The Garcias (The Bellas), the stepdaughters of John Laurinaitis, have posted their reaction to the allegations against him and Vince McMahon on social media.
“We are shocked and disheartened with the recent allegations against members of the WWE. It has been a lot to process since we found out this past week, just as you all did. This is something we don’t stand for or condone from anyone no matter who they are. We want all women to feel safe and supported in the workplace and in their everyday lives,” they wrote.
Laurinaitis is the brother of Road Warrior Animal and married the Bella’s mother, Kathy Colace, in 2016.
In the lawsuit against WWE, McMahon and Laurinaitis, plaintiff Janel Grant claims that “McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually assaulted her inside Laurinaitis’ office in WWE headquarters while colleagues were busy at their desks. Behind a locked door, the two men cornered her and pulled her in between them, forcibly touched her, before ultimately putting her on top of a table in between them. She begged them to stop, but they forced themselves on her, each taking turns restraining her for the other, while saying: No means yes! and Take it, bitch!”.
Laurinaitis was fired by the WWE in 2022 for his involvement in the hush money allegations against McMahon.
Through a representative McMahon issued this statement: “This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”
McMahon resigned from the TKO Group last week.
