Ric Flair has revealed that he is dealing with health issues after being unable to travel to Las Vegas to receive a prestigious wrestling honour in person.
The 77-year-old recently confirmed on social media that he has been experiencing health problems, although he did not disclose any further details regarding his condition. Those issues prevented Flair from attending the Cauliflower Alley Club’s annual reunion, which was held from August 24–26 at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Despite being unable to travel, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer still appeared live via video to accept the organisation’s highest honour, the “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award. Jerry Lawler introduced Ric Flair during the presentation, with Jimmy Hart also appearing on stage. Steve Argintaru of TSN, who attended, reported on the ceremony and shared photos of Flair’s video appearance.

Ric Flair’s absence from the ceremony comes after he acknowledged publicly that he has been dealing with health problems. While those issues were significant enough to prevent him from travelling to Las Vegas, no specific details regarding Flair’s condition have been revealed.
The “Iron” Mike Mazurki Award is the highest honour presented by the Cauliflower Alley Club and has been awarded annually since 1992. Named after club co-founder “Iron” Mike Mazurki, a professional wrestler who later became a Hollywood character actor, the award recognises individuals whose careers embody the organisation’s spirit.
Flair joins a long list of prominent figures from professional wrestling to receive the award, accepting the honour remotely while his current health issues kept him from attending the ceremony in person.
