The Warner Bros. Discovery channels sure seem to love pro wrestling.

There’s all the AEW action, and news broke today that WWE executives had met recently with Warner Bros. Discovery execs about a new home for its flagship Monday Night Raw program (which might force AEW to seek its own new deal elsewhere).

But enough speculation, here’s a fact.

There’s a new wrestling-related show debuting on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, on the Discovery Channel.

It’s called Big Little Brawlers and features little people in action.

The six-episode series revolves around the Micro Wrestling Federation, based on Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

“Despite internal dramas and frustrations, Micro Wresting Federation CEO Jack Darrell Hillegass encourages the group to work together as a family as they approach ‘MicroFest,’ the biggest micro wresting event of the year,” reads the show description, as first revealed in Variety. “As they attempt to achieve their piece of the American Dream, a group of remarkable little people athletes with larger-than-life personalities are forced to overcome ego, injury, and the limitations imposed by society.”

Here is the trailer:

“Dreams come true mine did I am bawling my eyes out…… January 9th 2024 at 10 pm!!!!” wrote Dylan Highley, who is Ivar on the new show, on his Facebook page.

“We have been teasing a reality series for a while, and now the cat is out of the bag! Coming next month on Discovery! #BigLittleBrawlers,” wrote “Little Fabio” Chris Blanton, who noted in a separate email that he was injured and doesn’t appear in the show much–this season.

Some fans might recall another show based upon little person grapplers, Hulk Hogan’s Micro Championship Wrestling, which lasted for a single season in 2011. The show didn’t last, but the Micro Championship Wrestling promotion continued on.
