NWA Powerrr: The Country Gentlemen face a couple of Slimeballz

On this NWA POWERRR, we get the fallout from NWA 78 as new faces look to make an impression in the National Wrestling Alliance.  Plus, the NWA World Tag Team Championship is on the line in the main event as The Country Gentlemen of KC and AJ Cazana square off against opponents who are very slimy (Hey, just try me): Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant, The Slimeballz.

Who will stand out this night, and who will need to shower off the stench…of defeat?

We’ll find out later tonight, but first we witness the ending of NWA 78 as Drake got injured in the bout with β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason for the Ten Pounds of Gold.

Then we come to you from The PowerrrStation in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call. Your First Match of the Night is for the…

NWA Women’s World Championship: Tiffany Nieves (with Miss Starr and Gretta)(c) vs Joiya Blake

Billed as β€œThe Final Girl,” Blake has put in some work in Ohio Valley Wrestling, and getting a shot at The Burke is impressive enough.  As for Nieves, she swaggers in with her entourage in tow, not sweating her challenger.

La Princesa gets things started, but Blake shows flashes of brilliance, including a corner head scissors.

A sidewalk slam by the champ gets a two-count to stop the offense.  Things don’t look bueno for Blake as Nieves stretches her out on the ropes.  She fights back and gives the champ a German suplex.  Blake meets Eat De Feet, and Nieves stomps her a bit to tenderize her.

She punctuates her victory by delivering a Pedigree to Blake and pinning her with one boot.

Your Winner, and Still NWA Women’s World Champion:  Tiffany Nieves

Gretta gets ready to add more damage, but Starr curbs her, and it’s obvious that Nieves has got it.

Get it?

Β‘Bueno!

β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason and Alex Taylor discuss business they will address next week on NWA Powerrr

The Slimeballz are upset that people are saying Carson Drake faked an injury at NWA 78, and they decide to seek those people out and get the truth.

Now to strike up the One Man Band, because up next is…

Heath vs. Richard Adonis

Adonis is in the driver’s seat at the start, but Heath is fighting like he has kids to feed.  A back elbow and a double stomp to the back of his head, and the Silver Snake looks to make a statement.

However, Heath escapes a high-risk maneuver and gets his second wind.  One finisher later, and it’s time to strike up the band, baby.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Heath

We see what happened a month ago when Kyle Davis got in the ring with The Hardway, and before he could get a word in, the Brandon McCord Collection jumped them. Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie have some strong words, and next week they will face them in action.

Now for more title action for the…

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Hayden Backlund(c) vs. Nick Blackwell vs. Vin Parker

Backlund secured the title at NWA 78 after defeating Slade, and he wants to prove his worth.  Parker is no stranger to the promotion, but Blackwell is making his NWA debut after working for NetPro in Kingsport, TN.

Right away, the champ is sent out of the ring, and Parker and Blackwell go at it one-on-one.    But he comes back in and hits a nasty elbow drop on Parker, just missing Blackwell.  Backlund follows up with an elevated neckbreaker, and he celebrates a bit early.

Blackwell makes him pay, and a short arm clothesline gets a two-count.  A whip to the corner, and Parker comes in to do more damage, tossing the champ into Blackwell flawlessly.  Parker hits a Flawless Fisherman’s suplex but can’t keep the champ down.

A superkick to Blackwell, and Backlund cinches the crossface chicken wing to make him tap.

Your Winner via Submission, and Still NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion:  Hayden Backlund

The Gentlemen are pondering why The Slimeballz have a shot. Either way, they want to beat them By the Book.

Heath cuts a promo on being the number one contender for the Ten Pounds of Gold, and tells Mason the One Man Band is coming after him.

Now to add some meat to this match, it’s…

Kratos vs. Romeo Quevedo

Looks like Kratos is going solo again.  As for El Cubano Quevedo, the twenty-year veteran is getting his due in the NWA, after working in promotions like IWA Puerto Rico.

Quevedo soon realizes what it means to step up to the Most Feared, as Kratos launches him with a suplex across the ring and returns him the same way.

Quevedo leaps over a tackle, hits him with double knees, and gets a two-count.  Moonsault misses, and Kratos counters with a clothesline.

He delivers the K2G (Kratos 2 Grave; a Sister Abigail variation) to secure the pin and the win.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Kratos

Chantz and Rant talk to Thom Latimer to see if Drake is faking. They don’t like his answer and call him a liar, and Latimer tells them where to stick it.

We see the aftermath of the three-on-one with Nattie Neidhart against Kylie and Kenzie Paige, and how she clocked her sister with the tag belt.

Kenzie does not want an apology from Kylie, and she is done. Except they have a tag match next week, and Tommy Henry has a headache on his hands with his two daughters.

Now for the main event, and it’s for the…

NWA World Tag Team Championship: The Country Gentlemen (KC and AJ Cazana, with Col. Joe Cazana) vs. The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant)

The bell rings, and AJ and Rant lock up.  The Slimeball powerhouse takes it to the Bull Headed Brute, who quickly tags in β€œWhite Lightning” KC.  Chantzis in now and rocks the younger Cazana, and The Slimeballz make sure their tag team combo gets dirty in Slimeball City.

Joe grabs Chantz’s ankle, and AJ takes advantage by punking him out while KC gets the ref’s attention.  From there it’s…

Ads ( Where Carson Drake and Aron Stevens discuss his health, and how he should get his rematch with Mason for the next NWA signature event)

We come back, and Chantz is a Slimeball in Peril as the Country Gentlemen display that Tennessee hospitality.  He tries to escape, but they block any chance for a tag and stretch the Slimeball out like silly putty.  The Cazanas miscommunicate on their tag team tandem, and the hot tag to Rant makes him go fiery in Slimeball City.

The Snot Rocket is signaled, but Blunt Force Trauma comes out and interferes.

KC and AJ take advantage and deliver the Gentlemen’s Touch for the one, two, and three.

Your Winners via Pinfall, and Still NWA World Tag Team Champions:  The Country Gentlemen

Once again, the Tag Team Champions pull off a tainted victory as the show comes to a close.
