Baron Corbin’s reported return to WWE now appears to be moving closer to reality.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is a growing belief internally within WWE that the former United States Champion will be returning to the company. The report added that several people in the WWE locker room have strongly backed the idea of bringing Baron Corbin back, with sources describing him as a “locker room favorite” during his original run with the promotion.
Fightful Select has also confirmed that Corbin has now wrapped up his commitments with Major League Wrestling. An earlier report from Sean Ross Sapp stated that sources believed Corbin was either already signed or close to finalising a deal with WWE. The latest update further clarified that the former WWE star had been finishing up obligations outside the company before any potential return.
Since leaving WWE in 2024, Tom Pestock, Corbin’s real name, has competed under the Bishop Dyer name across several promotions, including MLW, National Wrestling Alliance, Game Changer Wrestling, Maple Leaf Pro, and World Series Wrestling.
Baron Corbin Addressed Rumours Of His Imminent WWE Return On Social Media
Baron Corbin also addressed the recent reports of his WWE return himself on social media with a sarcastic response.
“I accepted eight shows in Europe,” Pestock wrote on Twitter. “I also didn’t know I was done with some of these companies.”
WWE has previously allowed incoming talent to complete independent dates after signing with the company, particularly during the early stages of a return or debut.
