Back to Atlanta for more Hard Times on NWA Powerrr

This NWA Powerrr starts off with Hard Times, coming back to Atlanta, GA, and the National Wrestling Alliance is ready to give the fans all the action they can stand.

One of those matches featured in the main event is Pretty Empowered, as they defend their NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship against “The Supreme” Sirena Veil alongside newcomer Alice Crowley.  Kylie and Kenzie Paige are great as a tag team, but sometimes… sisters will bicker.

Can they stay focused and keep the belts around their waists this evening?

NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship: Slade (with Aron Stevens)(c) vs. “The Face” Damian Fenrir

Galli notes this is Fenrir’s chance for a shot at “The Hodge” in honor of Danny Hodge, who once held the title.

Stevens distracts Fenrir, and Slade takes advantage, but The Face hits a nice dropkick followed by a vertical suplex. He gets physical with the champ and Fenrir makes sure he knows who is in charge.

Stevens gets on the mat to distract, and Fenrir swipes at him, and that allows Slade to take him on a one-way ride to suplexes and slams.  Fenrir refuses to lie down, and Slade takes up top for a superplex, but gets pushed off.  He attempts a suplex, but Slade counters for an ankle lock until Fenrir pushes away.  One Busaiku Knee to the champ to cover, and Stevens casually drapes Slade’s foot on the rope to break the count.  He attempts the Lightning Bomb, but Slade counters for the Slade Slam, and he gets a close two count.  Now he cinches the Slade Lock, but Fenrir rolls to a cover for a near fall.  Fenrir takes off the glove and goes up top, where Stevens drops him with the loaded glove.  The ref calls the match, and while Slade thinks he won, it’s announced that…

Alas, the title does not change hands, so Slade keeps the belt.  For now

Backstage, Da Pope is with The Light, wondering where Mims is, and he finally comes over.  He tells him that Pope will take on Carnage, and I say…Good luck with that.

NWA U.S. Tag Team Championship: The SlimeBallz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant(c) vs. The Hardway (Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie)

Both men are champs in NWA Chicago, and Gelli reminds us that they won a number-one contender opportunity for these belts.  As for the Slimeballz, they come out bedecked in George Washington colonial outfits befitting the Presidents of the US Tag Team champions.  Interestingly, no Stevens with them at ringside.

Chantz faces McKenzie and goes after the much larger man until he catches him in a Military press and drops him on the mat.

Now it’s Rant and Vaughn, and The Veteran is nonplussed at the antics of the Slimeballz.  McKenzie is back and attempts to rush for a tackle, but Chantz pulls Rant out.  Stevens comes out and trips up the Hardway, but gets caught red-handed by the ref and is ejected.

Rant comes back, and he and Chantz isolate McKenzie, placing him In Peril The Hardway.  They attempt a double suplex, but he reverses and gets the hot tag to Vaughn, making him a Veteran en Fuego.  The Slimeballz go for their SnotRocket finisher, but McKenzie pushes Chantz off and gives Rant their Hard Times finisher, which means…

Natalia Markova cuts a promo on her match next week against Tiffany Nieves, as she promises she will take back The Burke  at Hard Times

We get a recap of Kerry Morton interfering in the tag match with Silas Mason and Bryan Idol against The Wrestling Machines, and in the ring with Kyle Davis are Kerry and his dad, Ricky Morton.

Normally, I’d transcribe word-for-word what was said.  However, since my dance card is full this evening, the gist of it is that Kerry is the man who is a draw that pouts asses in seats, and cares little for what anyone thinks.  He even goes so far as to say that Mason can kiss his ass and he will claim the Ten Pounds of Gold because that is what’s best for business.

Even Ricky agrees because he wants Kerry to learn from the “mistakes” of his past and ensures us that we are seeing your next champion in Kerry Morton.

Alex Misery cuts a promo on Daisy Kill, and he will rip him apart next week.

Now for a powerhouse match between…

Hammerstone vs. Richard Adonis

It’s Your Boy Hammer versus a Silver Snake, and Adonis is learning how hard Hammerstone hits.

He manages to find his groove and wears down the powerhouse, even giving Hammerstone some joint manipulation.  That awakens the big man, and he goes to work on Adonis, even launching him with a belly-to-belly suplex.  One Nightmare Pendulum later, and Adonis is out for the count.

Paige Collett is here to hype up Sirena Veil and Alice Crowley.  Crowley knows the sisters well, and Veil is readyu to drain them dry.

On this Carson Drake Experience is King Trevor Murdoch the First and his Royal Court.  They will display their skill and wit against Mims and The Light next week

How droll, indeed.  Also, when’s the next Renaissance Faire in Missouri?  I’d love to see those guys get into it with that crowd.

Meanwhile, TV-MA hype up Tiffany Nieves, and assure her she will defend her title successfully next week against Natalia Markova.

Crowley has made a name for herself on the indies, specifically with OVW.  Collett has been more involved with JCW, so for both women, this is their NWA debut, and they have a tall order against the Paige sisters.

Crowley is in the ring, and Kenzie is going to start, but Kylie tags herself in immediately and fires with both barrels.  Veil tags in, and then things turn for the Paige Sisters and then we go to…

(Ads, where Jack and Eddy try to do a promo, but the “Thrillbilly” channels his inner Elmer Fudd and tells them to be vewy, vewy quiet.  He’s huntin’ Mortons.)

We’re back, and Kylie is getting beaten down as Veil drops her with a Michinoke Driver for a count of two.

She and Crowley isolate the younger Paige, putting Pretty Much In Peril.  A bit of miscommunication, and she manages to escape for the hot tag to big sis, and Kenzie is Empowered and en Fuego.  At one point she drops Crowley into a piledriver on Veil’s prone body and covers for one, two…no dice.

A Kenzie Cutter finds the mark, but Kylie tags in and covers for the glory in one, two, and three.

After the match, Tommy Henry gets in the ring to figure out what the hell is going on, only for Kylie to slap her dad in the face and storm out of the ring.  There’s more drama going on than we realized with the sisters as the show comes to a close.
