Ric Flair has threatened legal action over the alleged unauthorised sale of several of his famous wrestling robes.
The 16-time World Champion raised the issue on social media after spending the weekend in Philadelphia for an appearance with Dynasty Sports, claiming that some of his robes are being sold by people who cannot prove they legitimately acquired them. Ric Flair specifically accused Tiffany VanDemark of stealing five robes. The allegation has not been independently established.
“Unfortunately, It Has Come To My Attention That My Robes Are Being Sold By People Who Don’t Own Them Or Have A Receipt From Me,” Flair wrote. “If They Do, They Are More Than Welcome To. If They Don’t, Just Like Tiffany VanDemark, Who Stole Five Of Them, As Of Tomorrow, My Attorney Will Seek Legal Documentation And If You Don’t Have It, You Will Be Expecting A Letter From My Attorney In Boston.”

Ric Flair explained that preserving memorabilia from his legendary wrestling career has become increasingly important to him as he has grown older.
“I Can’t Imagine Why Anybody Would Steal Anything That I Worked So Hard For. Not Cool And I’m Coming For You,” he continued. “Hate To Be The Bearer Of Bad News, But As I Get Older, I Understand The Importance Of Having Some Of My Memorabilia.”
Flair later returned to social media after reading responses to his initial comments and put a new spin on one of his famous catchphrases.
“After Reading Your Comments, I Am Very Humored. So I Have A New Saying, My Robes Are Worth More Than Your House! Rather Than My Shoes, It’s Now My Robes.”
The WWE Hall of Famer also warned that he intends to pursue the matter, saying it “shouldn’t be taken lightly”. Flair shared several photographs of his elaborate robes alongside his comments and later invited anyone possessing one to meet him while he was attempting to travel back to Tampa.
The comments come days after Flair revealed that blood clots in his legs prevented him from travelling to Las Vegas for the Cauliflower Alley Club event. He was nevertheless able to travel to Philadelphia shortly afterwards for his scheduled Dynasty Sports appearance.
