NWA Powerrr: The Crush meets her match at NWA 78

The National Wrestling Alliance is back in Philadelphia, and NWA 78 kicks into gear with the women wanting The Burke. Natalia Markova wants to reclaim what she lost at The Crockett Cup from Tiffany Nieves, but La Princesa has a few tricks up her sleeve, including her own giant in Gretta getting in the mix.

Who will claim the title this night?

NWA United States Tag Team Championship: The Hardway (Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie)(c) vs. Jack Valor and Eddie Grayson

Grayson and Vaughn start, and the Veteran is having none of it.  Now McKenzie tags in, as does Valor, and he gets his reps in as he tosses his body.

Jack N’ Eddy try to double-team Vaughn, but Hard Times come to Valor.

Dog Collar Match: Eric Smalls vs. Daisy Kill (with Big Cuzzo)

Cuzzo is handcuffed to ringside to make it “fair.”

As for the match, Kill just whips Smalls with the chain like a government mule.  The Half Pint Punk attempts a low blow and ends up hurting, since The Rockstar brings out a protective cup.

Smalls lays some punches and accidentally hits the ref by accident.  Cuzzo grabs the keys from the ref’s pocket, and Charlie Adams from NWA Chicago comes for the save.  It doesn’t matter, as Jack Talos is back (after a respite from All Japan and contributing columns for us) and choke slams Smalls in the center of the ring.

Kill touches the corners and therefore…

Last week, Hayden Backlund won the NWA Junior Heavyweight title, and the second-generation star proclaims he is the future and the present.

Now for tag action with…

Thom Latimer and Hammerstone vs. Da Pope and Big Strong Mims

Pope embraces Latimer and Hammerstone, but not so much for Mims (who always seems to be the odd man out).

Pope and Latimer start and tie up to a draw.  Then a tag to Hammer for a double team, and Mims stops Pope and gets in on the fun.  Now for some power, and Your Boy Hammer tosses him around.

Back to Latimer, and he gets tossed to the outside, where Pope takes advantage, and he and Pope put him In Peril.  A hot tag to Hammerstone, who is en Fuego.  He calls for the Nightmare Pendulum, but Pope gets back, and they try a double team, yet Hammer gives a double suplex.

Latimer delivers a Side of Suffering to Mims for the pin and the win.

Daisy Kill is joined with Talos once again, and they are ready to have a god time (GOOD TIME) again in the NWA

Kyle Davis is with King Trevor the First and his Royal Court on facing the Federation of Champions (which includes The Slimeballz).  The King gives his decree, and they will face them in A Knights of the Round Table match next week.

The Slimeballz talk with Lockjaw and “Buster” and they believe it’ll be Slimetime next week

Next week will be an interview with Billy Corgan and May Valentine as they talk about her not being on NWA, and she feels like she should be repaid after how things were left between her and Aaron Stevens at the altar.

Can’t wait to see how that will turn out.

Three-Way for the NWA World Women’s Title: Tiffany Nieves(c) vs. Gretta (with Ms. Starr) vs. Natalia Markova

Yeah, you can get a whiff of what shenanigans are coming down here, and for once I ain’t talking the odor from Philly.

Markova comes out with a kendo stick and swings on Gretta.  Immediately, the numbers come up as Gretta swings her, and Nieves adds the punctuation with a garbage can.

Markova takes the worst of the beating, and then…

Ads ( where we see the Cazanas on their European tour)

We come back, and Nieves swings a chair and hits Gretta.  Markova gets a second wind and a missile dropkick, but Gretta kicks her off for the cover.

Starr joins the fun, and this is a three-on-one beatdown.  Markova sends Nieves to the corner and gives Gretta a Samoan drop, but La Princesa hits her with the belt and a boot covers her in one, two, and three.

Your Winner, And Still NWA Women’s World Champion:  Tiffany Nieves

Once again, La Princesa is still tall as the show comes to a close.
