Jim Ross has revealed that doctors are monitoring him for possible dementia or Alzheimer’s disease following recent neurological testing. Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, the AEW commentator said his neurologist raised concerns after reviewing medical test results, leading to further evaluations. Ross noted that no formal diagnosis has been confirmed, but admitted the situation is serious.
Despite questioning what treatment options are currently available, Ross said he is willing to follow any preventative measures or medications doctors recommend. The WWE Hall of Famer added that he otherwise feels physically well and recently received positive results regarding his blood pressure, blood sugar and overall health. Ross has dealt with several health issues in recent years, including battles with Bell’s palsy and skin cancer, while continuing his work in AEW.
New details have emerged regarding Nikki Blackheart’s recent WWE signing. According to Bryan Alvarez, the former independent wrestler previously worked as a cheerleader for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and trained under Gangrel before catching WWE’s attention shortly after WrestleMania 41 in 2025. Alvarez reported that Blackheart became one of WWE’s top recruitment targets and was heavily endorsed by Bayley ahead of her tryout earlier this year. Blackheart recently debuted in a dark match at the WWE Performance Center and has reportedly relocated to Orlando under a standard developmental contract believed to last around three years.
Marie Malenko, the daughter of former Four Horsemen member Dean Malenko, has officially joined the WWE Performance Center as part of WWE’s latest recruitment class. WWE announced a new four-person class that also includes Mason Rook, Nicole Martinez and Marcus Brown, with Malenko now using the ring name Lacey Simon. Malenko previously attended a WWE tryout earlier this year and has already gained experience wrestling in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
Meanwhile, Nicole Martinez was identified as independent wrestler Nikki Blackheart, who recently worked a dark match at NXT after reportedly becoming a major WWE recruitment target. The class also includes Mason Rook, who has already debuted on WWE television, and former bodybuilder Marcus Brown, who attended a WWE tryout in 2025.
