The black and gold brand is soldiering on with another In Your House Takeover event. Here are our predictions and prognostications.
Karrion Kross (champion) versus Kyle O’Reilly versus Adam Cole versus Johnny versus Pete Dunne – Fatal 5-Way for the NXT Championship

Why does this mess of a match even exist? All of these combatants should be in singles matches at the cost of scrubbing other bouts on this card. For me, Kross has been a disappointment in the way he has been booked. He is just Big Guy Number 12433. Having said that, I cannot see him losing the belt after he was injured and took awhile to return and reclaim the gold. Winner: Karrion Kross.

While this match should be good in the ring, I’m not sure it works for me from a storyline standpoint. Specifically the inclusion of Gargano who seems to have been crowbarred in, and I would also have preferred seeing Cole vs. O’Reilly in a rematch from Stand and Deliver. Kross just won the title back, so it doesn’t seem logical to take it off of him so soon. Winner: Karrion Kross
Cameron Grimes versus LA Knight – Ladder match for the Million Dollar Championship
John Powell
Editor-in-Chief
NXT may be barely treading water these days but this angle is one of the best they have ever done. The Million Dollar Man will probably pass the torch to Grimes but it will be a rocky, long road to get there. Winner: LA Knight.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Cameron Grimes in the past, but he’s really turned the corner with me since starting his Jed Clampett-esque gimmick. With the reaction he’s been getting, he’s become one of the most popular characters on the roster. I see a double-turn happening, with DiBiase first screwing over Grimes and giving Knight hte win. But then LA Knight turns heel on DiBiase who is saved by Grimes and they join forces. Winner: LA Knight
Mercedes Martinez versus Xia Li
John Powell

This will be the most brutal match on the card as they two are as tough as two dollar steaks…as JR is fond of saying. No matter who wins strong style will prevail. Winner: Xia Li.

After all the martial arts vignettes and the elaborate entrances, it would seem all for naught if Xia Li didn’t win here. As good as Martinez is, I could see her dropping the match, and then showing up on RAW on Monday – with her new manager, Eva. Winner: Xia Li
Raquel González (champion) versus Ember Moon – NXT Women’s Championship Match
John Powell
Editor-in-Chief
Not feeling Raquel González no matter how she is presented or pushed. I would rather have Moon, Martinez or Blackheart as champion. Those three could really elevate the championship in NXT. Winner: Raquel González

This seems like more of the beginning of a feud between Moon and Gonzalez, which they’ll do while they await the return of Shotzi Blackheart from injury. I don’t see it beginning with a title change. I think Dakota Kai gets involved, leading to Moon winning the match, but not the title. Winner: Ember Moon
Bronson Reed (North American Champion) and MSK (Tag Team Champions) versus Legado del Fantasma and Raúl Mendoza – Winner Takes All Six-man Tag Team match for the NXT North American Championship and NXT Tag Team Championships
John Powell
Editor-in-Chief
Because there is no way they are taking the belt off Bronson just yet there is no way the luchas are winning. Winners: MSK and Bronson Reed

This should be a fun one. If all of the titles weren’t on the line, I think this would be a slam dunk for Legado del Fantasma. But I don’t think they’ll take the title off of Reed so soon, and so that means he and MSK pull out the win. Winners: MSK and Bronson Reed
