A Major Grudge with Big Strong Mims and Da Pope on NWA Powerrr

Big Strong Mims and Da Pope have a Grudge match on this NWA Powerrr

A Major Grudge with Big Strong Mims and Da Pope on NWA Powerrr

On this NWA Powerrr, Da Pope and Big Strong Mims have come to loggerheads over which direction the team should take. How else to settle a dispute than by squaring up in the ring and beating the other up for a resolution?

(If only that could work so well in government).

We come to you from The PowerrrStation in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call, and Colby Corino joins Kyle Davis in the ring.  He admits that he wasn’t at 100 percent when he faced Kerry Morton at Hard Times, but he assures the fans that won’t be the case. Morton comes out with an unnamed valet (who we learn is now his personal ring announcer), and he runs down the Prince of Old School.

Morton then tells Corino if he wants another match, he can have it…on one condition. He states that when he beats him, Corino must admit he is the best of all time.  The Prince is ready to fight, but Morton beats a retreat.

Jerk.

We then see Sirena Veil offer a Bloodbath Invitational to anyone wanting to challenge her for the Television title, which will happen later on.

King Trevor Murdoch I decrees that Duke Knox and Sir Tyler Franks will face β€œCaesar” Argento on their behalf next week.

With that, your first match of the night is for the…

NWA Women’s Television Championship: β€œThe Supreme” Sirena Veil(c)(with Paige Collett) vs. Bobbi Thunder

This is Thunder’s debut, having made her bones in Ohio Valley Wrestling and Memphis Wrestling, among other venues.

Television title rules in play, and Veil goes for the Bloodbath finisher, but Thunder escapes it.

The action is fast-paced as Thunder hits a Russian Legsweep.  Veil is in control until she gets nailed in the corner with a cannonball.

She picks up Veil, but the champ elbows her way out, and the Bloodbath is delivered with 2:24 left on the clock.

Your Winner, and Still NWA Women’s Television Champion:  Sirena Veil

β€œBig Ty” (Or Tyler Stevens, if you’re nasty)  tells everyone in the NWA that he is certified and wants to make his mark in the NWA.

But let’s move on to the next match, and this is for the…

NWA Television Championship: MZRY vs.Tony β€œLa Crema” Leyenda

Leyenda is a New Yorker making his debut on Powerrr, and MZRY (formerly Alex Misery) comes to the ring via skateboard.

Curious if Darby Allin will call that gimmick infringement.

Again, Television title rules apply for this match.  While Leyenda looks good, MZRY is on top and attacks inside and outside the ring with his unorthodox style.

Leyenda turns him inside out with a clothesline and stays on top to punish the champ.  He even backdrops MZRY to the top turnbuckle and covers for a count of two

He whips Leyenda into the ropes, hits a springboard cutter, then follows with a splash from up top to win in 2:07.

Your Winner, and Still NWA Television Champion:  MZRY

Pope speaks to The Light and explains why he needs to face Mims to prove he is right.

We see the results of last week’s main event loss, and Bryan Idol tries to tell his side of the story to Thom Latimer, but he won’t hear it.

But let’s head to the ring for your next match between…

Pretty Boy Smooth (with Pastor C-Lo) and Effy vs. Axton Ray and Shawn Carlson

This is the debut of Carlson, who has wrestled in 1CW Pro Wrestling, and Frontier Pro Wrestling.  As for the pairing of Smooth and Effy…?

All I can say is…I don’t understand, but I wanna see what they got.

Carlson and Effy start and he is not ready to deal with The Weapon of Sass Destruction.

Ray and Smooth tag in, and it’s a showcase of athleticism and power.  At one point, Effy tightrope walks with an assist by Smooth for a splash that gives the team a two count.

Carlson and Ray isolate Effy and he is a Feminist Icon in Peril.  They try to stop the hot tag, but it’s all for naught as Smooth is an Urban Playboy en Fuego.  Big Ty comes out and take out Pastor C-Lo, and then Smooth, allowing Ray to roll him up for the pin and the win.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Axton Ray and Shawn Carlson

Kenzie Paige has a bone to pick with her sister, Kylie, but she says they’ll have to work together as they defend the NWA Women’s Tag titles next week.

Brandon McCord approaches Blunt Force Trauma and assures he can get them anything. The Hardway come out

Now for something gargantuan, here’s…

Gretta (with Ms. Starr) vs. Ruby Red

I’d love to give you all some stat oin Red.  I really would.  But, you can smell the jobber in this match.

Simply put, Gretta toys with Red, and then signals the choke slam and goes for a ride to end this in short order.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Gretta

On the Carson Drake Experience is Dr. Chris Nowinski and they talk concussions. He’s doing well after NWA 78, and they promote the Concussion & CTE Foundation.

Thank goodness Drake didn’t fake an injury, right?

Right?

Right?!

Now for the Main Event, and it is a Grudge Match between…

Da Pope vs. Big Strong Mims

The bell rings and they lock up, going hold for hold.  A fist drop by Pope is missed and Mims takes advantage.

He shoves Pope to the corner and as the ref tries to separate them, Mims gets a poke in the eye.  Mims is in control showing why he is Big and Strong, until The Light come out to attack, and the ref calls for the bell.

Your Winner via Disqualification:  Da Pope

Pope pushes The Light away assuring them he can deal with this on his own as he drops him to close out the show.
