For the second week in a row NXT has been viewed by more fans than AEW’s flagship show Dynamite…and this week they beat them in the key ratings as well.
This week Dynamite brought in 502,000 overnight viewers and scored a 0.16 in the key demos.
Last week Dynamite had 681,000 overnight viewers and 0.23 in the key demos. That’s a loss of 179,000 viewers in one week’s time or approximately 26%. The key demo drop is approximately 30%.
NXT averaged 724,000 viewers and 0.26 in the key demos this week.
Last week, NXT brought in more viewers than Dynamite: 718,000 viewers versus 768,000 overnight viewers but was lower in the key demos 0.23 versus 0.22.
This cannot be good news for AEW who is currently in TV rights negotiations with Warner Brothers Discovery and has the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 30th.
