Jun 29, 2016: Mundo cheats Fenix in Ultima Lucha preview

Tonight on Lucha Underground, with only a week before Ultima Lucha Dos, Johnny Mundo and Fenix go head-to-head in the main event before they join their teams in a match for the Trios championships! Will Mundo or Fenix gain momentum for their team? Plus, Mil Muertes hunts the hunter to kick off the show as he takes on King Cuerno. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

The announce team reveals a Lucha Underground Trios Championship match between champions Johnny Mundo, PJ Black, and Jack Evans against challengers Drago, Fenix, and Aero Star.

King Cuerno vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina)

Cuerno runs away from Muertes inside and out. Muertes takes Cuerno down for ground and pound. Stomp below the belt by Muertes and he works Cuerno in the corner. Lariat nearfall by Muertes. Cuerno chops Muertes and Muertes lands a chokeslam for a nearfall once again. Cuerno fights up and sends Muertes out with a clothesline. Arrow from the Depths of Hell suicide dive connects outside and takes out Muertes and the referee. Cuerno brings a chair in and hits Muertes over the head. Muertes stares at him and drops him with a right hand. Muertes lodges the chair in the corner and looks to tackle Cuerno. Cuerno sidesteps and Muertes tackles the chair. Cuerno rolls him up with his hand and foot on the ropes.

Ivelisse and Taya in the office of Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto. Cueto thanks them for being here and he says Taya has proved herself in The Temple by taking on all challengers. Cueto says Ivelisse is a former Trios champion and Taya said she had two men to do the heavy lifting. Cueto stops the arguing and says the two will face each other at Ultima Lucha Dos to prove who is really “the baddest b***h in the building.”

Catrina walks into the office and Ivelisse says that she hasn’t forgotten about her. Catrina comes in and says her and Mil Muertes want a rematch against King Cuerno. Cueto says that her and Muertes took over The Temple and attacked his brother, so she can’t come into his office and make demands. Catrina demands a deathmatch and Cueto says he hates her, but she knows the right things to say and he books it.

Prince Puma and El Dragon Aztecs Jr. make their way out for a match.

Prince Puma vs. El Dragon Azteca Jr. (w/Rey Mysterio)

Puma with a chop off the lock-up. Puma and Dragon exchange reversals and counters to a stalemate. Arm drags exchanged for another stalemate and they shake hands. Puma refuses to let go and Dragon chops him. Puma moves outside and pops Dragon up on the apron. Dragon with a dropkick through the ropes. Suicide dive caught and Puma darts Dragon into the ring post. Puma works Dragon in the corner and misses a splash. Springboard hurricanrana by Dragon followed by a dropkick. Puma crotched on the top rope and he lands a hurricanrana for a nearfall. Forearms exchanged and Puma pops Dragon up. Dragon comes down with a tornado DDT for a nearfall. Dragon kicks Puma away in the corner and Puma pulls him down off the top for a Blue Thunder Bomb. Northern Lights suplex and brainbuster get Puma a nearfall and he looks for the 630. Dragon meets him up top and wheelbarrows himself into landing a sunset flip bomb for a nearfall. Dragon misses off the top and Puma with a belly-to-belly suplex in the corner. Axe kick to the back of the head lands and Puma with a spin-out Michinoku Driver, but Dragon kicks out. Dropkick into the corner and Puma lands the 630 Senton.

Winner by pinfall: Prince Puma

Post-match, Mysterio checks on Dragon Azteca and him and Puma get into a face-off.

Dario Cueto in the ring with Texano, The Mack, Cage, and Son of Havoc. Cueto said he feels like a kid on Christmas because it is his favorite time of the year with Ultima Lucha Dos coming up. Cueto has a present for the four wrestlers and he enters all four in a “Unique Opportunity Tournament” to kick off Ultima Lucha Dos. Cueto promises the best unique opportunity yet and says for them to prepare for next week. Cueto leaves the ring and tells them to get a head start. The four fight inside with Cage being the last man standing in the ring.

Fenix vs. Johnny Mundo (w/Taya)

Mundo flips the bird and shoves Fenix. Fenix with a chop and a pinning predicament followed by a standing moonsault for another nearfall. Mundo with a superkick and a running knee combo for a nearfall. Fenix gets stomped down in the corners as Mundo looks to wear him down. Fenix switches position and chops Mundo in the corner. Mundo gets his boot up and lands a standing C4 for a nearfall. A spinebuster gets another and Mundo works Fenix against the ropes. Taya gets a few shots in as the referee is distracted and Mundo with a head kick outside with Fenix on the bottom rope. Mundo plays to the crowd with Taya and gets hit with a superkick as he tries a springboard. Fenix with a tope to take out Taya and Mundo. Fenix corners Mundo and lands a running knee. Springboard thrust kick by Fenix connects and he rolls into a sunset flip powerbomb on Mundo for a nearfall. Fenix goes up top and Taya holds the leg. Mundo with a head kick and a springboard corkscrew crossbody for a nearfall. End of the World misses and Fenix follows with a standing C4 off the top. Taya gets to the apron and distracts the referee. Fenix goes to get Taya off the apron and Mundo grabs his Trios title. Mundo lays Fenix out with a shot to the head.

Post-match, Taya and Mundo are joined by the rest of Lucha Underground Trios Champions Worldwide Underground. They attack Fenix and Aero Star and Drago come to make the save. Ivelisse soon follows and they clear the ring to end the show.


Jun 22, 2016: Puma and Mysterio set for Ultima Lucha

Tonight on Lucha Underground, owner Dario Cueto has to find new challengers for the Gift of the Gods Championship at Ultima Lucha Dos. Six Aztec Medallions on the line tonight for the right to fight for the title at Ultima Lucha Dos. Plus, Prince Puma speaks to the believers in The Temple! All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto talking to a new luchador in his office and he has heard that the new luchador is of the Jaguar tribe and one of the top rising stars in lucha libre. Cueto says six Aztec Medallions will be awarded tonight, but Cueto gives the new signing a medallion. The new luchador reveals himself as Night Claw and he says he will prove that he belongs at the top of Lucha Underground at Ultima Lucha Dos. Cueto asks Night Claw if he knows what happened to the Jaguar tribe and tells him that their overconfidence made them one of the first tribes to be defeated by the Gods.

Famous B introduces his client Mascarita Sagrada before the match. Kobra Moon watches from the balcony Daga from the top of the office.

Aztec Medallion Match: Daga vs. Mascarita Sagrada (w/Famous B & The Beautiful Brenda)

Daga tosses Sagrada around the ring for a nearfall and a suplex gets the same. One-legged dropkick by Daga gets another nearfall. Sagrada ducks the kick and lands a hurricanrana with a hook of the leg for a nearfall. Daga presses Sagrada up and he falls to the mat. Crossface applied by Daga.

Winner by submission: Daga

Famous B and The Beautiful Brenda raise their client up and Famous B with a superkick on Sagrada. Brenda looks shocked as B beats him with his shoe. Famous B says he will find a new client.

Cueto in his office and he says he has been meaning to have this talk for weeks. Cueto sees anger in the eyes and he tells Dragon Azteca Jr. that his brother did not kill anyone close to him. Cueto says Matanza is not a killer, but he is a giver of opportunities. Black Lotus is who Dragon Azteca is looking for and he says they will face each other at Ultima Lucha Dos for vengeance.

Marty “The Moth” Martinez holds off his teammates Kill Shot and El Sinestro de la Muerte before the match. Martinez says they are not that happy with him, but they have to be brothers in arms and he tells Kill Shot that he has loyalty to this three-man army. Martinez proves his loyalty by returning the dog tags as we break.

Trios Match for Aztec Medallions: Cortez Castro, Mr. Cisco, & Joey Ryan vs. Kill Shot, El Sinestro de la Muerte, & Marty “The Moth” Martinez

Martinez starts with Castro and they exchange position. Castro with a neckbreaker for a nearfall and Ryan tags in. Ryan and Martinez exchange the lollipop and Kill Shot smacks it out of the hand of Martinez. Kill Shot with chops and dropkicks that bring in Sinestro and Cisco. Shoulder tackle for a nearfall by Cisco and arm drags. Sinestro with forearms and Cisco comes back with a powerslam for a nearfall. Castro tripped up by Sinestro and Castro worked in the corner by Martinez, Kill Shot, and Sinestro. Castro fights off Martinez with a tornado DDT. Cisco in like a house of fire off the hot tag and a neckbreaker gets a nearfall that is broken by Sinestro. Ryan and Sinestro take each other out outside and The Crew send Martinez out. Kill Shot uses Castro as a springboard to take everyone out outside with a moonsault. Cisco teamed up on by Martinez and Kill Shot. Cisco with a reverse hurricanrana and Ryan stops the offense by The Crew and he lands a superkick on Sinestro. Ryan and Castro argue as Cisco is hit with stomps by Martinez and Kill Shot.

Aztec Medallion Match: Sexy Star & Mariposa vs. Taya & Ivelisse

Sexy starts with Taya and an arm drag from Taya lands first. Sexy returns with arm drags and a cloverleaf submission. Taya spins out and they continue the submission grappling to a stalemate. Ivelisse and Mariposa tagged in. Leg kicks from Ivelisse and a side headlock follows. Mariposa with a back suplex into the corner and a slam. Elbow drop nearfall by Mariposa and she works Ivelisse down with submissions. Ivelisse works her way up and fights out of a leglock. Taya tags herself in as Ivelisse works the comeback. Sexy tags herself in and Taya with a superkick. Sexy comes back with an arm drag off the top. Senton outside by Sexy and Mariposa throws Sexy away. Taya tossed into the chairs and Mariposa shoves Sexy down. Mariposa with a crossbody into the chairs and Ivelisse with a dive off the top to take out Mariposa. Taya and Sexy back inside and Taya works Sexy in the corners. Running knees in the corner get a nearfall for Taya. Sexy with a superkick out of the corner and a clothesline. DDT and victory roll get a nearfall for Sexy and Taya tags in Ivelisse. Chops exchanged and Ivelisse with a body kick. Magistral cradle gets Sexy a nearfall and Ivelisse with a small package to start a pinning predicament. Taya looks to catch Sexy and Sexy sidesteps the spear that takes out Ivelisse. Sexy and Taya fight as Mariposa lands a Celtic Cross. Mariposa throws Sexy on top of Ivelisse and knocks Taya to the apron.

Prince Puma makes his way out and he says he has been waiting to do this for a long time. Puma has been asked about Ultima Lucha Dos and Puma wants the match that the fans want to see. Puma says Konnan told him when he started training him that he could become the next Rey Mysterio. Puma says him and Mysterio were champions, but he began to think what he has to offer and if he could be the next Mysterio. Puma started wondering if he was even better and he has to know. Puma asks Mysterio if he will fight him at Ultima Lucha Dos.

Mysterio makes his way out and he wants to let Puma know that he was one of the pioneers who paved the road for talent like Puma. Mysterio respects Puma, but he needs to know that he is still a prince and Mysterio is “el rey.” Mysterio accepts the challenge to learn if he is still good enough.


Jun 15, 2016: Pentagon survives six for title shot

Tonight on Lucha Underground, six luchadores battle for a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Dos, but only one survives. Six to Survive determines who gets a match with “The Monster” Matanza Cueto on the final night of the three-part season finale! All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Lucha Underground Championship Contenders Six to Survive Match: King Cuerno vs. Ivelisse vs. Taya vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix vs. Johnny Mundo

Taya and Mundo team up early on Fenix and Pentagon. Ivelisse distracted by Taya and Mundo with Moonlight Drive for a nearfall. Spin-out uranage from Taya gets another nearfall and Fenix comes in to take out Taya and Mundo. Mundo wishboned and Pentagon off the top with a dropkick below the belt. Cuerno and Pentagon left and Cuerto lands a slam to send Pentagon out. Mundo with a corkscrew over the top and Ivelisse thrown on top of Mundo outside. Cuerno with a jumping superkick and a reverse hurricanrana on Fenix. Cuerno looks to finish Fenix and Mil Muertes makes his way out. Spear and punches followed by a powerbomb from Muertes. Mundo lands End of the World.

King Cuerno has been eliminated.

Taya and Mundo in control inside and Ivelisse comes in to take on Fenix as Pentagon drops Mundo and Taya outside. Fenix refuses to hit Ivelisse and Ivelisse drops him and Pentagon. Taya baits Ivelisse into a head kick from Mundo. Ivelisse fights out of the corner and sends Mundo out with a hurricanrana. Ivelisse with a kicks on Taya for a nearfall. Moonsault misses for Taya, but she comes back with a Northern Lights suplex and a double stomp on Ivelisse.

Ivelisse has been eliminated.

Pentagon lands Shattered Dreams on Taya and Mundo sent into the post by Fenix outside. Running dropkick outside by Fenix and Pentagon takes out Taya with kicks outside as well. Mundo sends Fenix into the barricade and Mundo calls Pentagon inside. Forearms exchanged and Taya hooks the leg outside for Mundo to land a superkick. Fenix takes out Mundo inside and Taya lands a hurricanrana off the top.on Fenix. Tornado DDT on Pentagon and the Northern Lights and double stomp combo get a nearfall on Fenix. Pentagon worked in the corner and Fenix gets hit with a running knee from Mundo for a nearfall. Taya and Mundo work Fenix and Pentagon in the corners and Fenix with a double stomp off the top. Package Piledriver from Pentagon lands inside on Taya.

Taya has been eliminated.

We return as Mundo looks after Taya at ringside and comes back in. Chop triangle in the middle of the ring and Fenix wins as Mundo flips him into a hurricanrana on Pentagon. Mundo with a spinebuster and knee on Fenix for a nearfall. Pentagon moves outside to the steps and Mundo with a gutwrench into a powerbomb for a nearfall on Fenix. Fenix moves outside and lands a headkick as Mundo tries a suicide dive. Pentagon with a tope over the top to take out Mundo and Fenix. Fenix and Pentagon exchange chops at ringside. Pentagon and Fenix exchange outside and Mundo lands a springboard corkscrew. Fenix taken inside and a standing corkscrew splash gets a nearfall for Mundo. Pentagon sent back to the floor and a standing C-4 gets another nearfall on Fenix. Top rope-assisted spinning neckbreaker lands for Mundo on Pentagon for a nearfall and Mundo wears both Fenix and Pentagon down. Pentagon and Fenix team up on Mundo and Fenix with a double stomp off the top to the back of the head. Pentagon wheelbarrows Fenix on top of Mundo.

Johnny Mundo has been eliminated.

Pentagon gets his handshake turned down and puts Fenix in the Haas of Pain. Submissions exchanged and Fenix with a cutter into the dragon sleeper. Fenix sends Pentagon out with a springboard arm drag and lands a tope outside for a nearfall. Fenix put across the top turnbuckle and Pentagon lands a running kick. Hurricanrana from Pentagon gets a nearfall and both slowly make their way to their feet. Pentagon up top and Fenix lands an uppercut. Springboard hurricanrana off the top unable to finish Pentagon. Fenix looks to finish and Pentagon works the comeback. Fenix drops Pentagon with a body kick and both go down. Fenix misses a double stomp off the top and Pentagon superkicks him off the apron. Canadian Destroyer by Pentagon lands on the floor. Pentagon looks for the Package Piledriver and Fenix able to counter into a vertebreaker for a nearfall. Punches and chops exchange from their knees and Pentagon lands a superkick. Pentagon off the top for another Canadian Destroyer and he lands the Package Piledriver to follow.

Post-match, Lucha Underground Champion Matanza and Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto make their way out and Pentagon says he will break every bone in both of the Cuetos’ bodies because he is Pentagon and he has zero fear.


Jun 8, 2016: Cueto calls for Six to Survive

Tonight on Lucha Underground, we are a few weeks from Ultima Lucha Dos and owner Dario Cueto needs a challenger for his brother and Lucha Underground Champion, Matanza! Enter Six to Survive to determine the challenger. Plus, PJ Black and Jack Evans take on Aerostar and Drago in a nunchaku match. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Black Lotus enters the office of Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto and informs him that El Dragon Azteca Jr. knows where Lucha Underground Champion Matanza is caged and he wants to kill him. Lotus wonders why she stopped him and tells Cueto he will have to answer to her and the Black Lotus Triad if he is lying about who killed her parents. Cueto says he is telling the truth and he wants Lotus to be a big part of Ultima Lucha Dos. Cueto gives her a match against El Dragon Azteca Jr. and says she can take his mask back to the Black Lotus Triad if she wins.

Striker informs us that two six-man teams will compete tonight and the winning team will face-off next week in an “Six to Survive” elimination match to determine the challenger for Matanza and the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Dos.

Marty “The Moth” Martinez takes the microphone from ring announcer Melissa Santos and calls for Killshot. Martinez hangs the dog tags in the corner and tells him to come out unless he went AWOL. Killshot sneaks up behind him.

Killshot tackles Martinez to the floor and lands a head kick to put Martinez into the ring post. Killshot gets rammed into the barricade and gets powerbombed against it. Killshot dragged to the announce team area and Martinez gets tossed into the table as the referee runs out on his count.

Double Countout

Martinez pushes the referee down outside and Killshot hits a running punt on the apron. Killshot gets his dog tags and Martinez sneaks up on him for a German suplex. Martinez gets away from Killshot with the dog tags in hand.

Cortez Castro in interrogation as LAPD Captain Vasquez looks on. Joey Ryan and Mr. Cisco come in and tell him not to make this any harder. Vasquez says she can put Castro away for a long time with the rap sheet he has. Vasquez asks him to wear a wire and Castro says “hell no!” Castro calls them back after they head to the door and asks what they want him to catch him for. Vasquez says aside from drug trafficking and money smuggling, she thinks Dario Cueto is the linchpin for the “End of Days.” Castro looks confused as we head back to The Temple.

Lucha Underground Champion Jack Evans shows Melissa Santos how his introduction is done before he teams up with “The Darewolf” PJ Black against Drago and Aerostar in a nunchaku match after the break.

Nunchaku Match: “The Darewolf” PJ Black & Jack Evans vs. Aerostar & Drago

Aerostar and Drago in control and Aerostar with a springboard corkscrew on the floor. Drago with a kick combo and neckbreaker on Evans. Aerostar and Drago team up on Evans. Guillotine choke on Black turns into a fisherman’s suplex on Drago. Evans and Black go for a pair of nunchaku with Evans on Black’s shoulders. Aerostar topples them coming off the bleachers and Aerostar and Drago take them inside. Suicide dive from Black followed by a springboard moonsault from Evans to take out the other team. The teams battle up the stairs to get a pair of nunchaku. Evans gets the first pair and they take turns with shots to the body. Drago and Black fight through the crowd and Drago gets a pair on top of one of the offices. Drago sends Black back to the bleachers with shots to the head and lands a senton in the bleachers. Aerostar gets a pair in the balcony and Evans dives over the crowd to take him out. They fight on top of Dario Cueto’s office and Evans drops the nunchaku. The crowd tosses them back up and Aerostar intercepts. Evans hangs off the ledge and Aerostar tries to crack the hands. Evans drops down on his partner to save himself and Aerostar with a crossbody off the office. Drago works Evans with the nunchaku inside and mists him before getting Dragon’s Lair.

The teams of Prince Puma, The Mack, Texano, Sexy Star, Son of Havoc, & Rey Mysterio and Fenix, Ivelisse, King Cuerno, Taya, Johnny Mundo, & Chavo Guerrero make their way out for the main event. Pentagon Jr. trails Guerrero in a wheelchair and Pentagon says Guerrero was the only one who helped him and supported, but now he will destroy him. Pentagon sends Guerrero into the ring post and lands a superkick. Pentagon breaks the arm in a cross armbreaker as we break.

Dario Cueto and Black Lotus make their way out of the office. Cueto says it is great to see Pentagon back in the Temple, especially after what Matanza did to him. Cueto says Guerrero caught a bad break, but he is about opportunities and giving the “Believers” in the Temple what they want. The crowd roars for Pentagon Jr. and Cueto tells Pentagon to think about his condition before joining the match. Pentagon reminds us who he is and reminds us he has “cero miedo.”

12 Man Tag: Prince Puma, The Mack, Texano, Sexy Star, Son of Havoc, & Rey Mysterio vs. Fenix, Ivelisse, King Cuerno, Taya, Johnny Mundo, & Pentagon Jr.

The two teams look to find the opening member and Sexy takes control by rolling Taya for a nearfall. Taya pulls Sexy down to the mat and they exchange submissions and position. Clothesline from Taya. Taya sent out and Sexy brings in Havoc. Tara fakes out Havoc and tags in Ivelisse with a palm to the head. The two shake hands and exchange in a pinning predicament. Pentagon tags himself back in and he faces Mack. Arm drag from Mack and he misses a splash in the corner. Kick to the midsection from Pentagon and he lands a lungblower. Chop from Pentagon and Mack comes back with a knee. Fenix in as Pentagon moves out and a superkick and a missile dropkick get a nearfall. Pounce from Mack on Fenix and hot tags made to Mysterio and Cuerno. Cuerno with a big boot for an immediate nearfall. Texano in after a Mysterio comeback and a leg lariat gets a nearfall on Cuerno. Arm drag and dropkick from Cuerno. Mundo in and he works Texano down. Mundo sat up top and Taya tries a distraction. Texano takes them out and Puma comes in. The teams exchange ring exits and Cuerno lands The Arrow From the Depths of Hell. Both teams exchange dives to the outside and Mack and Pentagon left inside. Chop battle stopped by a Pentagon kick. Mack with an exploder suplex and he lands a tope outside. Puma follows with one, followed by Fenix and Havoc. Mysterio calls for one and gets tripped outside by Mundo. Puma with a head kick on Mundo as he tries a dive and Mysterio with a 619. Mundo kicks Mysterio into Puma on the top and he gets crotched. Spanish Fly off the top lands on Puma.

Winners by pinfall: Johnny Mundo, Fenix, Ivelisse, King Cuerno, Taya, & Pentagon Jr.

The show closes with Catrina waking Mil Muertes from his coffin in King Cuerno’s trophy room.

Son of Havoc vs. Daga

Submissions exchanged between Havoc and Daga to start. Daga with a tackle and Havoc sends Daga out with a hurricanrana. Daga with a superkick outside and Havoc sends him into the post. Standing moonsault back inside gets Havoc a nearfall. Wheelbarrow flips Havoc into a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall. Running boot in the corner from Daga gets another and slam and elbow drop combo get a pin attempt. Half crab and a hammerlock locked in for Daga and Kobra Moon makes her way down to ringside. Havoc fights him off with a front suplex off the top and a Shooting Star Press lands.

Mysterio tells him to focus on their rematch for the Lucha Underground Trios Championship and says their master wouldn’t want him to seek revenge. Mysterio with wing chun to stop El Dragon Azteca from pushing him and Prince Puma comes in. Mysterio tells him to leave and again breaks out the wing chun, but Puma says it is his business since they have their match next.

Mysterio starts with Black and Black with a side headlock and shoulder tackle. Pinning predicament from Black sees Mysterio land a headkick and a spike hurricanrana. Black drops Mysterio and brings in Evans. Evans clears the opposite corner out and a triple-team back suplex and neckbreaker lands. Standing moonsault nearfall for Evans. Mundo in as Mysterio is worked down to prevent the tag. Backbreaker nearfall for Mundo and a powerbomb gets countered into a Mysterio DDT. Puma in on the hot tag against Evans. Evans and Black sent out on dropkicks and a corkscrew suplex lands. Black hit with a triple-team kick in the corner. Puma suicide dive into a kick from Black and dives to the outside exchanged. Evans with a dropkick to stop Mysterio from a dive and Puma with a superplex on Evans on top of everyone outside. 630 Splash misses for Puma, but Evans steals the finisher for a nearfall. Puma pops Evans up from a fireman’s carry into a Pele Kick. Dragon brought in like a house of fire on Mundo and a DDT gets a nearfall. Moonlight Drive blocked and Mundo and Dragon exchange go-behinds. Taya distracts the referee and Mundo with a mule kick below the belt. Puma gets in and stares Mundo down. Flip dive over the top followed by a moonsault off the top by Cage. Matanza bounced and powerbombed against the barricade. Cage pulls off the mat at ringside and Matanza slams the head of Cage against the barricade. Clothesline to the back of the head and gutwrenches from Matanza. Cage pulled into a German suplex on the floor by Matanza. Matanza with ground and pound and a standing moonsault lands on the knees of Cage. Cage with a neckbreaker nearfall. Cage catches a kick and clotheslines Guerrero before working him in the corner. Guerrero makes Cage chase him at ringside and stomps him coming in. Slingshot crossbody caught and Cage runs him into the barricades. Guerrero with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors back inside to send Cage out. Suicide dive and rope-assisted DDT get Guerrero a nearfall. Guerrero caught for a rolling senton slam and Cage misses a moonsault. Dropkick nearfall by Guerrero and he works the leg of Cage. Cage comes back with a deadlift suplex inside to put both down. Sit-out Alabama slam gets a nearfall for Cage and he looks to finish Guerrero. Guerrero counters to a tornado DDT for a nearfall. Cage rolls through on a sunset flip and a rolling Liger kick from Guerrero sees Cage come back with a discus lariat for a nearfall. Cage and Guerrero fight up top and Guerrero gets a sunset flip powerbomb. Frog Splash connects, but Cage kicks out. Two of Three Amigos land for Guerrero before Cage flips him into a powerbomb. Buckle bomb sets up the Drill Claw.

Fenix laid out in the gym and Black and Evans are upset because their partner in their Lucha Underground Trios Championship match is down. Mundo walks in and says they have a new partner. Evans and Black like the surprise and the team celebrates together.

Joey Ryan and Cortez Castro going through the desk of Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto. Castro says this isn’t the way they do things and Ryan says he wants evidence. They find a drawer with stacks of dollar bills and Mr. Cisco comes in to ask what they are doing. Cisco says he is going to have to go get Cueto and Ryan pulls a gun on him. Castro puts Cisco under arrest.

The main event competitors make their way out.

Lucha Underground Trios Championship: Dragon Azteca Jr., Rey Mysterio, & Prince Puma (c) vs. “The Darewolf” PJ Black, Jack Evans, & Johnny Mundo (w/Taya)

Evans starts with Dragon and lands a knee to the midsection. Evans dropped and he leaps up into a dropkick from Dragon. Evans worked in the corner and a headscissors from Dragon. Evans drops him on the top rope and Dragon comes back with a springboard dropkick to send Evans to the floor. Puma in with Black and Black with a kick to the midsection as Puma tries a handstand hurricanrana. Puma worked in the opponent corner as he is hung in the tree of woe. Nearfall for Mundo off a double-team back bodydrop and a standing moonsault gets Evans one of his own. Puma fights off Evans and Black as he sends them into each other. Hot tag to Mysterio against Mundo and a tilt-a-whirl headscissors bring Puma and Dragon in to work Mundo down. Puma knocked in the corner and Mundo with an exploder suplex on Dragon to squash both in the corner. Pop-up cutter gets Black a nearfall on Puma. The competitors take turns taking each other out to the floor and Evans and Black take out Puma inside. Evans runs into a kick in the corner and comes back with a cartwheel kick. 619 on Black and Puma with the 630. Mundo drags the referee out and Taya and Mundo take out Mysterio with a low blow. Low blows all around on the champions. End of the World lands, but Puma manages to kick out. Puma lands on his feet on a super German suplex and gets Dragon in. Taya distracts the referee with a chair and Evans breaks a sunset flip powerbomb pin with a chair to the back before rolling Mundo on top.

May 18, 2016: Guerrero gets a gift from the gods and Cage

Tonight on Lucha Underground, the Aztec medallions are turned in and a seven-way match in the main event determines the next Gift of the Gods Champion! Plus, Marty “The Moth” Martinez looks to continue his mind games as he takes on Killshot. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Cage comes into the office of Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto and tells him Chavo Guerrero stole his Aztec medallion and is hiding it from him. Cueto says that is Cage’s problem and he is kicking off the show with the medallion ceremony for the Gift of the Gods Championship match. Cueto says Guerrero becomes a part of the match once he turns in the medallion. Cage says he will have to go through him and they head to the ring.

We are on tape from Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, Calif. Matt Striker and Vampiro have the call for this week.

Cueto and Cage open the show. Cueto introduces the Gift of the Gods Championship and announces the seven-way match for the title tonight. Cueto invites out the winners of the Aztec medallions to insert the medallions into the belt. Texano, Joey Ryan, Siniestro de la Muerte, Aerostar, The Mack, and Sexy Star all place their medallions and Cueto says there is one more left that belonged to Cage. Chavo Guerrero comes out with a medallion and a chair. Cage charges him into the corner and stomps him down. Cage grabs the bag and it is a washer. Guerrero hits Cage with the chair and untapes the medallion to put in the belt. Cueto makes it official and Cage hits Guerrero with Weapon X.

Famous B takes over ring announcing duties from Melissa Santos to introduce his client Mascarita Sagrada.

Argenis vs. Daga vs. Kobra Moon vs. Mascarita Sagrada (w/Famous B & The Beautiful Brenda)

Sagrada dropkicks Kobra outside and Sagrada clears the ring out. Forearm from Kobra stops a Sagrada suicide dive and gets a nearfall. Michinoku driver from Kobra gets a nearfall. Kobra tries seducing Daga and gets tossed out. Argenis hit with a kick on the apron and he lands a springboard moonsault on Daga outside. Argenis breaks a nearfall and Sagrada grabs a cross armbreaker. Argenius lifts him with one arm and lands a Michinoku driver for a nearfall of his own. Daga locks in a Gory Special and Boston crab combo that gets broken by Sagrada. Daga and Argenis take each other out on the floor. Kobra with a sit-out Tombstone piledriver and she slithers away to let Daga cover.

Marty “The Moth” Martinez sneaks up on Killshot in the locker room and he saluts him. Martinez hopes the soldier is ready for battle tonight and Killshot takes him down. Martinez laughs and writhes on the floor and the two make their way out for introductions before their match.

Moth runs Killshot into the corner and throws him out. Killshot dropped on the top rope. Moth hit with a kick as he tries a suicide dive. Killshot with a moonsault over the top and he gets caught for a powerslam on the floor. Moth with a German suplex inside and an exploder suplex in the corner for a nearfall. Superkick from Killshot and he works the comeback. Cutter connects for a Killshot nearfall and a kick lands in the corner. Killshot pushed off the top and to the apron. The two fight back and forth until Killshot lands a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Both get inside with a second to spare in the referee’s count. Knee from Killshot lands and Moth comes back with a lariat. Stomp from Moth gets a nearfall. Corner senton from Moth caught and turned into the package piledriver for Killshot.

Post-match, Moth swings Killshot into the ring post and bounces him into the wall. Moth takes the dog tags from Killshot and stomps him coming off the top.

Seven-Way Match for the Gift of the Gods Championship: Texano vs. Joey Ryan vs. The Mack vs. Sinestro de la Muerte vs. Aerostar vs. Sexy Star vs. Chavo Guerrero

Dropkicks exchanged and Ryan left with Sexy. Sexy kicks the lollipop away and gets a backslide nearfall off the exchange. Guerrero stops Ryan from kissing Sexy and rolls her up for a nearfall himself. Sexy and Mack land headscissors at the same time. Texano takes Sexy to the floor and exchanges with Mack inside. Nearfall for Texano broken by Aerostar and Texano works him in the corner. Tornado DDT gets Aerostar a nearfall. Sinestro sideswipes Aerostar and Aerostar with a drope toehold on the second rope. Springboard back senton lands for Aerostar outside. Sexy pulls Ryan off the top and Sexy with a dive outside to leave Ryan and Mack in the ring. Pumphandle nearfall by Ryan and Sinestro gets a backstabber for one of his own. The participants rotate in and out and Mack with a slam. Guerrero comes in and lands a dropkick to drop Mack. Frog Splash lands on Ryan for a nearfall and all participants attack Guerrero. Cage comes in and stands over Guerrero. Cage clears the entire ring instead and lands a Falcon Arrow on Ryan. Cage drags Guerrero on top of Ryan.

Cage congratulates Guerrero on the win and Cage was told by Dario Cueto that Guerrero will defend the title against him next week.

Vampiro has Pentagon Jr. tied up and takes a kendo stick to him because he has to break Pentagon to make him stronger after being broken by Matanza. Vampiro says what he is about to do is nothing compared to what Matanza did and he swings a barbed wire bat to end the show.


May 12, 2016: Muertes reburied in Graver Consequences

Tonight on Lucha Underground, the two most powerful forces in The Temple collide in a match that could end it all. Matanza and Mil Muertes look to bury each other dead or alive in Graver Consequences for the Lucha Underground Championship! Plus, the Lucha Underground Trios Championship on the line. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Lucha Underground proprietor Dario Cueto in the bar and he pays off the representative of one of the backers The rep says Cueto has gotten sloppy and the police have opened an investigation on him and The Temple. The rep says they probably already have an insider and Cueto says he thinks he would know. The rep says his employer considers The Temple very important and he will be visiting soon. Cueto is surprised and the rep tells him to drink up.

Aztec Medallion Match: Mr. Cisco vs. Cortez Castro vs. Joey Ryan

Ryan takes control until The Crew teams up on him. Cisco and Castro exchange counters and Castro with a nearfall on a suplex. Ryan runs in and rolls Castro up with a handful of tights after Cisco gets tossed outside.

Catrina meets with Mil Muertes at his vigil and she says she has been waiting for this for 197 years as a “prisoner of darkness.” Catrina says Muertes roamed the underworld as a man and she brought him back from the dead more powerful. Catrina says she wants to lick the face of “The Monster” Matanza Cueto before he closes the coffin so she can make them immortal. King Cuerno walks into the vigil and touches the ground after the two leave.

Lucha Underground Trios Championship: Dragon Azteca, Rey Mysterio, & Prince Puma (c) vs. Ivelisse, Son of Havoc, & Johnny Mundo (w/Taya)

Azteca starts with Ivelisse. Azteca with a takedown and Ivelisse into an armlock. Pinning exchange and Havoc and Mysterio in. Standing moonsault gets a nearfall on Mysterio and Havoc rolled up for a nearfall. Stalemate between the two brings in Puma and Mundo. Puma sent out to the floor and Taya attacks him. Ivelisse breaks her away from Puma and Puma worked down inside. Havoc and Azteca in and they exchange strikes. Springboard cutter gets Havoc a nearfall and Ivelisse in. Ivelisse and Havoc work Azteca in their corner. Mysterio in after Azteca gets space and Mysterio looks for the 619. Ivelisse trips him up and they argue on the apron. Mysterio ducks and Mundo kicks Ivelisse. Azteca with a hurricanrana into the barricade and Havoc with a nearfall inside. 619 connects and Puma brought in for the 630 senton.

Muertes charges Matanza into the corner and works him with a choke. Matanza with a German suplex and clothesline. Muertes tossed outside and he bounces off a coffin. Matanza sets two coffins next to each other on the floor and clears out the fans. Catrina hits him on the back with a chair and Matanza stares her down. Muertes spears him into the chairs. Matanza comes back and powerbombs Muertes on top of the coffins. Matanza loosens the bottom turnbuckle and the two fight on the apron. Flatliner onto the trio of coffins by Muertes. Cueto grabs the leg of Muertes and Matanza makes the save to land gutwrenches. Muertes fights up and drops Matanza, but Matanza takes Muertes out with the turnbuckle. Matanza tears at the mask and continues to work Muertes with the turnbuckle. Muertes with a chokeslam on the coffin. Muertes gets a chain-link glove and lands right hands on Matanza. Matanza with a low blow and a lariat to the back of the head. Matanza tosses Muertes and a coffin out of the ring. Matanza tries to close a new coffin with Muertes in it and Muertes punches through the coffin with the chain-link glove. Muertes drops Matanza with a ring bell as Matanza props a coffin on the ring. Catrina slaps Cueto down as he lays over Matanza with the key. Matanza takes Catrina out with a chair and takes the stone. Catrina and the stone placed in a coffin. Muertes with a suicide dive and he pummels Matanza on the floor. Muertes brings the last new coffin into the ring and lands a powerslam on Matanza. Matanza in the casket and he blocks the lid from closing. Throat punch and a powerbomb on the coffin by Matanza. Wrath of the Gods into the coffin by Matanza.

Winner and STILL Lucha Underground Champion: Matanza Cueto

Cueto opens the coffin and Catrina is nowhere to be found. The Faces of Death take Muertes away and one of the faces unhoods himself to reveal himself as King Cuerno.

The representative meets with his employer in his limo and hands off the money. The rep told Cueto to prepare for his arrival and the rep believes Cueto thinks his brother is the most powerful man in The Temple, but the rep knows his boss is. The show closes with a lighter flickering.


May 5, 2016: Night of Aztec Medallions

Tonight on Lucha Underground, Aztec Medallions are on the line all night with a special “No Mas” main event as Sexy Star seeks revenge on Mariposa! Plus, The Mack looks to handle her brother Marty “The Moth” Martinez. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Recap of the past few weeks in Lucha Underground.

Dario Cueto looking through the panels of the ceiling of his office when Catrina comes in. Catrina says Mil Muertes almost destroyed his brother and Cueto believes the opposite. Catrina says it will take more than Lucha Underground Champion Matanza and fear to protect Cueto if he denies Muertes his rematch. Cueto says the power of his key is more than the power of Catrina’s key. Cueto says he will prove how unafraid he is and grants Muertes a rematch in his specialty. Matanza defends against Muertes in Grave Consequences and Cueto raises the stakes and makes it Graver Consequences with four caskets. Catrina says there will be no debate who destroyed who next week.

Aztec Medallion Match: Marty “The Moth” Martinez vs. The Mack

The Mack chases Moth to the apron and knocks him off. Flip dive over the top from Mack and a series of suplexes inside by Mack get a nearfall. Moth comes back with a dropkick and an exploder suplex into the corner for a nearfall. Mack fights up and works the comeback for a leg drop nearfall. Stunner from Mack followed by a TKO cutter.

King Cuerno in the locker room and Catrina tells him that Muertes got another shot at the Lucha Underground Championship, but she will not entrust Cuerno with the Gift of the Gods Championship this time because he will be facing her disciple, El Siniestro de la Muertes. Cuerno says Siniestro is his prey tonight and he won’t make the same mistake twice when he gets to cash in the Gift of the Gods Championship.

Sexy Star enters the office of Dario Cueto. Cueto says they may not have gotten along in the past, but he respects her. Cueto knows something bad happened to Sexy and he can see it in her eyes like he was able to see it in his brother’s eyes when their mother abused them as children. Cueto said it stopped when him and his brother stood up and Cueto wants Sexy to stand up against Mariposa tonight for an Aztec Medallion. Cueto books them in the first Lucha Underground “No Mas” match. Cueto tells Sexy to put the same fear into Mariposa after she makes her quit tonight.

Aztec Medallion Match: El Siniestro de la Muerte (w/Catrina) vs. King Cuerno

Cuerno drops Muerte in the corner with a dropkick and works him down for a nearfall. Cutter from Cuerno gets a nearfall and a hurricanrana sends Muerte out. Arrow from the Depths of Hell blocked as Catrina takes the stone to the head of Cuerno as the referee is distracted by Muerte getting back in. Springboard guillotine leg drop from Muerte.

Winner by pinfall: El Siniestro de la Muerte

Catrina gives Cuerno “The Lick of Death” and drops him with the stone again.

Famous B comes in as Mascarita Sagrada works out and informs him he has secured him a match against someone who was willing to put their Aztec Medallion on the line. Famous B says it will make Sagrada famous.

Chavo Guerrero comes into the office of Cueto and wants to know why he doesn’t have a match for an Aztec Medallion. Cueto says he hasn’t earned one and has blown a title match and lost twice in Aztec Warfare. Guerrero promises to seize an opportunity.

Aztec Medallion Match: Mascarita Sagrada (w/Famous B & The Beautiful Brenda) vs. Cage

Sagrada gets kicked away on a takedown attempt and Sagrada tilt-a-whirls into a rear naked choke. Cage tosses him off and gets a dropkick to the knee that bounces him off the turnbuckles. Sagrada comes off the top and gets caught by a fireman’s carry facebuster.

Mariposa with a takedown and she slams Sexy to the mat. Elbow drop and she grinds the face of Sexy into the mat. Sexy worked into the corners. Sexy with a drop toehold into the corner and bronco busters. Suplexes by Sexy and a single-leg crab applied. Mariposa able to kick out and apply a modified Indian deathlock. Sexy back bodydrops Mariposa outside and lands a senton off the apron. Mariposa works Sexy with a chair outside and works her against the barricade. Sexy sends Mariposa into the barricade and wishbones a chair between the legs. Sexy uses another chair to drive the chair below the belt on Mariposa. Mariposa fights out of a submission and drags her up the stairs. Submissions from Mariposa and she pulls at the mask of Sexy. The two fight up into the scaffolding. Sexy choked against the rail and she is busted open as the blood drips down onto the crowd below. Sexy gets space to move down the scaffold and onto the top of the office. The Moth creeps up there and rakes the face of Sexy across the rusted barricade. The Mack comes out and tosses Moth into the wall. Sexy and Mariposa fight down the bleachers and Mariposa swings Sexy into the announce table. Sexy comes back and hits Mariposa with the trashcan. Mariposa worked down and she fights back with a shot to the back and shots with the lid. Back inside, Butterfly Effect blocked, but Mariposa lands a clothesline. Cloverleaf applied and Sexy screams out “F*** YOU MARIPOSA!” Sexy gets a sleeper in and Moth saves Mariposa. Mack able to get Moth out and Sexy with a flying armbar.

Winner: Sexy Star

Post-match, Sexy tears at the arm and the referee gets thrown outside as Sexy continues with an armbar. Mariposa tossed out to the floor and Mack and Sexy celebrate in the ring.

Tonight on Lucha Underground, Ivelisse and Son of Havoc are left to defend the Trios titles in the main event without Angelico. Who wins the Trios Tournament four-way finals for the belts? Plus, Johnny Mundo gets Cage in a cage! All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Aztec Medallion Cage Match: Cage vs. Johnny Mundo (w/Taya)

Cage and Mundo exchange punches to start and Cage throws Mundo in the corner. Cage looks to wear Mundo down and prevents an escape. Dropkicks traded and Mundo sent into the cage over and over by Cage. Driver from Cage gets a nearfall and a crab locked in on the top rope. Cage crotched up top and Mundo drives him against the cage with knees and dropkicks. Mundo stopped on the escape and Taya takes her belt to the hands of Cage as he holds onto the top. Standing Spanish Fly from Mundo gets a nearfall off the top. Cage with a uranage as Mundo charges him in the corner. Moonlight Drive off the top gets Mundo a nearfall. Taya tries to get a kendo stick in and Cage powerbombs Mundo against the cage. Cage hit with the kendo stick by Taya as he tries to leave. Kendo stick tossed to Mundo and he beats Cage down with it for a nearfall. Cage comes back and breaks it working Mundo for a nearfall of his own. Discus lariat from Cage gets a nearfall and Taya climbs to the top to bring in a chair. Mundo cracks Cage with the chair and he still kicks out. End of the World off the top of the cage misses and Taya lands a crossbody off the top. Modified magic killer gets Cage down and Taya and Mundo cover. Cage still kicks out and they try to handcuff Cage to the ropes. Taya gets handcuffed and Cage with a sitout piledriver.

Ivelisse gets herself and Son of Havoc eliminated after Black turns a sunset flip powerbomb by her on Evans around with a thrust kick to allow Evans to get the pinfall. New Lucha Underground Trips Champions will be crowned with Evans, Black & Fenix and Azteca, Mysterio, & Puma remaining as we break.

Azteca and Fenix in as we return. Stomp to the back of the head gets Fenix a nearfall and the two exchange counters. Tornado DDT lands for Azteca and Fenix lands a tilt-a-whirl pop-up head kick. Puma in like a house of fire on Black and Evans. Puma goes up top and lands the 630. Mysterio comes in and Evans takes advantage punting Puma below the belt. Puma held in the corner by Fenix and Puma ducks away from a springboard kick and Fenix catches the kick from his partner. Puma gets the tag to Mysterio and Mysterio in like a house of fire. Azteca popped up by Puma to get the tornado DDT. Suicide dives in stereo connect for Puma and Azteca. Mysterio left with Evans inside and a split-legged moonsault lands out of the corner.

Apr 20, 2016: Muertes and Matanza tear the roof off

Tonight on Lucha Underground, two monsters collide for the Lucha Underground Championship as Matanza Cueto defends against Mil Muertes! Plus, the final match in the opening round of the Trios Tournament. All that and more on this week’s edtiion of Lucha Underground!

Fenix in the office of Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto. Cueto has an opportunity for Fenix and he is seated by Drago and Aerostar. Cueto says they were a team last year and they lost in the first round of the Trios Tournament when Drago and Aerostar couldn’t get along. Cueto says Fenix will team with “The Darewolf” PJ Black and Jack Evans against The Disciples of Death. Cueto then puts an Aztec Medallion between Aerostar and Drago.

Aztec Medallion Match: Aerostar vs. Drago

Counters exchanged into a pinning predicament to start. Drago arm drag and drop toehold from Aerostar. Armlock broken by Aerostar and they reset. Head kick from Drago off a springboard back elbow attempt by Aerostar. Springboard corkscrew out of the corner by Aerostar. Springboard arm drag from Drago and he lands a dropkick after Aerostar attempts a handshake. Drago sent into the ring post and Aerostar slips off the ropes on a springboard. Drago takes advantage and Aerostar comes back with a hurricanrana. Flip dive lands over the top on Drago and Drago comes back with one of his own. DDT nearfall by Drago and a springboard basement dropkick in the corner by Aerostar. Drago with a Gory Special flapjack for a nearfall. Aerostar with a springboard Codebreaker and a springboard splash.

Taya walks in on Johnny Mundo working out and she says she has news. Taya says she told Cueto to give Mundo an Aztec Medallion since he didn’t get to compete for one last year. Taya says Mundo gets a chance next week against Cage. Mundo says he has nothing to worry about since Taya will be with him, but Taya informs him it will be in a steel cage.

Trios Tournament First Round: “The Darewolf” PJ Black, Jack Evans, & Fenix vs. The Disciples of Death (w/Catrina)

Black and Trece start. Black with an arm drag and Evans blocks a tag from Fenix. Fenix gets in and Siniestro with a missile dropkick. Fenix with a springboard corkscrew outside and Black continues to work the arm. Evans in and he plays to the crowd too much as he gets wishboned below the belt on the ring post. The Disciples work on Black in their corner. Black rolls out and gets the tag to Fenix. Fenix with the house of fire offense off the hot tag and a nearfall. Siniestro runs into a superkick and a springboard dropkick converts for Fenix. Suplex nearfall for Fenix. Siniestro comes back with a superkick and a DDT gets a nearfall. Barrio Negro in and he works Fenix in the corner. Fenix fights out of the Disciple corner and Evans comes in like a house of fire. Evans talks too much with his partners and gets dropkicked. Fenix with a hurricanrana nearfall and Barrio Negro with a flapjack for a nearfall of his own. Frankensteiner by Fenix off the top and a springboard 450 gets Black a nearfall. Evans dives out and Fenix lands a springboard 450 of his own.

Cueto with Lucha Underground Trios Champions Ivelisse, Angelico, and Son of Havoc. Cueto says it is hard to believe the three hated each other last year when he teamed them up and Cueto says they are defending their titles in the finals of the tournament in a four-team elimination match.

Catrina with The Disciples of Death and she says they failed in their last chance to prove themselves to Mil Muertes. Catrina says it is worse that Fenix was the one to get the victory. Catrina asks why she shouldn’t destroy the three of them now and El Siniestro de la Muerte rips the hearts out of both of his partners as Catrina walks off.

Lucha Underground Championship: “The Monster” Matanza Cueto (c) (w/Dario Cueto) vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina)

Muertes and Matanza exchange punches and Muertes kicks Matanza in the midsection. Muertes clubs Matanza down and Matanza sends Muertes into the corner. Clothesline drops Muertes and Matanza works Muertes in the corner. Powerslam from Muertes and he mounts Matanaza for ground and pound. Matanza chokes Muertes from the bottom and moves him to the corner. Muertes with short-arm clotheslines in the corner. Matanza kicks Muertes away and lands gutwrenches. Muertes tosses Matanza out and lands a suicide dive. Ground and pound from Muertes and Cueto attacks Muertes from behind. Cueto gets choked and Matanza saves him as they fight to the announce table. Catrina takes the stone to the back of the head of Matanza and Matanza chokes her. Muertes with a chair to the back. Muertes pummels Matanza with a mini-keg of some sort. Matanza with a low blow and the two fight to the top of the office. Muertes looks to throw Matanza off. Flatliner through the roof of the office of Cueto.

No decision is made on the result of the contest and the show closes with a new commissioner of police in Boyle Heights informing detectives to drop the case on Dario Cueto, claiming he is working for someone higher than the mayor.


Apr 13, 2016: Puma, Mysterio & Azteca advance in trios classic

Tonight on Lucha Underground, the Trios Tournament continues its first round as Rey Mysterio, Prince Puma, and El Dragon Azteca Jr. face off against the unlikely triad of Cage, Johnny Mundo, and Taya. Plus, the return of the Aztec medallions! All that and more on this week’s edtion of Lucha Underground!

Johnny Mundo, Taya, and Cage open the show in the office of LU owner Dario Cueto. Cueto wants them to behave and not break any windows. Cueto says he wants this year’s Trios Tournament to be better than last year’s and he wants them to team up. Cage asks for a match with Mundo instead, but Cueto likes his idea better and tries to “formally introduce” himself to Taya. Cueto says he brought together the current Lucha Underground Trios Champions and Cage says he will win the tournament with or without Mundo and Taya.

Argenis vs. Killshot

Argenis charges into the corner and misses Killshot. Dropkick from Killshot and chops from corner to corner. Backbreaker nearfall for Killshot and Argenis fights out of the corner. Killshot stops the comeback by sitting him up top, but Argenis with a palm strike. Killshot with a head kick to send Argenis to the floor. Shooting star press over the top rope to Argenis on the floor lands and a cutter inside gets a nearfall for Killshot. Argenis comes back with a head kick up top and an arm drag off the top for a nearfall of his own. Corkscrew brainbuster by Killshot and he drops Argenis. Double stomp off the top and an electric chair position sees Killshot drop him into a package piledriver.

Black Lotus outside the office of Dario Cueto. El Dragon Azteca Jr. asks how Lotus can work for him and Lotus says Cueto locked her away. Azteca asks who killed their master and Lotus says Matanza did it. Azteca tells her to keep close to Cueto and Lotus says it is not time to go in for the kill yet.

Daga in the office of Dario Cueto and Cueto says Daga is one of the up-and-comers in lucha libre and he wants to offer him a chance at one of the seven Aztec medallions. Cueto says he has stiff competition as he will take on the ruthless Texano. Daga says Cueto just doesn’t know him yet.

Aztec Medallion Match: Daga vs. Texano

Daga works Texano into the corner and slaps him. Texano and Daga exchange positions and submission as they feel each other out. Texano with a slap of his own and a shoulder block. Kick to the head gets a nearfall for Texano. Chops from Texano and he crotches Daga on the top rope. Dropkick sends Daga to the floor and Texano tires a dive. Daga moves inside and lands an enzuigiri. Corkscrew crossbody over the top from Daga and he works the arm of Texano outside. Nearfall by Daga inside and a corner chop to the head is followed by a pendulum dropkick. Running dropkick gets another nearfall for Daga and Texano fights up to his feet. Both get put down after kicks and a leg lariat gets Texano a nearfall. Texano powerbomb turned into a hurricanrana nearfall for Daga. Daga rolls through on the leg to apply an ankle lock. Texano kicks him off for a monkey flip and the sit-out powerbomb connects.

Catrina and Mil Muertes backstage and Catrina says The Disciples of Death earned entry into the Trios Tournament next week. Catrina says The Disciples are here to beg his forgiveness and Catrina says they will not fail again. Catrina says they will win the Lucha Underground Trios Championships and Muertes will be the Lucha Underground Champion, but warns Matanza Cueto is like nothing Muertes has ever seen before.

Trios Tournament First Round: Rey Mysterio, El Dragon Azteca Jr. & Prince Puma vs. Johnny Mundo, Taya, & Cage

Azteca starts with Cage and Cage drags him with a side headlock. Azteca fights back and kicks out of the corners. Corkscrew arm drag for Azteca and Cage knocks him down. Lariats ducked and Puma brought in with a headscissors. Mundo tags himself in and they exchange counters until Puma lands the back handspring headscissors. Taya trips Puma and Mundo with a Moonlight Drive for a nearfall. Standing corkscrew gets Mundo another and Taya in to work Puma down. Puma worked by Mundo on the apron while Taya ties up the referee. Cage in and a gutwrench into a powerbomb gets a nearfall. Standing moonsault from Cage and Mundo tosses a chair into the ring. Cage kicks it away and slaps Mundo, which the referee calls a tag. Puma fights away from Cage, Mundo, and Taya. Mundo sweeps the leg and knocks Mysterio off the apron to stop the tag. Azteca gets the hot tag instead and plays the house of fire. Mysterio able to get the hot tag and he lands drop toeholds that sends Taya below the belt of Mundo. 619 stopped as Mundo and Taya move outside, but Puma and Azteca with dives. Everyone taken out outside and Mysterio and Mundo inside. Chaos inside and Mysterio gets hit with a powerslam by Cage. Cage looks to fly and Mundo takes his place up top. Puma electric chairs Mundo up on the top rope and Azteca with a super hurricanrana. 450 and Mundo still kicks out. Cage catches Puma and Azteca out of the air and lands a double fallaway slam. Puma ducks away from a Mundo kick and he takes out Cage. Cage lariats his own partner and Mysterio with a 619 on Mundo. Azteca and Mysterio fly to take out Cage and Taya outside. 450 from Puma.

Dario Cueto talks to Matanza in his cage and he says this will be his biggest match, but nothing can stand in his way after the world has seen what he can do. Cueto asks Matanza if he understands why he remains caged and says no one understands the destruction like his brother does. Cueto tells Matanza to bring death next week.


Apr 6, 2016: Matanza shoots to kill in Fenix rematch

Tonight on Lucha Underground, Fenix has asked for a rematch for the Lucha Underground Championship and he gets it against Matanza in the main event. Can Fenix be the first to down Matanza in The Temple? Plus, the first match of the first round in the Trios tournament. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Recap of last week.

Vampiro in the bathroom looking at his medicine. Dario Cueto walks in and says he knows there is a part of Vampiro that wants to do something stupid and bash his head in before going to find Matanza. Vampiro says all of him wants to do that and Cueto tells Vampiro that they are lucky Pentagon Jr. is alive. Cueto says Vampiro is valuable to him and he needs him to do commentary for the big main event tonight. Cueto tells him to not make the same mistake Pentagon did.

Officers Ryan and Reyes, AKA Cortez Castro in the office of their captain, Detective Vasquez. Vasquez wants them to get closer to Cueto now that he is back and Ryan says he introduced himself to Cueto and got paired with The Crew for the Trios tournament tonight.

Ivelisse vs. Kobra Moon

Kobra slithers toward Ivelisse and the two lock up. Armbar attempt from Ivelisse and Kobra gets the rope break. Kobra with a headscissors and the two exchange nearfalls. Dragon sleeper blocked by Ivelisse and she works Kobra into the corner. Kobra with a headscissors and chokes Ivelisse on the top rope for a nearfall inside. Tarantula for another rope submission by Kobra. Ivelisse comes back with a Northern Lights suplex and a front chancery. Side Russian legsweep for Ivelisse and forearms and chops exchanged. Ivelisse with kicks and an exploder suplex for a nearfall. Kobra comes back with submissions and kicks exchanged. Sunset flip powerbomb from Ivelisse.

Mack wants her to be there to show him support and she turns him down. Mack tells her that he hopes she will be there to collect when those two get what is coming to them.

Ryan starts with Mack and he immediately tags in Cisco. Shoulder tackle on Cisco gets a nearfall for Mack. Back elbow and a springboard arm drag for Cisco. Mack with an arm drag. Sweeps and drags exchanged and Ryan and Mariposa brought in. Ryan tries to seduce Mariposa and she answers with a slap. Springboard arm drag and an axe kick from Mariposa. Moth in and he gets taken down with a dropkick. Castro in and Moth gets The Treatment from The Crew for a nearfall. Cisco in and Mariposa lands a head kick as Cisco springboards. Moth and Mariposa work Cisco down. Cisco gets separation with a neckbreaker. Castro gets the tag and comes in like a house of fire. DDT nearfall broken by Mariposa. Ryan steals the tag and Mack steals his tag as well. Uppercuts and a leg drop from Mack. Samoan drop and standing moonsault from Mack get a nearfall. Mariposa stops a dive from her own partner and Mack kicks her into the pile to land a flip dive. Mack looks to finish Ryan and Moth tags himself in. Lucha Underground Championship: “The Monster” Matanza Cueto (w/Dario Cueto) vs. Fenix

Matanza drops Fenix into the corner and lands a shoulder tackle. Matanza bounces his head off the canvas and works him into the corner. Fenix fights away and Matanza drags him back with a German suplex on the turnbuckles. Fenix gets away and tries a springboard. Matanza catches him and Fenix escapes. Fenix works a comeback outside with kicks from the apron. Suicide dive caught and Matanza catches him for a slam on the floor. Cueto tells Matanza to make him bleed and Matanza pummels Fenix before landing The Wrath of the Gods inside.

Post-match, Matanza continues to pummel Fenix. Catrina comes out and calls for him to stop. Mil Muertes sneaks into the ring and tosses Matanza out. Fenix gets up and looks confused as Muertes leaves the ring.

Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto kicks us off and says his return last week was just the beginning for what he is going to do. Next week, Cueto will start a new trios tournament and he has an idea for determining the number one contender for Lucha Underground Champion Matanza. Pentagon Jr. interrupts and tells Cueto to wait a minute. Pentagon claims the only reason Matanza won was because he wasn’t in the match. Cueto says maybe Pentagon wasn’t in Aztec Warfare because he isn’t championship material. Pentagon chokes Cueto and says for Cueto to give him Matanza tonight to prove the real champion. Cueto denies him and Pentagon gets him in an armbar. Cueto relents and gives him a title shot tonight.

Taya & Johnny Mundo vs. Mr. Cisco & Cortez Castro

Taya with Castro and she lands shoulder tackles. Castro drops her for a nearfall and looks for a suplex. Taya escapes and lands a clothesline. Cisco in and a double bulldog gets Cisco a nearfall. Headscissors from Taya and Mundo tags himself in for ground and pound. Mundo with a Moonlight Drive on Cisco for a nearfall. End of the World blocked for a nearfall and Cisco gets the hot tag to Castro. Mundo tags in Taya to escape the house of fire offense. Castro with a DDT on Taya and Cage makes his way down. Catrina in the office of Dario Cueto. Cueto thanks Catrina for keeping The Temple running, but he is the rightful owner. Catrina says Matanza isn’t the rightful owner of the Lucha Underground Championship and he will face death in Mil Muertes. Cueto says he has no beef with Catrina and has even given The Disciples of Death a Lucha Underground Trios Championship title shot. Cueto says him and Catrina have common enemies and could run The Temple powerfully together. Catrina tells Cueto that death is coming for him.

Elimination Match for the Lucha Underground Trios Championship: Ivelisse, Angelico, & Son of Havoc (c) vs. The Disciples of Death (w/Catrina)

Angelico starts with Barrio Negro. Arm drags and submissions exchanged and Havoc tags in to work BN down. Senton nearfall for Havoc and Ivelisse in. Tag made by BN and Ivelisse works free for BN to be kicked to the outside by his partner. Catrina distracts on the outside and BN punts her head between the ropes.

Ivelisse has been eliminated.

Havoc worked down by a Disciple, but he flips out of the corner to make the hot tag to Angelico. Knees and kicks in the house of fire offense from Angelico. Dropkick drops Angelico, but he comes back with Fall of the Angels.

Trece has been eliminated.

Angelico and Havoc land planchas to the outside together. Siniestro hit with a knee inside. Fall of the Angels blocked and Siniestro drives the knees into the back of the head of Angelico.

Angelico has been eliminated.

Tonight on Lucha Underground, twenty men enter and one leaves as the Lucha Underground Champion in the most grueling match The Temple has ever known. Aztec Warfare II is upon us on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Pentagon meets Fenix backstage and tells him that the Lucha Underground Championship belongs to him tonight. The lights cut and Catrina shows up. Catrina says Pentagon knows nothing of the darkness and we go to black. Catrina and Pentagon lit in color and Catrina says Pentagon didn’t receive an invitation to compete in Aztec Warfare. Catrina says he lost that privilege as soon as he laid his hands on her. Pentagon says he only listens to his master and Catrina and Mil Muertes don’t scare him. Catrina says Pentagon doesn’t know true fear and tells Fenix he barely survived last week. Catrina says Fenix has taken his last breath and Mil Muertes will take back the title tonight.

Springboard Japanese arm drag gets a nearfall for Fenix. King Cuerno draws #3 and takes down Mysterio and Fenix with kicks. Alley-oop lands on Mysterio and Arrow from the Depths of Hell lands on Fenix outside. Argenis draws #4 and comes in like a house of fire. Tonight on Lucha Underground, Fenix turns in his Gift of the Gods Championship to get a Lucha Underground Championship match with “The Man of 1,000 Deaths” Mil Muertes! Plus, Angelico, Son of Havoc, and Ivelisse either win the Lucha Underground Trios Championship from the Disciples of Death or hit the open road. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Fenix in the locker room with the Gift of the Gods Championship and the lights hit. Catrina comes in and says she has tried everything to destroy him, but he keeps rising from the ashes. Catrina wants his powers and she wonders if she made the wrong choice sometimes. They could have ruled The Temple together and she kisses him. Catrina says that was their final kiss because Mil Muertes destroys him once and for all. Fenix will bring her back from the dead.

Lucha Underground Trios Championship: The Disciples of Death (c) (w/Catrina) vs. Ivelisse, Angelico, & Son of Havoc

The Disciples worked into the corners and sent out by Ivelisse, Angelico, and Havoc. Angelico and Havoc dragged outside and taken out. Springboard dropkick to the back of head on Ivelisse gets a nearfall and The Disciples isolate Ivelisse inside. Ivelisse knees out of a reverse sleeper and works out of two suplexes to make the hot tag to Havoc. Angelico in with knees and kicks. Trio of dives over the top on The Disciples. Catrina kicks Ivelisse outside and The Disciples pull a switch for a small package nearfall. Knee from Angelico followed by Havoc off the top.

Mundo says he won’t take Puma lightly this year and he will send Puma to the back of the line. Mundo says The Temple is his world. Puma punches a hole through the bag after Mundo walks off.

Rey Mysterio gives Dragon Azteca Jr. an invitation to The Temple to compete in Aztec Warfare because his training is complete. Azteca asks if Mysterio is coming with him and Mysterio received an invitation of his own. Mysterio says Azteca isn’t the only one with something left to prove and they share a shot of tequila.

Bullrope Match: Texano vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/The Crew)

The Crew ditch Guerrero and Texano pulls Guerrero into a clothesline. Texano goes to work wearing Guerrero down. Guerrero thrown out and Texano misses a shot with the cowbell against the post. Guerrero pulls Texano into the post with the rope after being rolled in. Texano sent into the floor seats and Guerrero goes to work keeping Texano down. Texano fights up and works the comeback. Texano works the rope below the belt and looks for a superplex. Guerrero fights him off and looks for a Frog Splash. Texano pulls him down and lands a sit-out powerbomb.

Post-match, Texano whips Guerrero with the rope.

Muertes works Fenix down and Fenix comes back with a springboard dropkick. Fenix with kicks and forearms. Springboard cutter for Fenix connects and he lands a kick on the apron. Muertes drops him trying to springboard inside and lands a Spear to the floor. Fenix comes back and dives into a cutter from Muertes for a nearfall. Muertes tears at the mask of Fenix and Fenix sends Muertes out. Fenix dives into a chair shot from Muertes. Fenix busted open and Muertes strikes and bites at the cut. DDT gets a nearfall and Fenix and Muertes move into the crowd. Superkicks from Fenix and he tries to tightrope on the grandstand barricade. Muertes shoves him into the crowd and gets to the floor. Fenix comes back with a crossbody off the railing. Muertes powerbombs Fenix on the table and bounces his head off the table. Fenix comes back and lands a senton on the apron. Fenix tears the mask of Muertes and Muertes with a Spear and punches. Chair brought in and Muertes pummels Fenix. Fenix gets the chair and unloads before tossing the chair into his face. Fenix with a superkick and a springboard 450 for a nearfall. Muertes comes back with a uranage for a nearfall and Muertes in disbelief. Clotheslines miss and Fenix with a kick combo punctuated by a spinning hook kick. German suplex with a bridge gets Fenix a nearfall. Fenix up top and Muertes with an uppercut. DDT off the top for Muertes and he looks to finish Fenix. Flatliner sees Fenix roll through to stack and bridge Muertes.

The Mack meets Sexy Star in the locker room. Mack has a match against Marty “The Moth” Martinez tonight and he wants Sexy in his corner. Sexy turns him down, but Mack says he doesn’t know a Sexy Star that runs and hides. Mack wants her help to squash the bug and Sexy bumps fists.

Moth with a back bodydrop to send him out and a dive over the top. Sexy avoids Moth at ringside and Moth with a nearfall inside. Splash misses for Moth and Mack with a suplex combo. The lights go out and Moth’s sister comes to ringside. The lights come on and Moth lands a press slam off the top. Stomp off the top from Moth.

Evans and Black attack and Drago comes back with nunchuks of his own. Black and Evans overwhelm Drago and Aerostar comes in after the lights hit to warn Black and Evans. The two run off and Aerostar helps Drago up.

Taya comes out when Johnny Mundo is introduced. Taya says Mundo already beat Cage and she thinks it is her turn. Taya knows Cage isn’t a man, but she wants to see if he has the balls to beat her.

Taya shoves Cage and slaps him in the face. Cage with a clothesline and a powerslam. Neckbreaker from Cage gets a nearfall and Taya with a shot below the belt. Dropkick and tornado DDT land. Running knees in the corner get a nearfall on Cage. Taya goes for the lead pipe outside and Cage powerbombs her against the barricade and the ring post. Powerbomb and turnbuckle powerbomb from Cage. Tables set up outside by Cage and he suplexes Taya through both to the floor. Mundo runs in and attacks Cage from behind. Lead pipe to the head and Mundo carries Taya to cover Cage. Mundo lays on top of the two and Cage still kicks out. Cinder block and beer bottles brought in by Mundo. Powerbomb blocked by Cage and he lands an Alabama Slam. Cage looks to finish Taya and Mundo cracks him over the head with two beer bottles. Cage unfazed and Mundo shoves Taya into him as he escapes outside. Weapon X on Taya.

Tonight on Lucha Underground, King Cuerno puts his Gift of the Gods Championship and Lucha Underground Championship shot on the line against Fenix in a ladder match! Plus, Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. square off again. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes at a candlelight vigil and Catrina says he summoned him. Muertes says Catrina is letting Pentagon and Prince Puma fight each other and not him. Muertes shouldn’t have listened to Catrina and Catrina says Muertes would still be buried in his tomb the gods put him in if it weren’t for her. Muertes chokes Catrina and asks for Pentagon and Puma. The lights turn off and on and Catrina is gone as she denies him the match.

Sexy Star vs. Kobra Moon

Puma comes back with a springboard clothesline and lands a moonsault over the top. Springboard back elbow inside blocked by a Pentagon dropkick for a nearfall. Chop from Pentagon and Puma rolls Pentagon up on a wheelbarrow for a nearfall. Suplexes and a standing shooting star press get Puma a nearfall. 450 Splash from Puma misses and he rolls to his feet. Mil Muertes makes his way down the steps as Pentagon lands a Canadian Destroyer for a nearfall. Muertes rips off the cast and gets into the ring to land a Chokeslam on Pentagon.

Feeling out process starts the match and Fenix with a springboard back elbow. Cuerno sent out for a dive from Fenix and he stomps Cuerno down before setting up the ladder inside. Cuerno pulls him down and puts the ladder in the corner. Cuerno powerbombs Fenix on the ladder and sets the ladder up against the apron. Another gets set next to it for a ladder bridge. Cuerno dumps Fenix outside and drops him on the ladder. Fenix sent into the ring post and Cuerno punts Fenix on the floor. Cuerno sent into the ladder and he catches himself to land a diving clothesline off it. Fenix sent into the chairs and he carries him up the ladder. Cuerno knocked to the floor and Fenix with a flip dive off one of the canopies. Cuerno slammed against the barricade and Cuerno and Fenix fight into the crowd. Both exchange and Cuerno shoves Fenix off the elevated grandstand into the apron ladder bridge. Battering ram with the ladder sees Cuerno miss and crack his arm against it as he runs it into the post. Fenix climbs the ladder against the canopy and gets pulled off and dropped. Cuerno goes for the title and gets springboard dropkicked off. Both climb up and hang from the hanger before falling to the mat. Thrill of the Hunt lands and Cuerno brings in a table. Thrill of the Hunt off the top blocked and Fenix with a springboard hurricanrana through the table that gets him to the belt.

Dive from Killshot misses and he lands on his feet. Cuerno with a superkick and The Arrow from the Depths of Hell lands. Cuerno sent to the apron back inside and lands a kick off the apron. Killshot superplex blocked, but he gets a cutter on the apron. Chop battle inside and kicks land to the head for both. Springboard moonsault sees Cuerno kick Killshot out of the air. Tombstone positions exchange and Killshot lands a pop-up codebreaker. Killshot misses off the top and Cuerno with Thrill of the Hunt.

Gauntlet Match: Texano vs. Chavo Guerrero & The Crew

Cisco starts with Texano and takes advice from Guerrero. Texano takes the opportunity to land a superkick.

Castro comes in as Guerrero fakes coming inside. Castro with a kick in the corner and a tornado DDT gets a nearfall. Neckbreaker gets Castro another nearfall and he works on the neck of Texano. Magistral nearfall for Texano and he gets out of the corner with a leg lariat for a nearfall. Castro with forearms and Texano lands a pop-up powerbomb.

Cortez Castro eliminated by pinfall.

Guerrero attacks from behind and works Texano down. Texano starts a comeback with a clothesline and a forearm in the corner. Texano works Guerrero down and gets a back bodydrop. Cisco distracts the referee and Texano tries to suplex Guerrero into the ring from the apron. Castro sweeps the leg of Texano with the bull rope and holds the legs down as he lays on the floor.

Pentagon Jr. in the practice ring and he calls for Catrina. Pentagon wants to teach Prince Puma a lesson. Catrina asks why she would give Pentagon what she wants after what he did to Mil Muertes. Catrina and him fight until Pentagon sets her up for an armbar. Pentagon says he could break Catrina’s arm. The lights flash off and Catrina reappears with the lights safely in the corner. Catrina says he can have Puma next week, but laying his hands on her was the worst thing he could have done.

Mundo slaps Cage and lands kicks before getting pushed into the corner. Mundo and Cage exchange ground and pound and Mundo ducks a clothesline to land a bicycle kick. Cage with a tilt-a-whirl flapjack and Mundo set up top. Mundo slides down the ring post to land a kick. Springboard corkscrew from Mundo lands on Cage on the floor. Cage sent into the barricade outside and Mundo with a nearfall inside. Mundo works on keeping Cage on the mat with strikes and submission. Mundo flips out of a pumphandle from Cage to land a heel kick. Back bodydrop from Cage and he comes back with clotheslines and a back elbow. Sitout Alabama Slam gets Cage a nearfall. Backbreaker and neckbreaker from Mundo and End of the World stopped by Cage. Superkick between the legs of Mundo and a wheelbarrow facebuster gets a nearfall. Pele Kick from Mundo followed by a Lucha Destroyer from Cage. Mundo with his foot on the ropes. End of the World misses for Mundo after dropping Cage. Discus clothesline from Cage and Weapon X lands. Taya Valkyrie comes out and gets on the apron after sliding a lead pipe in. The referee gets distracted and Mundo lays out Cage.

King Cuerno in the office of Catrina and he is tired of being the hunted with the Gift of the Gods Championship by Fenix. Cuerno wants to cash in and take on Mil Muertes for the Lucha Underground Championship next week. Catrina says they had a deal and Cuerno doesn’t care. Catrina already has a match booked for Cuerno next week with the Gift of the Gods title on the line against Fenix in a ladder match.


Feb 17, 2016: Puma almost snaps on Pentagon

Tonight on Lucha Underground, Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. finally meet after weeks of tension! Who will make a claim for a shot at Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes in the main event? Plus, Rey Mysterio reveals the history of the Cueto family. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Ivelisse enters the office of Catrina and she says she would be Lucha Underground Champion if it weren’t for the Lucha Underground Trios Champions The Disciples of Death. Catrina says Ivelisse should thank Mil Muertes for the mercy he showed her and Catrina says her and her boys want to show that same mercy to the Disciples tonight. Ivelisse says they will be glad all they did was take the Trios titles. Catrina says there are no automatic rematches and says they will have to earn a shot against a team itching to prove themselves. Ivelisse says it doesn’t matter and she will get her hands on Catrina one day.

Ivelisse, Son of Havoc, & Angelico vs. Chavo Guerrero & The Crew

Cisco starts with Angelico and a series of counters and escapes leads to arm drags from Angelico. Ivelisse in to do the same and Castro in. Ivelisse with kicks and knees for a nearfall. Ivelisse gets dropped and Guerrero in to work Ivelisse down as she gets trapped in the Crew corner. Ivelisse fights away and gets the tag to Havoc for the house of fire offense on Cisco. Castro distracts the referee and knocks Havoc off the top to get The Crew control. Havoc sidesteps a splash and Angelico in like a house of fire with kicks and knees. Angelico, Havoc, and Ivelisse with dives over the top and a knee from Havoc followed by a stomp off the top on Castro.

Post-match, Texano takes out The Crew as Guerrero gets out of the line of fire.

Joey Ryan meets Cortez Castro in the locker room and Ryan says he has always been a better cop than him. Ryan says they need to convince everyone in The Temple they are luchadores and Castro isn’t doing a good job. Castro says he will take Ryan on if he wants to test him and Ryan says to just sit back and watch his “old-fashioned police work” later.

Joey Ryan vs. Cage

Cage works Ryan into the corner and Ryan uses his lollipop to get space. Cage backs him into the corner again and works him down with clotheslines. Cage runs into the post on his shoulder and Ryan attacks the left arm. Dropkick nearfall and Ryan continues to focus on the arm. Cage slams Ryan to start the comeback, but misses a moonsault. Ryan with a spinebuster nearfall. Cage looks to finish Ryan and Ryan with superkicks. Cage drops Ryan and gets a Drill Claw.

Johnny Mundo attacks Cage from behind post-match. Cage grabs Mundo for Weapon X and says he is not a man. Cage is a machine.

Rey Mysterio trains with Dragon Azteca Jr. and he tells Dragon about Dario Cueto’s father and Dragon Azteca partnering to try and have the seven Aztec tribes do battle once again. The two split and agreed to never enter each other’s domain again, which was broken when Dragon Azteca entered The Temple. Mysterio warns Dragon Jr. not to go looking for revenge and tells him to go to The Temple looking to unite the seven tribes.

Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. make their way out for the main event.

Prince Puma vs. Pentagon Jr.

Puma with a handstand hurricanrana and he pops up from a Pentagon tackle as the two go back and forth. Pentagon pulls Puma outside and chops him down. Chops inside and a powerbomb backbreaker across the knee gets Pentagon a nearfall. Forearms from Pentagon and Puma gets a redirection cutter to start the comeback. Springboard clothesline lands and Pentagon sent out. Moonsault tope lands for Puma and gets a nearfall inside. Puma misses Pentagon in the corner and lungblower gets Pentagon a nearfall. Pumphandle blocked by Puma for an arm drag and a springboard moonsault from Puma gets dropkicked out of the air by Pentagon for a nearfall. Strikes exchanged and Pentagon drops Puma before Puma gets back with a superkick. Double suplex combo from Puma gets a nearfall and a 450 lands on the knees of Pentagon. Cradle nearfall off the miss for Pentagon and Package Piledriver lands. Surfboard in for Pentagon and he pulls the shoulders of Puma to the mat. Both men with their shoulders on the mat and Puma bridges.

Vampiro stands at commentary and looks on as Puma looks to break the arm of Pentagon. Puma lets the arm go and walks off.

The show closes as Sexy Star runs into The Temple and The Mack stops her. Mack asks who did this and Sexy says “Moth.” Mack says he will kill “The Moth” and Sexy points to his sister off-camera as Mack looks shocked.


Feb 10, 2016: Fenix left standing and Cuerno falls

Tonight on Lucha Underground, King Cuerno taking the Gift of the Gods title from Fenix wasn’t enough to satisfy Catrina’s demands and he now has to stop the bird from rising from the ashes in a Last Luchador Standing main event! Plus, the debut of Kobra Moon. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Bengala vs. Kobra Moon

Dropkick and headscissors takeover for Kobra and Bengala sent out. Kobra slingshots outside into a hurricanrana on the floor. Kick combination from Kobra and she runs into a boot from Bengala. Flying headbutts and heel kick get Bengala a nearfall. Superkick off a snapmare gets Bengala another pin attempt. Moonsault onto the knees of Kobra and she locks in the Snake Sleeper.

Winner by submission: Kobra Moon

Catrina in her office and she says she still feels a tingle in the presence of Fenix. Fenix wants Lucha Underground Gift of the God Champion King Cuerno. Catrina says his thousand lives will soon run out and Fenix says he will destroy Cuerno, Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes, and her before they do.

Video package shows Aerostar headed to The Temple by travelling a millennium ahead to unite the Aztec tribes.

Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Champion King Cuerno working out. Catrina meets him and says he took the title, but didn’t destroy the man. Cuerno says he did what Catrina asked and protected her wounded animal. Catrina says even the best hunters will fall to Mil Muertes and tells Cuerno to kill the Fenix in a Last Luchador Standing match with no title at risk.

Jack Evans vs. Drago

Drago runs Evans into the ropes to start and Evans with kicks. Standing corkscrew splash misses for Evans and he gets sent to the floor by a dropkick. Chops from Drago and Evans with punches before Drago wins the striking exchange. Leglock from Drago countered as Evans bites the hand. Evans with kicks and he looks to wear Drago down. Drago with a Superkick to knock Evans off the top for a nearfall, but Evans continues to work Drago down. Drago works the comeback and lands a crossbody off the top to the floor. Top rope-assisted DDT gets Drago a nearfall. Strikes exchanged until Drago lands a blockbuster. Submission attempt sees Evans get a backslide and stack Drago with his feet on the ropes.

Catrina sneaks up on Prince Puma in the bathroom and she says she can still hear Konnan in the casket. Catrina asks if Puma prays and she wonders if Konnan prays for the wicked life he lived or if he prays because he failed Puma. Catrina says Puma can make a sacrifice to his master next week against Pentagon.

Fenix and King Cuerno make their way out for the main event.

Last Luchador Standing: Fenix vs. King Cuerno

Forearm exchange and Fenix with kicks and a springboard back elbow. Springboard hurricanrana for Fenix puts Cuerno down and he gets up to land kicks to put Fenix down for a count. Cuerno dropped over the top to the floor and Fenix misses on a dive outside. Cuerno bounces the head of Fenix off the post and moves fans out to toss Fenix into the chairs. Fenix able to get up and he gets dropped by a clothesline as Mil Muertes watches over on his throne. Cuerno runs into a Superkick inside and Fenix with dropkicks. Tope lands and Cuerno down for a count outside. Fenix lands another dive over the top and Cuerno beats the count with a second to spare. Fenix slams Cuerno and goes up top, but Cuerno kicks Fenix off the top and to the floor. Arrow from the Depths of Hell lands through the corner of the ring. Ladder brought in and used like a battering ram on Fenix. Referee counts as Cuerno props the ladder against the office and Cuerno stops his count to bring out a table. German Suplexes blocked and Fenix with a Superkick. Fenix climbs to the top of the office building and kicks Cuerno to tip the ladder and send him through the table for the count.

Winner: Fenix

The show closes with Cortez Castro at the desk of police officer Detective Vasquez. Vasquez says Castro can no longer associate with The Crew and his sole mission was to bring down Dario Cueto. Vasquez has brought in someone to help him go undercover and Joey Ryan is introduced as the show closes.


Feb 4, 2016: Pentagon and Puma fall to Disciples

Tonight on Lucha Underground, a strange alliance brings together Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. in the main event against Lucha Underground Trios Champions The Disciples of Death! Can the rivals survive the match? Plus, a new debut in The Temple. All that and more on this week’s edition of Lucha Underground!

Prince Puma working out and Pentagon Jr. thanks Puma for helping him sacrifice to his master. Pentagon says he and Puma will team up to break bones for his master. Pentagon says they will defeat the Disciples of Death tonight and then Pentagon will be coming for him. The two exchange strikes in the locker room and Puma pins Pentagon against the lockers to end it.

Johnny Mundo vs. Killshot

Mundo and Killshot feel each other out and Killshot with a trio of head kicks. Shooting star tope lands and Killshot gets speared after playing to the crowd too long. Mundo with a nearfall and Killshot lands a cutter to comeback. Spanish fly from Mundo and Killshot drops him in the corner. 450 splash connects for Killshot for a nearfall. Killshot pushes Mundo away and Mundo drops the referee. Pop-up into a mule kick below the belt from Mundo and a springboard kick is followed by the End of the World.

Winner by pinfall: Johnny Mundo

Mundo with the microphone and he tells Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes that the earthquake he was in when he was a kid will feel nothing like the End of the World. Cage interrupts and says he is 100% and cleared to return to The Temple, unlike Muertes. Cage tells Muertes that he should face him if he wants a real challenge. Cage says he is a machine and Mundo tells Cage to admit he isn’t even in his league. Cage says he remembers beating Mundo down when they first met and they can fight right now. The two get face-to-face in the ring and Mundo moves out of the ring. Cage stares Muertes down and Mundo attacks from behind. Cage fights back and lands a clothesline that sends Mundo away.

Sexy Star tied to a chair in a room with Marty “The Moth” Martinez. Martinez brings her a butterfly and tells Sexy her sister says it will soon be time to change and return to The Temple. Sexy won’t be alone because Martinez and his sister will be with her.

Headblock for Black and a legsweep nearfall. Mack and Black exchange chops after Mack stops the offense. Kicks miss for Black and Mack drops him with a flying knee for a nearfall. Corner forearm and Mack distracted by something, Black kicks out of the corner and Mack with a Samoan Drop and a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Chops exchanged and leg kicks exchanged by the two. Black flips out of a German Suplex and lands Black to the Future for a nearfall. Lionsault gets the same and Black goes up top for the 450. Mack rolls to the corner and gets splashed. Black springboards into a TKO cutter from Mack.

Pentagon and Puma attacked as the bell rings and The Disciples work them into the corners. The Disciples sent out and Pentagon gets a flip dive over the top. Puma tries to one-up by landing a shooting star press off the top to the floor. Puma gets ganged up on in the ring and Pentagon takes his time getting to the apron as The Disciples work Puma down on their side of the ring. Pentagon gets in with no tag to make the save and the numbers advantage continues to keep Puma and Pentagon down. Puma fights away and sends The Disciples into one another. Pentagon in like a house of fire on no tag. Puma gets a missile dropkick off the top and the two teammates get face-to-face. The Disciples take advantage and Pentagon sidesteps one of the Disciples to take out his partner. Puma up top and Pentagon sneaks a tag. 630 splash lands and Pentagon covers.

Post-match, Pentagon with a lungblower and Puma fights away from the armbar.

Jan 27, 2016: Ivelisse meets Muertes in title match

Tonight on the season two debut of Lucha Underground, we reenter The Temple where former Lucha Underground Trios Champions Angelico, Son of Havoc, and Ivelisse fight for a title match against Lucha Underground Champion and new boss Mil Muertes. Plus, Fenix defends the Gift of the Gods title! All that and more on the season debut of Lucha Underground!

Vampiro shown being analyzed at a psych ward and he is prescribed an anti-psychotic. The therapist asks Vampiro to avoid the places that trigger his violence and he attacks the therapist and the orderlies. It cuts back to reveal it was a dream and Vampiro agrees to avoid them. Matt Striker picks him up and Vampiro asks if they still have a job at “The Temple.” Striker says they have an open invitation, but The Temple is not like it was before because it is a darker place.

Catrina in her office and she says she wondered if he would have the guts to show up. In walks Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Champion Fenix and he says he is here for Mil Muertes and his Lucha Underground Championship. Catrina says Fenix has a right as possessor of the Gift of the Gods, but she has a right as new ruler to make him wait until next week. Catrina says that is assuming Fenix still has the title as he has to face King Cuerno tonight.

Cuerno and Fenix start exchanging arm drags and trips to a stalemate. Cuerno moves outside and Fenix gets caught on a slide. DDT to the floor by Cuerno followed by the Arrow from the Depths of Hell for a nearfall. Springboard dropkick from Fenix and Fenix springboard backflips to land a cutter. Cuerno sent out and Fenix with a springboard corkscrew. Running kick in the corner from Fenix and Cuerno gets a diving forearm. Fenix comes back with a springboard cutter and he rolls into a Dragon Sleeper. Cuerno counters into a surfboard. Cuerno sat up top and Fenix gets a stomp to the back of the head to the mat for a nearfall. Cuerno with a Thrill of the Hunt gets a nearfall. Cradle Tombstone Piledriver from Cuerno.

Angelico, Son of Havoc, and Ivelisse meet with Catrina. Ivelisse says she wants the Lucha Underground Trios Championships back. Catrina says no and says Muertes says they can face each other for a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship. The group accepts and Catrina whispers something into ring announcer Melissa Santos’s ear.

The three competitors for the match make their way out.

Catrina in the locker room and she congratulates King Cuerno, but tells him to remember their deal. Cuerno says her and Muertes have nothing to worry about.

Lucha Underground Championship Three-Way Number One Contenders Match: Son of Havoc vs. Angelico vs. Ivelisse

The three exchange pin attempts to start. Ivelisse slaps Havoc and Angelico around. Angelico lands a running knee on Ivelisse in the corner and Havoc gets a springboard crossbody on Angelico for a nearfall. Angelico with kicks to take Son of Havoc down and Ivelisse comes in for a crossbody on Angelico for a nearfall. Ivelisse with kicks on Havoc and an enzuigiri nearfall on Angelico. Havoc sends her out with a backbreaker and suicide dives on Angelico and Ivelisse. Strikes exchanged inside and Angelico kicks Havoc as he is up top. Front superplex on Angelico and Ivelisse crotches Havoc up top. Crucifix pin on Angelico.

A car stops by The Temple and they look around. Catrina appears and asks if they are lost and the group asks about an underground fight club. Catrina tells them to follow her.

Lucha Underground Championship: Mil Muertes (c) (w/ Catrina) vs. Ivelisse

Muertes throws Ivelisse down and Ivelisse throws forearms and kicks before Muertes clubs her down. Muertes tosses her by her head and kicks her down. Ivelisse gets a guillotine choke and Muertes turns it into a bear hug before he throws her down again. Ivelisse grabs a triangle and Muertes tries to dump her over the top. Ivelisse with an armbar over the ropes and she goes up top to land a tornado DDT for a nearfall. Catrina gets in the ring and raises the stone. Ivelisse sidesteps Muertes and Catrina gets a Spear. Ivelisse rolls Muertes up for a nearfall. Muertes slams Ivelisse down with a powerslam and lands a Flatliner.

Winner by pinfall and STILL Lucha Underground Champion: Mil Muertes

Post-match, Catrina teases the Lick of Death and calls for Muertes to do more. Prince Puma comes in and lands a superkick before dragging Ivelisse out. Muertes stares him down and Pentagon Jr. comes from behind with a backstabber and he breaks the arm of Muertes.

Black Lotus brings the group from the car to Dario Cueto and they ask about underground fighting. Cueto gets $20 apiece from the men and lets them into the cage. The group asks who is fighting tonight and Cueto says they are as they are fed to his brother.
