More information is starting to come out about the controversy caused by a social media post by Odinson and the response by NWA owner William Patrick Corgan.
According to various sources online and even a few people on Reddit pointed to what caused the issue. Sometime last week, Odinson filmed a promo on Instagram’s Stories, where he allegedly went off on the finals of The Crockett Cup, which featured The Country Gentlemen in AJ and KC Cazana, and the Titans of Calamity, Jack Talos and Ren Ayabe. During the promo, Odinson supposedly used a homophobic slur to address the “cowboys” in the Gentlemen, and even went off on the two guys somehow connected to All Japan, presumably referring to Ayabe and Talos.
The offending video/reel had since been taken down, which led the National Wrestling Alliance to go into damage control across its various social media platforms with the following statement from Corgan.
The NWA would like to sincerely apologize for the insensitive comments made by Odinson on social media. These statements do not reflect the values, views, or beliefs of the NWA organization. We do not condone hateful or offensive remarks of any kind and remain committed to… pic.twitter.com/kC5VYtzeMr

Odinson first came to the NWA alongside his tag team partner at the time, Parrow (who is openly gay and even once came out with a rainbow flag at an NWA event), and they were known as The End. They were even together as a team in All Japan Pro Wrestling. Since Parrow left, Odinson stayed on in the promotion in singles competition before tagging with Kratos as The Immortals. They found success at the 2025 Crockett Cup and then went on to claim the NWA World Tag Team titles that same year.
On promos during episodes of NWA Powerrr, and when we at Slamwrestling.net interviewed them on April 4th at The Crockett Cup, Odinson and Kratos were determined to be the first tag team in history to win the Cup back-to-back. Sadly, those plans did not come to fruition, as The Titans of Calamity would claim the sixteenth-seed and then not only defeat The Immortals in the opening round but also go on to defeat the Gentlemen.

We reached out to the NWA to ask if they had more to say about Odinson’s video beyond the press release. We also attempted to contact Odinson for his side of the story. As of press time, neither party had responded to our queries.
The NWA is scheduled to do tapings of its next signature event, Hard Times, at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA. While The Immortals have been featured in promotional artwork, they have yet to be announced as part of the card.
We at Slamwrestling.net will follow this story as it develops.
