Time to go home on this NWA POWERRR as the National Wrestling Alliance gears up for NWA 75, and for the amuse bouche in the main event it will be the Crockett Cup winners Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch facing Thom Latimer and Chris Adonis in tag team action to gain further momentum heading into the pay-per-view.

We are at StudioOne for the last time in Highland Park, Il. Joe Galli and Tim Storm have the call with your First Match of the Night, and it is a…

Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Fixers, LLC. (Jay Bradley, Wrecking Ball Legursky, and Matt Vine) vs. The Spectaculars (Rush Freeman, Bradley Pierce, and Rolondo Freeman)

Rush and Vine start out and he and Pierce are looking spectacular keeping the junior Fixer in the corner until Rolando gets in.  It’s a quick tag and Rush gets back in control.  Vine pulls back on Rush’s hair and now “The Boss” Bradley tags in and brings the heat.  Now Legursky enters the fray and body slams Vine on top of Rush, much to his chagrin.  Rush is not doing so spectacular and is in Peril until a reverse slam creates some space.  There’s a hot tag to Rolando and the Biggest Brother is… eh, let’s say “on fire.”  The Fixers shrug off Rolando’s “offense” until Pierce blind tags himself in.  Rolando goes for a crossbody,  only for Legursky to catch him.  Pierce dropkicks Rolando onto Legursky for a pin, but it doesn’t last.  Rush and Pierce battle Vine on the outside, leaving Rolando to head back into the ring to face The Fixers.  He attempts a sleeper but Bradley throws him off in the center of the ring and he and Legursky double splash him, and Rolando is tossed out of the ring like a lawn dart onto all three men on the outside.  Pierce is thrown back in, and a powerbomb/ big elbow combo by The Fixers ensures they get the easy win.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  The Fixers, LLC.

Tag Meam Match: Eric Jackson & “Psycho Boy” Fodder (with Angelina Love) vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd)

The Outrunners look good early in the opening moments of the bout keeping the Psycho Boy grounded on the mat.  However, there is a reason Fodder is a “Psycho” as he bites away at Magnum but the Truth is able to chop him down.  Love climbs on the apron and provides a distraction for the horned-up Magnum until Fodder knocks him out of the ring and Love rakes her nails across his back.  Fodder and Jackson keep Magnum away from Floyd, and he is an Outrunner in Peril.  Magnum fights his way out, as Fodder tries to drag him back to the center of the ring.  He finally gets the hot tag to Floyd and he is Fuchsia en Fuego.  He lands a neckbreaker to Fodder that would make Rick Rude round, and The Outrunners deliver a swinging neckbreaker/slam combo to Jackson for the pin and the win.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  The Outrunners

May Valentine with Aron Stevens and Blunt Force Trauma. Stevens lets us know that he thought of nothing else than the loss of the NWA Tag Team title to La Rebelion two years ago, and now with him guiding Carnage and Damage, he promises retribution.  On Night One of NWA 75, his plans will come to fruition and Stevens warns Vampiro to stay out of the way.  For everyone else, they should expect Blunt Force Trauma.

Kyle Davis is in the ring with Daisy Kill and he wants to serenade a Chicago legend. First Jeremiah Plunkett comes out (who is not from Chicago, obviously).  Kill doesn’t want him (BOO)…he wants Robert “EGO” Anthony.   The big man comes out, and Kill attacks Plunkett and sends him out, and we learn from Galli that we have an authorized match and it is a…

No Disqualification, Triple Threat Match:  Robert “Ego” Anthony Vs. Daisy Kill vs. Jeremiah Plunkett

Anthony overpowers both men easily but Kill sneaks from behind to land a sidewalk slam on the Ego.  Plunkett comes back in and he slams Kill hard to the mat until  Anthony comes back in a big way.  While Anthony catches Kill in a botched Crossbody, Plunkett is not out of this yet as he nails a standing dropkick, followed by the best spinneroonie ever!

(Author’s Note:  Until someone can come up with something better (but they won’t) I hereby dub the move, “The Tateroonie™.”  So it is written, so shall it be done!).

Plunkett measures and clothesline Anthony, until Kill comes back with a ripcord roundhouse kick to the Tater Peeler.  Anthony recovers and cinches a vicious single crab to Kill and punches his knee until Talos enters the ring and gives a boot to his head and choke slams Plunkett.

And then it gets crazier.

Judais enters the rings and returns the receipt to Talos.  Then Gaagz comes in, gives The Priest of Punishment a shot in the…errr, little Judaises and delivers the Gaagz Reflex.  Demolition derby doesn’t even begin to describe the craziness.  Plunkett is dazed and covers Talos who is not the legal man in this bout, and Anthony clotheslines him to hell.  Kill comes back with a roundhouse kick to the Ego, and finishes him off with a basement superkick for the three count.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Daisy Kill

Time for DLZ, and Danny Dealz is excited about NWA 75.  He chats up the scorned Pollo Del Mar and she says she is a changed woman.  Clearly, after recent events it occurs to her that “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason has done her so dirty.  Plus it is also clear to her that he cannot handle a woman like her, and we may see some things from Pollo Del Mar at the PPV.

Color me intrigued, as I will be there in person.

May Valentine now speaks with Natalia Markova, and she inquires if The Crush has turned a new leaf.  Markova lets Valentine and the fans know she is the same but the world has changed, and she has another chance at NWA 75 to challenge Kamille and claims she will enjoy taking the Burke to end the 800-day reign of The Brickhouse.  Markova also claims she learned of a weakness that intends to exploit at NWA 75.

But let’s go back to ringside for another match between…

Ruthie Jay vs. Samantha Starr

The Third Generation Starr and the Five Star Athlete are evenly matched through the bout.  Starr goes for a cover, and Jay makes a Matrix escape that would make Elix Skipper proud.  Jay then goes for a series of kicks followed by a standing dropkick, and Starr takes a powder to the outside to reassess things.  Jay parts the ropes and invites her back in.  Starr obliges and then hits her with clotheslines and gets a two count, and then follows up with a Samoan drop for another near fall.  Starr whips her into the corner and follows with a corner splash that misses the mark. Jay counters with an Awesome clothesline and follows with a slingshot double knees to Starr in the corner, and covers for another count of two.  As Jay climbs the top turnbuckle, Starr hits the top ropes to make Jay lose her balance and tumble to the outside.  Now Starr invites Jay back into the ring and parts the ropes.  As she climbs back in, Starr blindsided Jay with a forearm to back and plants her in the center with the Starrstruck DDT.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Samantha Starr

Joe Alonzo with his social media dissing Homicide.  See for yourself.

The Notorious 187 will kill him, and I can’t wait to watch it at NWA 75.

May Valentine talks with Kenzie Paige and Kamille. Paige is pumped to represent at NWA 75 as the NWA Television champion because she is amazing. She wishes Kamille good luck since she would love to take The Burke after she defends her title for the seventh time to cash in the title shot. Kamille states she is in the top five premier wrestlers today, and while she respects Paige as a wrestler…she lets her know she is hanging around some teenybopper BS to realize her full potential. Then Kamille addresses Markova’s earlier statement about her weakness and points out she has not yet exploited it and confidently states she will still be the One Time holder of The Burke.

Now for the Main Event and this will be a…

Two Out of Three Falls Match: Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch vs. Chris Adonis and Thom Latimer

It’s been a hot minute since Latimer and Adonis were Strictly Business, and Knox and Murdoch are needing the forward momentum heading into NWA 75.

The bell rings and Latimer and Knox start out, and The King of All Evil works on the arm and keeps away from his usual brawling offense.  A tag to Adonis but Knox rakes his eyes and now he tags in Murdoch, and they have some nice tag chemistry while Adonis and Latimer are trying to get on the same page.  Murdoch pushes his one-time rival into the corner, but Adonis chops away at his chest.  He nails a shoulder tackle to cover for two and then measures him for the Masterlock.  Knox manages to get the blind tag and he lands a running crossbody on Adonis for a two count and then follows up with a vertical suplex.  He has the edge in brute strength and then he tags back in Murdoch and helps him with an assisted leg drop for another two count.

Murdoch then knocks Latimer off the apron and as he goes back, Adonis catches him with a hip toss.  He goes for the tag but Latimer is missing. Knox is back in and attacks with a corner splash from behind and covers to get the first fall.  As Latimer comes back in, Adonis pie faces Latimer for missing the tag.  Latimer gets heated, and Knox shoves him into Adonis, who proceeds to cinch in the Masterlock as he passes out.  He eyes Knox and Murdoch, who are staring him down, and Adonis tosses Latimer to the wolves. As he tries to get back up, Murdoch and Knox deliver the high/low finisher to Latimer and cover for the decisive second fall in one, two, and three.

Your Winners in Two Falls:  Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox

After the match, Adonis grabs the Television title and looks at it longingly before putting it on Latimer’s chest as the show goes to the credits.

3.5

Final Thoughts:

The Main Event really showcased some of the things to expect at NWA 75, and Murdoch/Knox/Adonis/Latimer proved why they are the tops on the card, and apparently, Latimer has a dance partner now in Adonis going into NWA 75.  The No-DQ match was all sorts of insane, and The Outrunners need to do more in the NWA.

Until then, see ya in St. Louis for live coverage of NWA 75.
