The return of Saturday Night’s Main Event has been a hit for the WWE and NBC.
The broadcast averaged 1.59 million viewers on NBC and a healthy 0.42 rating in the key demos stat last Saturday night.
That numbers doesn’t include Peacock streaming numbers as Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime are the only platforms, the only Nielsen clients, permitting integrated audience measurement. Participation in voluntary and other platforms don’t share their viewership data or allow Nielsen to track their performance. Nielsen also only measures streaming numbers from connected TVs. It doesn’t collect numbers from phones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.
According to Sports Illustrated though if the digital and streaming numbers were combined the broadcast generated approximately 2.3 million viewers.
Raw has averaged 1.664 million viewers an episode and Smackdown has averaged 2.067 million viewers per episode this year.
