as the Bucks control the match. The Bucks look for a Super kick party, but The Acclaimed avoid it. Matthew grabs the title and is looking to hit Caster with it but FTR run out and end up attacking the Bucks and forcing the referee to throw the match out.

No Contest

FTR and The Acclaimed get in each other’s faces as “Daddy Ass” and several AEW officials run out to keep things from exploding. The Young Bucks walk off with smirks.

Christopher Daniels is backstage with Renee Paquette. Daniels says FTR will face The Acclaimed at Collision on Saturday and the winner will go on to face The Young Bucks for the titles at All In.

A video package plays for Bryan Danielson to the song “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day.

Swerve Strickland VS Wheeler Yuta

Bryan Danielson is in the front row to watch the main event. Yuta tries to attack Swerve, but Swerve avoids it and gets the upperhand. Swerve locks Yuta in a Submission move, but Yuta finally breaks free and gets in his first real offense of the math as he holds onto the hands of Swerve and stomps away Danielson-style. Yuta knocks Swerve out to ringside and then hit a dive ontohim.

Back in the ring, Yuta continues his offense until Serve counters it and locks a LeBelle Lock. Yuta escapes and counters into a standing ankle lock. Swerve escapes. Swerve goes for a Rock Bottom/Book End-esque move, but Yuta counters it and begins to Elbow the bejesus out of Swerve. Yuta hits a German Suplex and he attempts a second one, but Swerve elbows out of it.

Yuta with a huge hit, but Swerve comes right back and does a Joker-esque smile. Swerve hits two House Calls as Danielson is shown watching nervously. Swerve hits yet another House Call on Yuta and then holds Yuta’s hands and stomps the hell out of him. The referee calls the match.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Bryan Danielson hits the ring and Strickland rushes out. Strickland grabs a mic and says that was just an example of what he’s going to do to Danielson at All In and that he hopes Danielson’s daughter is at ringside in London to watch her dad’s last match as he gets crippled.  While Danielson checks on Yuta, Swerve runs back out and hits Danielson with the House Call. To end the show, Strickland does a joke Yes Chant…..
