Nikki Bella has reflected on missing WrestleMania 42 and says WrestleMania 43 will “probably” be her last.
At WrestleMania 42, Nikki Bella was meant to team up with her sister Brie to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, the two-time Divas Champion suffered an ankle injury that forced her to miss the show. In her place, Paige made her triumphant return to WWE, winning the titles alongside Brie.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella admitted that she fears she has missed her chance of having a WrestleMania moment in front of her friends and family. Next year, the event will be held in Saudi Arabia, and Bella says it is likely the last time she will compete on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
“I don’t think a WrestleMania moment for me is going to come around. I get that I’ll probably have my last WrestleMania next year in Saudi maybe, but other than that, that will be it for me.
“So this would have been my last WrestleMania moment to share with family members and share with people here and, you know, really feel something. And I’ve worked really hard the past year and a half and I haven’t complained.
“I’ve done what I’ve been told. You know, I’ve helped put people over, even though I don’t care about that. But I’ve really, as far as my character and the impact that I can have, I’ve been very okay taking a step back and helping out and not bitching about it.
“So this was my moment that I worked really hard for this past year and a half. And for that to all go away is extremely hard.”
Nikki Bella Reveals Return Timeline
Nikki Bella is optimistic she won’t be out of action for long. Responding to a fan on social media, the star said she hopes to return within 6-8 weeks. Despite being injured, Bella has continued to appear on WWE TV wearing a walking boot. While fans had initially looked to blame Nia Jax for the injury, Nikki has since dispelled the speculation, saying Jax actually helped her when it happened.
