New details have emerged regarding changes made to the Netflix replay of WWE Night of Champions, with a new report revealing the edits were made by WWE rather than the streaming platform.
The changes came after Bron Breakker was left bloodied during his Steel Cage Match against Seth Rollins at the June 27 premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
During the match, Breakker sustained a cut near his left eye and was shown bleeding at times on live television. However, fans noticed that the replay available on Netflix had been altered, with Breakker’s head blurred during several moments to obscure the blood.
According to PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson, those edits were carried out by WWE itself and extended beyond simply blurring the footage.
The report states that some camera angles from the live broadcast were replaced with alternative shots that kept Breakker out of frame after he began bleeding. In one instance, the replay reportedly cuts away to a crowd shot for several seconds instead of showing the in-ring action.

PWInsider also noted that WWE edited the crowd audio on the replay. Following Seth Rollins’ superplex that drove Breakker through a table, the live audience’s “holy sh*t” chant was replaced with a “This is awesome!” chant, something the company has regularly done on replay versions of its programming.
The edits drew attention because highlights shared during the event, including footage posted by ESPN, showed Breakker bleeding without any alterations.
While WWE has often presented bloody moments in black and white in past videos and promotional material, the company has also made similar edits to archived footage over the years, particularly involving chair shots to the head. The latest changes are believed to have been made to ensure the replay complies with content standards across the various international markets where Netflix distributes WWE programming.
